View 1 RepliesI use a Bold 9780 and have T-Mobile US as a provider. From my Gmail account I get mail sent twice, once from Gmail and once from Unknown. Checked with T-Mobile but did not get a satisfactory response. Ideally, I would like to do away with the extra copy.

I can send emails and the other party receives them but I can't get replies back. I have tried sending service books and register phone via advanced options, there are no filters etc.
View 4 Replies View Related9780/6.0.0.570. For the past 24 hours my emails have been coming through and I've been receiving the usual notifications via the message icon when they do. Trouble is, when I then click on my email account to read these messages, they are not there - the screen reads *no messages*. How I might be able to read my emails? I've done two battery pulls and have deleted and set-up my email account all over again - neither tricks have worked.

View 3 Replies View RelatedOn initial setup, my half pound of sausage fingers and haste when setting up email, clicked on enterprise setup in error. What am stuck with now is that unable 'to go back' and email stuck on enterprise (although I am not subscriber.) Have tried all suggestions including return to factory settings, etc.. Have made purchase of another sim card and situation still exactly the same.

When I click on send a new email a message comes up that my service is blocked.When I run Setup > Email settings, it starts to load up something then comes up with an error of 'Your device had a problem connecting to the server'

Have set up BIS, but whenever I have tried to set up any of my email accounts it just keeps coming up with error - unable to connect to server, then user name and password must be incorrect, check your server. All user names and passwords correct. Have gone through the cold reboot - Registered the Blackberry, removed the Service Books and tried to reinstate the accounts and it keeps coming up with the same error.

It works on my blackberry ID so I`m sure I use both correct user name and password.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just installed the latest update for my Bold 9780 from the Blackberry site. The version now shows 6.0, bundle 2647. I do now encounter a problem. When I access the email setup the device freezes and I can't exit that page anymore. The device has to be turned off, then back on. I did not have this problem prior to the update. Everything else appears okay.I am on the German Telekom network.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was able to use Internet Mail accounts, before installing BES (by accident) on my BlackBerry Bold 9780 v6.0.After performing a factory reset and wiping my BB, (to get rid of BES), email is not working anymore.When going to Setup --> Email account --> Internet Mail account --> I can not Activate the email accounts (activate button is greyed out), nor can I remove them.

1- Whenever I go to the E-mail setup, it says "Checking For Updates"
2- Directs me to the Browser in order to download the update
3- Once I do the update, my phone just freezes and does not reboot after a long time. And even if it does reboot, the home page does not load I had to reinstall the OS several times and now I can't even set up any E-mail accounts because it just brings me back to the "Update".I need to be able to receive e-mails on my device.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI connected my Bold9780 to my PC and I was told there was a device upgrade and that it would take some time. I set it off and my computer crashed (power cut). At first all seemed ok, the upgrade seems to have been successfully installed. However I cannot send or receive emails now. I have tried to reconcile and nothing at all happens. If I try to access my email via settings I just get a message saying "Your device has a problem connecting to the internet" and I'm offered RETRY or CANCEL I've retried loads of times without success. The phone and texting work fine but I cannot access any apps either as it just says "server can not be found"

I've tried taking the battery out for 30 seconds, finding service books (it won't let me send), and i've tried checking if it was hidden, but i didn't know how to check that on the 9780. I've tried looking it up and every post says "from the home screen, press menu and then show all" but there is no regular menu option nor is there a show all.

Then now when I m trying to go in the option Email account management, a message appears which says: Unable to open email setup application. Contact your wireless service provider. My phone operator is vodaphone.nl and I have the data plan. I tried to deleted all the service books, tried to register it again, and also tried to wipe the blackberry. The result is the same, this application doesnt come back. Is there any way to reinstall this application?

Also using blackberry desktop software I tried to restore backup from my old phone to the new one but it has not updated my bbm. The previous bbm contacts are there but I cant send a message to anyone. Do I need to add all of them again?

View 2 Replies View RelatedIts been a while since I purchased my Blackberry Bold 9780 (February to be precise). I was extremely happy with its functioning aand it never gave me any problems...until yesterday. I have a Apple Macbook on which I have loaded the Desktop Software to backup my data, transfer music, photos, etc.Yesterday as soon as I connected my device to my computer it notified me that there were updates for my device and if I would like to install them. I ticked on the necessary options to backup my data and initiated the update process. That was the last time I saw my device working fine. It took a while to update after which it finally showed up on my desktop software. The OS was now 6.0 build 2647. I safely disconnected my phone to check whether everything was ok. At first glance it was all good and that was until I went into the setup app on my device and clicked on email set-up. It just showed a small loader for a microsecond but didn't respond. To make matters worse, I couldn't exit the setup app and the device just hung up. After a hard reset, it did manage to enter the email setup app, showed me two options (Internet mail account, Enterprise account). clicking on any one of them bought me back to the same hang where the device just froze. Multiple hard resets later, took another route to find the problem. This time through my email message inbox---->options---->account management. This is where is showed me a message which read that it was unable to load my account settings and I ned to contact my wireless service provider. 2 hours on the phone with the tech supervisor from Orange and half hour of security wipe, left me back to square one. Issue not resolved yet, device takes ages to start and flashes a red light everytime before it boots....and most importantly can't setup any new mail nor can update the settings of the current ones.

About 2 days ago, my inmail24 pop3 service start trouble by sending same email to my blackberry cell phone as long I haven"t deleted those email via webmail. this is very annoying, i have to log in to webmail to delete all the inbox so it wont received again in my 9700. however as soon as new emails coming to my inbox, the problem arise again, it received again and again same email. my other email which i connected with push email, did not have any problem, received only once at any email and did not get any duplication received. Also my outlook at my computer is normal, receive all email only once, and did not get any duplication as my blackberry 9700 phones.

I can't even exit the app. I have to remove the battery to be able to use the device again. This has been a long standing problem with this device. 1. Perform a complete back up using Blackberry Desktop Software.
2. Perform security wipe manually on the phone via Options > Security > Security Wipe.
3. After wiped, I using Blackberry Desktop Software to restore my backed up data.
4. Starting from now, i can't send/receive emails.
I have try go to Setup > Email Accounts > click into Internet Mail Account, but it bound back to the Setup page. Then i try Message icon > Options > Email Account Management, it prompt up "Unable to open email setup application. Contact your wireless service provider" message. May I khow what happen to my blackberry?

I've searched every forums and search engine for this, but cannont pin point my exact problem...I bought a 9780 yesterday, everything was fine, i set up my emails etc... everything worked.THEN... i stupidly security waped the phone this when things changed.Once the phone came back on i re-configured my email accounts, but now when i go onto my emails i see no inbox folder or emails what was there previouslyALTHOUGH i can send and recieve emails, but these come in list format...Ive made sure and uncheak the hide folder and sent numerous service book requests (these come through...)
