I purchased a Bold 9780. Everything works fine, exept that by mistake I deleted the application called "Email Setup Application". Then now when I m trying to go in the option Email account management, a message appears which says: Unable to open email setup application. Contact your wireless service provider. My phone operator is vodaphone.nl and I have the data plan. I tried to deleted all the service books, tried to register it again, and also tried to wipe the blackberry. The result is the same, this application doesnt come back. Is there any way to reinstall this application?
I have just installed the latest update for my Bold 9780 from the Blackberry site. The version now shows 6.0, bundle 2647. I do now encounter a problem. When I access the email setup the device freezes and I can't exit that page anymore. The device has to be turned off, then back on. I did not have this problem prior to the update. Everything else appears okay.I am on the German Telekom network.
Its been a while since I purchased my Blackberry Bold 9780 (February to be precise). I was extremely happy with its functioning aand it never gave me any problems...until yesterday. I have a Apple Macbook on which I have loaded the Desktop Software to backup my data, transfer music, photos, etc.Yesterday as soon as I connected my device to my computer it notified me that there were updates for my device and if I would like to install them. I ticked on the necessary options to backup my data and initiated the update process. That was the last time I saw my device working fine. It took a while to update after which it finally showed up on my desktop software. The OS was now 6.0 build 2647. I safely disconnected my phone to check whether everything was ok. At first glance it was all good and that was until I went into the setup app on my device and clicked on email set-up. It just showed a small loader for a microsecond but didn't respond. To make matters worse, I couldn't exit the setup app and the device just hung up. After a hard reset, it did manage to enter the email setup app, showed me two options (Internet mail account, Enterprise account). clicking on any one of them bought me back to the same hang where the device just froze. Multiple hard resets later, took another route to find the problem. This time through my email message inbox---->options---->account management. This is where is showed me a message which read that it was unable to load my account settings and I ned to contact my wireless service provider. 2 hours on the phone with the tech supervisor from Orange and half hour of security wipe, left me back to square one. Issue not resolved yet, device takes ages to start and flashes a red light everytime before it boots....and most importantly can't setup any new mail nor can update the settings of the current ones.
I have a BB Bold 9650 and I deleted the Email setup app and then performed a complete restoration on my phone the application is still missing. how to reinstall the application? Right now I don't have any e-mail accounts working.
Last week Verizon had an interuption in e-mail service.I received a notification on my Blackberry that I needed to verify my Password.I tried, but recevied a message saying email setup application is not available.I have tried numerous times since then to no avail.I even tried rebooting my phone. I'm not sure if it is a Blackberry issue or a Verizon issue.
My Carrier is [URL] And I have a BIS plan. I wipe my 9700 today, but when I setup my email account, it shows "unable to open email setup application"finally I found the problem may be KB26055 but i don't know where to download the application.
I just bought a new BB Bold 9780 and I was trying to configure my email account (hotmail) at first time. When I clicked on the email options the software send me a message that a new version of that program was available so I clicked YES to uptade. Later I received another message: "com.rim.bis.client" contains a different version of module "net_rim_bis_client," which is also used by "Email Setup Application." Than I clicked YES. Seconds later I received an ERROR message. Now I cannot setup any email account. The icon for email setup is not working!
When I try to setup my email on the 9900, I am given a "Email setup application is temporarily unavailable, please try again later" message. It has been doing this since I got the device.
I have been using Bold 9780 for a year now without a problem. Because I Changed my password for my email account (Gmail) yesterday, I needed to update it on my Bold also. But when I tried to access Email Account Management, I got a message "Unable to open email setup application. Contact your wireless service provider". I did, and they told me that the only remedy would be to clean install the operating system. As I would like to avoid this, I searched the web a bit, and found the advice to setup my email account online. I tried this, but got an error message saying that my device was not registered, although I did register it a few minutes earlier (Houst Routing Table -> Register now). I re-registered, reboothed the device - same error.
On June 10, I received a notification that there was a new update available to the Internet e-mail setup application. I can't access my em-mail settings without downloading the update. I downloaded the update, and, after rebooting, there was an error message saying the software couldn't be found! There was nothing on my phone besides a white screen with a long list of software file names. I couldn't go past this screen, make phone calls, text, or even power down without pulling the battery out! BB Tech Support was able to help me reinstall the operating system and restore evertyhing through the desktop software (sadly my last sync was 4 months ago so I lost all of my apps). To this day, it still prompts me to download the update when I try to access the E-mail Setup application. I don't remember what version the update was on June 10 but the version showing is 6.11.0419.0755. I need to access this application but I'm terrified to download the update.
I'm trying to setup my email but when I tried opening the Setup, there's no icon for email. So I tried to search the application, when it showed the email setup application, I clicked on it but there's no response.
I wiped my bb torch (unintentionally) and ended up deleting the email setup application. How do I download it onto my device so I can reactivate my email?
I seem to be having the same problem as others with the email setup application.
When I updated my Blackberry to the new OS6, I went to my email setup and it said "looking for updates" It finds a new update from my already installed email setup app 6.0.0 to the new 6.11.0419.0755.
When I click "download" it says replace existing version? I click "yes" The it says: "com.rim.bis.client" contains a different version of module "net_rim_bis_client" which is also used by email setup application. If you proceed, "email setup application" may cease to function properly. proceed?
If I click "yes proceed" it crashes my blackberry and it will not reboot and I have to do a complete hard reboot, wipe the device and reload everything from my backup on blackberry desktop.
If I click "no" not to proceed, I cannot open the email setup application.
I have tried downgrading to version 5 of the OS, I have rebooted with a battery pull, crashed my blackberry twice and spent hours reloading all my applications and systems. I am at the end of my rope, and I don't know what else to do?!
If there was a way to turn off the automatic search for updates on my device under the setup and email settings, i think I would be able to set it up in the older version 6.0.0
I'm here to report a huge bug. With the Email setup application update 6.11.0324.1701. I've tried to install it and my BB won't boot. At first I got a 606 error then I had the progress bar stuck full. I had to reinstall the OS and restore. If I refuse the update from the software I won't get access to the setup page. This update is here [URL] I've tried with 6.0.0.526 6.0.0.534 and 6.0.0.246 and the same issue with everyone. I've tried to load this one [URL] then the BB boot but when I try to go to the BIS setup nothing happens. So I guess this is a language problem or a corrupt update. Non english users DO NOT UPDATE!!
I bought a new BB 9780, i find that the mails are suddenly delted from my BB. I was asked to reload the software which was done at the service center & advised by the service center I got a new SIM Card.
I went to update the email setup application on my new 9330 and throughout the update, it prompted me several times with the message: ? is also used by "Email Setup Application." If you proceed "Email setup application" may cease to function properly. Proceed? I don't know what the ? preceding the beginning of the statement means. After I clicked on this several times throughout the update it finally updated and prompted for a restart. I restarted and the phone filled up the status bar and froze. Even after I removed and replaced the battery several times. I got the phone to unfreeze finally but I won't update the email installer again until this problem is worked out.
I am trying to setup the Dual Number option on the recently acquired Bold 9780. Whenever I am trying to ensure that call are diverted to the number in use, the message on the screen reads Divert failed. Please try again or change to "no divert" followed by Supplementary service error: Unexpected data value. Is the Dual Number option available on BB Bold 9780 ?
I recently updated to OS6. Since the update, I have been trying to add an email account to my BB but whenever I try to open the setup app, it advises to update Email Setup Application 6.11.0324.1701. There is a major bug in this update. When I click cancel, I cannot access the setup. When I click ok, the error "com.rim.bis.client" contains a different version of module "net_rim_bis_client" which is also used by "Email Setup Application". If you proceed, "Email Setup Application" may cease to function properly. Proceed? When I click no, the entire download is cancelled and I cant access the setup. When I click yes, the unit doesnt boot and I have to reload the OS.
I have a Bold 9780. Yesterday I accidently deleted 1 contact that had very important info in Notes section. Last back up was in Jan 2012 and have lots of info/contacts, etc on Blackberry so I would prefer to backup current to date; I just backed up a few minutes ago (so now have 2 backups saved on my desktop); however still need that contact with that info. Can I retrieve only that contact info anywhere, even if I just see it and write it out?
I have a BB bold 9780 and my text messages are being automatically deleted after a certain amount of time. I don't seem to have the option to set how long my device stores messages. i.e. options --> message display and action----> days to keep message
I have got a new one Bold 9780, the first time BlackBerry for me, when setting up the email I am not able to find the option "Internet mail account" but I have only the option "Enterprise account" possible?
My company BB Bold 9780 synchronises agenda's between MS Outlook and my device calendar. Some time ago an daily recurring Outlook calendar entry was deleted, but it still shows on my BB calendar. When I delete this recurring entry from my BB it comes back one day later. I therefore want to reset my calendar, but when I connect via BB Desktop Mgr it does not allow me to delete my calendar entries. I do not know what to do anymore and I find it rather frustrating to delete the entry every day or leave it in my BB calendar.
Hi, I'm new here! Tried to set a new e-mail on my Curve 9300 and get a message saying "Unable to open email setup application-contact your wireless service provider". Not sure what this is. do I contact Orange or BB?
I needed to setup a secondary email addy with RogersWireless yesterday and while I was there I got the bright idea to change my password for my primary account. This totally screwed my BB (no more email being received) sent me an email saying I needed to verify my password.tried to go into Setup to access my email settings..my BB freezes and I have to shut it down and re-start.Next bright idea...go to Messages Options then try to access email settings that way...message comes up and says "Unable to open email setup application. Contact your wireless service provider."Now I'm not saying I don't enjoy spending an afternoon chatting with Rogers but is there anyway to fix this without having to waste an afternoon?
I need some help setting up my Blackberry Bold 9000. I bought it off of Ebay and I have already wiped with memory. I need help setting up my email account and all of that stuff. When i try to set up a personal email address the only option I get is for setting up a Work email. This is what it says "I want to use a work email account with a BLackberry Enterprise Server"
I'm trying to set up my personal email on the 9700, but it seems that i have only one option, Blackberry Enterprise Server option. Is that suppose to be that way? I don't seem to have the " I want to create or add an email address" option.
Im using a Bold 9700, v5.0.0.442(Platforms 5.1.0.121) Carrier: M1(Singapore)
