When I try to setup my email on the 9900, I am given a "Email setup application is temporarily unavailable, please try again later" message. It has been doing this since I got the device.

The problem is that whenever i go to setup and click on email account and then Internet Mail Account nothing happened. It's not responding, and i can't do anything about my email, delate it, nor add new one.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAbout a month ago I had a severe system crash and had to re-install BB 7.1, once it was re-installed I used Blackberry Protect to get all my settings back. For some reason since then my phone will not send or recieve email even though it shows I have an email account set up on it. When I go to Setup and try to click on "Email Accounts" nothing happens MOST of the time. Sometimes I can get into the next screen but it won't let me open the BIS only the BES. I have searched and searched and used a few of the remedies I have seen on here and none of them have worked. I have the approriate data plan as email worked fine BEFORE the system crash, I have "registered" it and re-sent the data packs and everything else. I just can't get past the one screen to get INTO the settings. I have tried mobile.blackberry.com, chose Canada but there is NOTHING there to change any email settings.

My bold 9900 e-mail set up always automatically come up after leave it for a while or after unlock screen, I have all e-mail seup already. Also try remove all e-mail and setup again this problem still exist, very annoy.

Then now when I m trying to go in the option Email account management, a message appears which says: Unable to open email setup application. Contact your wireless service provider. My phone operator is vodaphone.nl and I have the data plan. I tried to deleted all the service books, tried to register it again, and also tried to wipe the blackberry. The result is the same, this application doesnt come back. Is there any way to reinstall this application?

But when I tried to access Email Account Management, I got a message "Unable to open email setup application. Contact your wireless service provider". I did, and they told me that the only remedy would be to clean install the operating system. As I would like to avoid this, I searched the web a bit, and found the advice to setup my email account online. I tried this, but got an error message saying that my device was not registered, although I did register it a few minutes earlier (Houst Routing Table -> Register now). I re-registered, reboothed the device - same error.

I can't access my em-mail settings without downloading the update. I downloaded the update, and, after rebooting, there was an error message saying the software couldn't be found! There was nothing on my phone besides a white screen with a long list of software file names. I couldn't go past this screen, make phone calls, text, or even power down without pulling the battery out! BB Tech Support was able to help me reinstall the operating system and restore evertyhing through the desktop software (sadly my last sync was 4 months ago so I lost all of my apps).To this day, it still prompts me to download the update when I try to access the E-mail Setup application. I don't remember what version the update was on June 10 but the version showing is 6.11.0419.0755. I need to access this application but I'm terrified to download the update.

Since I've starttd using my new phone no emails have come through and every time I went on email setup it keeps saying 'the email application is temporarily unavailable try again later'. So in the end I did a security wipe but did a back up before. After the security wipe I went to email setup and again it read the same unavailable message, I then went to back up my phone and I cant even do that now!

I seem to be having the same problem as others with the email setup application.
When I updated my Blackberry to the new OS6, I went to my email setup and it said "looking for updates" It finds a new update from my already installed email setup app 6.0.0 to the new 6.11.0419.0755.
When I click "download" it says replace existing version? I click "yes"
The it says: "com.rim.bis.client" contains a different version of module "net_rim_bis_client" which is also used by email setup application. If you proceed, "email setup application" may cease to function properly. proceed?
If I click "yes proceed" it crashes my blackberry and it will not reboot and I have to do a complete hard reboot, wipe the device and reload everything from my backup on blackberry desktop.
If I click "no" not to proceed, I cannot open the email setup application.
I have tried downgrading to version 5 of the OS, I have rebooted with a battery pull, crashed my blackberry twice and spent hours reloading all my applications and systems. I am at the end of my rope, and I don't know what else to do?!
If there was a way to turn off the automatic search for updates on my device under the setup and email settings, i think I would be able to set it up in the older version 6.0.0
I'm here to report a huge bug. With the Email setup application update 6.11.0324.1701. I've tried to install it and my BB won't boot. At first I got a 606 error then I had the progress bar stuck full. I had to reinstall the OS and restore. If I refuse the update from the software I won't get access to the setup page. This update is here [URL] I've tried with 6.0.0.526 6.0.0.534 and 6.0.0.246 and the same issue with everyone. I've tried to load this one [URL] then the BB boot but when I try to go to the BIS setup nothing happens. So I guess this is a language problem or a corrupt update. Non english users DO NOT UPDATE!!

After I clicked on this several times throughout the update it finally updated and prompted for a restart. I restarted and the phone filled up the status bar and froze. Even after I removed and replaced the battery several times. I got the phone to unfreeze finally but I won't update the email installer again until this problem is worked out.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHaving issues viewing web pages that are not setup for mobile applications. I figured out to change the font settings so I can reed print, but adjusting and readjusting the touch screen by pinching and zooming in is not practical, each time I click on a link, I lose the setting Ibrowsing just adjsusted, and I have to do this all over again. By doing this 9 times out of ten My phone goes to a ling I have no intrest in viewing, my BB curve was a lot better at browsing web pages than this model of phone.
1. Can I turn off the touch screen?
2. How I do adjust my browser settings so that pages load with having to zoom in or out?
3. Having issues with the phone locking up while texting and viewing web pages, the cell bar (strength ) freezes up at the same time as the phone, i suspect its the battery, but pulling it each time the phone locks up will leed to the phone flying, never to return.
4..Im tired of viewing the hour glass app as the phone decides if its going to worl or not, I have two weeks warenty left and ruuning a up to date black berry operating system.
