I need some help setting up my Blackberry Bold 9000. I bought it off of Ebay and I have already wiped with memory. I need help setting up my email account and all of that stuff. When i try to set up a personal email address the only option I get is for setting up a Work email. This is what it says "I want to use a work email account with a BLackberry Enterprise Server"

View 4 Replies View RelatedI want to setup email connection. On this 9360 I do not have any Connection Assistant so I use "setup" mode and "mail accounts" options. Usually (as on my previous Curve 8520) I used to have two options when entering there :
- Use my own email address (personal address) or create a new one
- Use my Enterprise email address
But when I launch Email setup on my curve 9360, I have only the Enterprise option so that I Cannot setup email! My 9360 runs under OS 7.
I'm trying to set up my personal email on the 9700, but it seems that i have only one option, Blackberry Enterprise Server option. Is that suppose to be that way? I don't seem to have the " I want to create or add an email address" option.
Im using a Bold 9700, v5.0.0.442(Platforms 5.1.0.121)

View 1 Replies View Relatedi just purchased a bold 9700 and i was trying to configure my personal email accounts. however, under settings -> setup wizard-> email setup, i only have the option to use "i want to use a work email account with a blackberry enterprise server", and nothing else. i viewed setting up personal email Internet video and from the user menu, there seems to be a possibility to select "personal email" setup where gmail and hotmail can be configured.

My main reason to buy this phone was to be able to browse the internet and check my email in wireless hotspots ( I am a student so wireless internet is openly available at the university). However, under email setup the only option available to me is the Blackberry Enterprise server, I apparently should have a 'personal email setup' but it is not available. I did a lot of research on the internet and this forum but could not find a solution to my problem. I would be very grateful if someone can provide me with some answers. I also contacted the person whom I bought the phone from and apparently he does not have the answers either. Tried calling Fido and they did not offer any support as the phone one was not bought from them.

I had two email icons on my home page - one for corporate and the other for gmail. The emails were kept separate. After I installed the Gmail Enhanced App, my gmail started to sync into my corporate acct. I uninstalled botgh the enhanced app and the gmail account. When I went to reinstall gmail from the BB device, it resumed syncing into the corporate account.How can I keep these two accts separate?

I have setup a Gmail account on my phone using POP3 and I see that my personal emails from Gmail are delivered to my Gmail inbox.
My company offers a BES server and last week they set me up so all my work email which is setup on Exchange is pushed to my phone.At this point, I have 2 accounts setup on my phone: a personal gmail account and a work exchange account.
Can my personal emails be seen by my company knowing that one uses POP3 and is delivered to its own mailbox and the other is setup on a BES account?I have disabled my contacts from being uploaded/synced with my work but I need to know if our IT can see my personal email. If so, how can I disable it?I want to say no, they can't but I am not 100%.
When i try to set up my email it only gives me the enterprise setup? i want to register 2 hotmail email adresses but i only have wifi access i do not have BB unlimited internet.

When i first went through the setup wizard i had the two options one for the enterprise and the other for personal use. I did not fill in my details so i left it at that moment to check out the other features on the phone. But the second time i came round to it, it only gave me the enterprise option which i dont want. Just wondering how i can get that option back. Also i cannot seem to be able to get blackberry apps or windows live messenger, although my blackberry messenger is working fine. please can someone help me with this?

The phone works and sms works.Anyways my issue is this, I am using it for personal use, but cannot send/receive pin messages, my bbm doesn't send/receive invites, and it won't let me setup a personal email.When I click on setup/email the only option available is to add an enterprise email and asks for the enterprise password.Any ideas as to why this is happening or ways around this so I can use my bbm and setup my personal emails to automatically send to my phone like I had before? Mine still works perfect. Any ideas on what needs to be done to get her email set back up and bbm working again ?

I have added my personal Yahoo email to it and I now have 2 mail icons - one for Messages and the other for Yahoo.When I get an email on my yahoo email address it also appears in my main messages email box as well. I want to keep the 2 sets of emails separate so that it is 100% clear what is business and what is personal (Yahoo).I know it must be possible to keep them in separate mailboxes but cannot for the life of me work out how.

I recently received a hand-me-down Bold 9000 from a colleague and I've just connected it with Vodafone.However that's when I discovered one huge problem - it doesn't have an option to set up anything but Enterprise email, and I just have regular pop and internet mail accounts. The wizard only comes up with the "BlackBerry Enterprise Server" option.I've tried registering with the Host Routing Table but that doesn't help matters.I've also installed the Desktop software and tried updating its software to no effect. View 5 Replies View RelatedI bought my first BlackBerry (Curve 3G 9300) on Friday and tried to setup a personal email account on the phone via the setup wizard earlier today.The phone said that an update to 6.11...... was needed in order to do this. I let it update, now the phone is just hanging after starting up. If I do a start up after removing the battery it comes up with a black screen with the BlackBerry logo and a progress bar below it. The progress bar moves along until the end, this takes around a minute. It then shows something like a little clock over the logo for about a second. Once this disappears the phone says with the logo and the completed progress bar - and just hangs there.

I have recently done a device switch to my new BB and two email accounts were part of the switch transfer.
One works fine, however my gmail acount has not been receiving messages. When I go into setup email I constantly get 'Cannot connect to server' and then it exits back to the setup menu. This means I cannot edit any email profile I have. Removing the battery and restarting has no effect.
Any way to delete the offending email account and re-add or getting it working.

I have got myself a blackberry and have been told by t-mobile UK that I am on a BIS account plan. I have set up my gmail email and emails come through nearly instantly. With my work emails I am not getting them instantly. Work does have a BES server and can give me a password to access their server but T-Mobile are using my webmail URL to connect me to the emails.
1) is this correct
2) Can we get rid of the time lag/delay in receiving emails from my work email address so it is more instant?

It just asks me the passwords for my existing emails but when I enter my passwords, nothing happens. It asks me to log in again. I can't set up new emails on this phone. I've updated to the OS 6 and now I cannot setup my email accounts. Can't add or delete any account. View 7 Replies View Relatedmy company changed their web email, it used to be http://owa.XXX.XX.XX/exchange which used to work fine for me, as I used to set up my email for blackberry using it. on my home computer, in order to access it using Microsoft outlook or any other Email software, I have to be logged in VPN before using the software to check my emails, thus the POP3 and SMTP will only work if VPN is connected.
now they changed the web email to : https://owa.XXX.XX.XX/owa which if you notice, starts with https, my problem is, blackberry is not accepting it. VPN I have a profile on my computer i am not sure how i can import it, and I am travelling tomorrow and the Staff Support in our company is closed for the weekend, anyone have a solution for this will be really really helping me a lot,
