BB Bold 9000 :: Https Email Or VPN For Work
my company changed their web email, it used to be http://owa.XXX.XX.XX/exchange which used to work fine for me, as I used to set up my email for blackberry using it. on my home computer, in order to access it using Microsoft outlook or any other Email software, I have to be logged in VPN before using the software to check my emails, thus the POP3 and SMTP will only work if VPN is connected.
now they changed the web email to : https://owa.XXX.XX.XX/owa which if you notice, starts with https, my problem is, blackberry is not accepting it. VPN I have a profile on my computer i am not sure how i can import it, and I am travelling tomorrow and the Staff Support in our company is closed for the weekend, anyone have a solution for this will be really really helping me a lot,

Motorola :: Q9H Corporate Email Set Up / Phone Work With HTTPs?
I have had my Q for a couple of months now and have had my corporate email set up through my active sync. The emails and sync happened over the air and worked well. I believe this is also called MS Direct Push. Last week our comapny switched to a HTTPs server link and now I get errors trying to sync to it. I have set it up to use a secure Socket Layer and then it told me the certificate was incorrect. My IS guys installed a new certificate for the server and it still gives me an error code of 0x85010014. Which I am told is a temporary error and try again later. It has now been a week with no email and I continue to receive the error code. It just tells me there was an error syncing. I have uninstalled the active sync link on my phone and reinstalled my email account but I still get the error. When I went to the AT&T help thing it gave me active sync email or something which tells you to set it up with HTTPS but I don't have that ability with this phone. Using the info for MS Direct Push tells me to set it up exactly as I have. I also can connect to the internet without any troubles. I have server address, SSL (Yes/No), User name, password, & domain. Then what do I want to sync. Under the advanced options it is set to internet but can't be set to anything else. Does this phone work with HTTPs mail or not? If so how do I fix it? Please help!

I have 2 email accounts on my 8320: one is a vpn for work and the other is gmail for personal and to take oversized files that my work server can't handle. i have successfully set up botht of the email accounts and am receiving messages. the problem is that i am receiving personal gmail messages into my work account. i have tried deleting the gmail account and readdding it, but the same thing happens each time.

I want to switch to Bold from iPhone 3GS, and I have many questions. I was a long time iPhone user (since 2G :-), but I am a little bit tired with it. My questions are really practical - everything that I use: 1. Can I configure VPN on Bold and will it be able to handle Mail/Web through it and is it possible to configure exactly which traffic should be handled through VPN and which shouldn't be? 2. Is there Jabber/Gtalk client for Bold which will work in "background"? 3. How is battery life if you are using phone really for a lot of email/messaging/browsing? Basically it's my workforce :-) 4. How is browsing experience? Anybody coming from the iPhone -- can somebody compare? I do not need Flash or something, but reasonable good browsing I would like to have. 5. Emails - is there support for HTML emails already? Is there support for IMAP? Multiple IMAPs? 6. General reliability -- any know issues with that when heavy using it? 7. Fancy stuff - photos - can I make photo and email it easily? Email a bunch of photos in one email? 8. Music - I have a Mac laptop, can I sync music with iTunes or what is the way to do it? 9. I have my Calendar and Contacts with Google Apps, but I believe they do have support for Blackberries over-the-air sync, right?

Ive been at this for about a week trying to get VPN to work! There is seriously not a whole lot of documentation that explains how to setup a VPN connection on a BlackBerry Bold.Please if anyone has managed to make this work. I would like some help. First off I connect to my home Wifi and that works just fine.In the VPN options I created the following profile Name: work Gateway type: Cisco VPN Concentrator 3000 (is what we have at work) For the Concentrator IP, Group Name/Password, Username/Password, I used the same info that I use to connect to the VPN from my Windows PC. I put nothing for the network info (ip, dns, domain etc..) because they should be obtained automatically Now for the part that Im not sure what Im suppose to put I left everything to default IKE DH Group: Group 1 IKE cipher: DES (56-but key) IKE HASH: HMAC MD5 (128-bits) Perfect forward Secrecy: (dont know what this is so left unchecked) IPSec crypto and hash suite: NONE-MD5 Nat timeout: 1min I use RSA SecurID token so I assumed that I had to check "Use hard token" and finally Disable VPN Banner: unchecked Every time I try to login, no matter what I change I always get VPN State: Profile is missing or not specified....

BB Bold 9000 :: Linking My Outlook Work Email To Gmail Then Sync To Bold
First post. I have a bit of a dilemma. I have a bold on a relatively new contract that I kept from my previous job.My current employer doesn't have blackberry's and they have a pretty strict security setting that prevents me from adding my work address to my BB via the BIS.I've read that there's a really nifty gmail work around where you can set your outlook to forward messages to gmail then set gmail to send from your work address via a sync.There are threads but I don't quite understand. Could someone step me through the process, starting with how I set my outlook to forward all messages to gmail through to the gmail sync process?

I currently receive my work emails re-directed (not forwarded) to my BB Bold via a gmail account. My work uses MS Outlook 2003 SP3 - we also have a web-access via Outlook Web Access (OWA). Only problem is if I want to reply to them I have to reply via my gmail account and also I can only reply to the 'sender only' and 'reply all' not an option (unless I manually input addresses of others). If I go to my IT Dept they need to set me up through the BES which is a pain (only allow work email accounts, no personal ones, they control the data package etc) and hence I don't want to do this. A colleague recently set up his iPhone to have his work emails pushed to him via MS Exchange. All works well apparently - all he needed was the server name, domain name, user name and password (all of which I have). I tried to do the same via my BB but couldnt find anywhere to input the info. I'm in HK and use CSL 1010 which has a web-based interface to set up email accounts. On my BB if I go to Setup / Email Setup it logs onto the CSL 1010 website via the Broweser. I have several email already set up eg. home one and gmail (I use just to forward work emails to my BB). How I can set up an email based on just inputting server name, domain name, user name and password?

I'm setting up my work email on my Bold for the first time. I set up my Gmail and Hotmail on my Bold with no problems, so I'd figure it'd be the same for the my work. I never realized that I don't have a password for my work - or maybe I do, but I don't know what it is. haha. I just turn my work computer on, open up and Outlook and voila. So where do I find out my password? And how do I find out my work POP3 information?

my blackberry.att.net email address has always worked, but just recently I decided to put my gmail accounts on my device.I added my secondary, lower volume account first with no problem. Then I added my main gmail account, with no problem.However, when my main account receives an email, it won't go to my device. My secondary gmail account gets email perfectly on my phone, just not my main one.They were both setup the same way, I don't see what's wrong. Anyone have any ideas?

BB Bold 9000 :: No Email - But Outlook Address Book & Calendar Work
I recently tried to do the wireless enterprise activation upon receiving a password from my company. It never worked. Finally I used Device Manager 4.7 to sync up my laptop and my bold and everything seemed to go fine. My Outlook calendar, tasks, and address book all sync'd just fine. However email isn't working. I can't send or receive emails on the blackberry. I should say that my email address has an aprostrophe in it which could be the culprit. I just dont understand why the address book, etc syncs when email won't work. I've confirmed that my account is on our corporate BES server. I've also confirmed that my plan thru AT&T allows BES, not just BIS.

I keep getting an error stating; "Unable to add account. Please check your information and try again."Now, I'm not sure what my Mailbox name is.I was told to log in on my computer's browser to my work email via Outlook Web Access and put the cursor over the inbox to read the name on the bottom of the screen.This is all it reads: "https://webmail.(companyname).com/owa/#. Setup the vpn connection using cisco ipsec.I have all the same info from my laptop in there server account password groupname and group password when connection it says starting...then it comes up with a popup that says VPN connection, Enter your user authentication. You get a cancel option or OK. I click OK and it still says starting then after about 15-20 secs I get an error saying " Negotation with VPN server failed."I have tried in the config part enter in my pass and leave it blank as well with no luck

I access my emails from work thru a VPN. I purchased a Curve 8520 cause I understood I could receive my emails on my smartphone. I set up my personal emails, which are working fine. But, I can't figure out how to set up my VPN settings for an email account on the 8520. Co-workers who have other smartphones(not Berries) and connect.

The new problem is that I'm not getting email today. I am getting EDGE connection only and was able to access the Internet but tested an email in and out and it didn't deliver either way. Last email that came in was around 2:10 a.m., almost nine hours ago. Is this an AT&T matter or something going on with the BB? Old problems: I have a yellow globe type icon with the number "2" in front to the right of the email indicator. What is this? How do I access it and delete it? Also email indicator shows "1" new message even when there are no new messages.

I'm on Vodafone in Ireland.My Bold won't work with my old Nokia 616 car kit, so I got a brand new Nokia one, and it doesn't work with that either.With the new one, all seems to work OK, the devices pair, then the kit says 'Phone Connected' 'phone disconnected' and that's that. Same as the old one. Nor does it work with either of my Garmin sat navs. Behaves the same way, although my old Blackberry 8300 worked fine (well, wouldn't copy contacts).The local Vodafone shop say they know this, and are recommended to only sell BT car kits made by 'Bury' (never heard of them), one they have is a stand alone one, which I don't want, and the other is an integrated one for 199 Euro which you can't install yourself, an 'expert' has to supply and fit it. Last time an 'expert' fitted a car kit to my girlfriend's car he made a right mess of it.This is bad news.Is there ANYONE on this board who is successfully using a Bold with any form of integrated Bluetooth car kit please? Or is there any solution from RIM to this obvious problem?I love the Bold, but this is really annoying me. The police here are very hot on catching people holding phones while driving, and I can't deal with the wired earpiece while driving.

BB (RIM) :: Restored New Bold From An Old BOLD - Email Doesnt Work
I got a warranty replacement devise in the mail on my bold, so i upgraded the OS back to .266 then i did a "devise switch" using the Blackberry Desktop Manager, and EVERYTHING went perfect copied all my emails/texts/apps settings ect ect, but my EMAIL doesnt SEND or recieve! I dont knwo where the options are for email. when i go to click on email it says my email address yet when i try to send out an email i get the following error: Sent using: "myemailaddress" Folder: Outbox Message Status: Transaction Error -failure at service And one know how to fix this ? or why this is happening? do i have to reset something on the server at ATT's or blackberrys website cuz its a different PIN/Device now? since my email is tied w/ facebook i dont get facebook notifications so i guess when this is fixed the facebook app will fix too?

BB Bold 9000 :: Some Keys Dont Work Right With BOLD Keyboard
my bold got wet with the rain while i ran to my car, now some keys dont work right, the call button acts as if i pressed the L key, pressing the ball acts as an m, and so forth, it scrolls fine, and most of the keys are fine. what can I do? any help? Am I screwed of can this be fixed, i took it to the att store n they said there's no water damage. tried the rice thing already n nothing, seems pretty dry already.

BB Bold 9000 :: Unlocked Rogers Bold Work On Verizon
I do not know if this topic has been covered already (because of the thousands of posts) but nonetheless; I was checking out Rogers version of the Bold and was wondering if it would work on the Verizon Network. I know that Verizon is Dual band CDMA 800/1900MHz and the Rogers Bold is Tri-Band 850/1900/2100MHz. Will an unlocked version work on Verizon or do you need both bands for the phone to fully work? I recently purchased the BB Storm and hated how much it slowed me down (I am back on my 8330). I would love a BB Storm with all it's speed and slickness.

BB Bold 9000 :: Missing Email Icons / List Of Emails With Email Address
I finally got around to calling ATT and getting my username and password so I could check the BIS email settings. I went to the site, validated the email addresses and all I changed was my password. A few minutes ago I checked my phone and noticed the icons for 2 of my 3 email addresses were gone, and the only one left was the default address for the phone. I would love to have them back. Another question remotely related is the fact that when I get a message from Blackberry Messenger there is no indication on the general messages folder. Is there a setting I need to change? I could see using that folder if there was some sort of indication. Also, when checking messages in the messages folder is there a way to have it list the email addressed received on when looking at the list of emails?

BB Bold 9000 :: Updating BIS Email Details Says Email Password Is Incorrect
Following the recent email phishsing scare, I decided to change my googlemail password. As a result, I recieved an automatic email from my service provider (Orange) to update my password on my BIS before I can start recieving my gmails to my BB again. When I have gone to change and validate my new password, I keep getting a message saying that my email or password is incorrect, which I know not to be the case (i have checked a hundred times.) I have even tried deleting the account on my BIS and then setting it up again, but I keep getting the same result, even when I try to do this from my PC or my BB. As such, I am unable to recieve my gmails to my BB and I am getting rather annoyed. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? If so, what is causing the issue and how would I go about rectifiying this?
