View 1 RepliesI'm running 5.0.0.314 with Blackberry messenger 5.0.0.57.First of all, when i try and backup my blackberry messenger contacts it says it will send a confirmation email to my email address, but it just stays pending forever. I never recieve the email. (not in junk or deleted) I am however able to recieve emails on my blackberry device whenever my email account does recieve an email.Secondly everyone on my blackberry messenger list doesnt show their display pictures nor does display picture changes on the other end of my contacts.Anyone know how I can fix this or is this an issue?

Please could someone help me! I had a new Blackerry Torch and I registered the wrong email address which i dont hae a password for and now it wont let me add a new email address. How do i register a new email address so i can start getting emails sent to my phone!
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Bold 9000, bought new and unlocked about 3 years ago. It was working fine with all services like BBM and push email working flawlessly on Idea Cellular. While out of town, my Bold 9000 seemed to run out of battery and wouldn't turn on even after attempting to charge it. It would continue to flash 11110000, where 1 indicates a flash of red LED and 0 meaning LED off. Once home, I had to reload the OS on the device. I have the latest OS5 running of the system. And since the device was security wiped, the settings were set to the defaults. But the handset fails to register and instead of 'EDGE' it shows 'edge' or sometimes 'GSM'. I am however, able to make phone calls and send/receive text messages. So far I have tried the following: 1. Hard reset the device numerous times and after every change of settings, leaving the battery out for 2-10 minutes 2. Ensured that the firewall is off 3. Send registration message from Host Routing Table, which is empty 4. Manually set the APN to 'blackberry.net' in TCP/IP 5. Enabled Data, Data roaming and network is 2G only. I have called up Idea customer care and they ensure that my services are working fine and asked me to only perform the steps listed above. This was confirmed by using my Idea sim card on a friend's Torch 9800. Her handset is successfully registered using my sim card and can use BB services. I tried her Airtel sim card and my Bold still failed to register on that network.

What can I do to get all of my service books and get my email again.Or how can I re-register my hotmail and yahoo mail back into my blackberry?
My phone was recently wiped and ever since then,I haven't been able to register my email accounts.

The message error says: no reply from company server The IT team, cancelled the account and re-create a new one with password and I still have same problem.The opertaor Maroc Telecom couldn't help me; they say I need to provide the password of the company's server; information I can't provide?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have been using Bold 9780 for a year now without a problem. Because I Changed my password for my email account (Gmail) yesterday, I needed to update it on my Bold also. But when I tried to access Email Account Management, I got a message "Unable to open email setup application. Contact your wireless service provider". I did, and they told me that the only remedy would be to clean install the operating system. As I would like to avoid this, I searched the web a bit, and found the advice to setup my email account online. I tried this, but got an error message saying that my device was not registered, although I did register it a few minutes earlier (Houst Routing Table -> Register now). I re-registered, reboothed the device - same error.

All went well, except when I open up the Desktop Manager to sync my calendar and address book, DM gives me the following error message: The default service for your device's "address book" is no longer available. The new service for synchronization is "blahblah@wrongemail.com"
I have five email addresses linked to my Bold (yahoo, gmail, live, etc) and I want it to sync with my work address book and calendar (not blahblah@wrongemail.com). It had no problem doing this before the wipe...
I have gone in to options/advanced options/default services and changed both options (CICAL and CMIME) to my work email address, but I still get the error message. I even went so far as to delete all five email addresses and start adding them from scratch...making sure that I added my work email address first...figuring that may set it as default.
I'm trying to set up my personal email on the 9700, but it seems that i have only one option, Blackberry Enterprise Server option. Is that suppose to be that way? I don't seem to have the " I want to create or add an email address" option.

I need some help setting up my Blackberry Bold 9000. I bought it off of Ebay and I have already wiped with memory. I need help setting up my email account and all of that stuff. When i try to set up a personal email address the only option I get is for setting up a Work email. This is what it says "I want to use a work email account with a BLackberry Enterprise Server"
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just got a refurbished Bold after dropping my original one too many times...Now whenever I get an email on my Yahoo! account, I also get a text message from some random number with "Mobile EmailOZMAIL ########" in it, and I have no idea why.
Current OS is 4.6.0.304, I'm on AT&T.
Just found that there is no longer an option to reply using a different email address on the 9700. On the 8900, after you press reply, the top line says "send using" and you can click on that to choose which email to reply it with. Anyone know how to solve this issue?

Recently ported my number from AT&T to Sprint for Evo 4G. I never called AT&T ahead of time, or even told them I was canceling. Guy at Best Buy just took care of all of it when he ported number.I wanted to sell my Bold, but a day after I switched, I realized my gmail account is still on my BIS. So when I do a full reset to to sell the phone, my gmail account is still probably linked to it. I tried going into the email setup to remove it, but it says it needs a radio to do so, and I can't do that since my AT&T account is closed.Is my gmail still linked to my BIS even after my AT&T account is closed? Do I need to call them to remove it? I don't fully understand how BIS works so that is why I am asking here.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have 2 email accounts set up on my bold.. Now just last night i noticed that on one of the emails, if i send an email from this specific account, it doesn't come up with the message i sent with the tick next to it.
In my 2nd account it works fine.I have re-sent the service books etc. I have checked all the options in the email settings and they are all the same.
Hoping someone might be able to help me. I recently received a hand-me-down Bold 9000 from a colleague and I've just connected it with Vodafone.However that's when I discovered one huge problem - it doesn't have an option to set up anything but Enterprise email, and I just have regular pop and internet mail accounts. The wizard only comes up with the "BlackBerry Enterprise Server" option.I've tried registering with the Host Routing Table but that doesn't help matters.I've also installed the Desktop software and tried updating its software to no effect. Anyone have another idea of what I can do to get email on my email-centric smartphone? It's killing me!
