I can't remove my email account on my Bold 9780. I have read through a few discussions but can't find anything that works. "Options" has no option for disabling any account.
View 2 RepliesI connected my Bold9780 to my PC and I was told there was a device upgrade and that it would take some time. I set it off and my computer crashed (power cut). At first all seemed ok, the upgrade seems to have been successfully installed. However I cannot send or receive emails now. I have tried to reconcile and nothing at all happens. If I try to access my email via settings I just get a message saying "Your device has a problem connecting to the internet" and I'm offered RETRY or CANCEL I've retried loads of times without success. The phone and texting work fine but I cannot access any apps either as it just says "server can not be found"
View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to the Tour from the 8830 at work. My IT dept transfered all my information and there is a gmail email account icon, but the account doesn't work. I set it up again in the Email Setup section, but its not working. I removed what I did and the gmail icon is still there, but doesn't work. Can anyone help? My IT dept rep is an absolute ***** and has done nothing to help me with this problem besides telling me "well, I guess you just can't use Gmail on this phone", which is absurd since I could use it on the old one, so I know BB supports it.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI use a Bold 9780 and have T-Mobile US as a provider. From my Gmail account I get mail sent twice, once from Gmail and once from Unknown. Checked with T-Mobile but did not get a satisfactory response. Ideally, I would like to do away with the extra copy.

I can't even exit the app. I have to remove the battery to be able to use the device again. This has been a long standing problem with this device. I was hoping to resolve it by reloading everything but there has been no improvement.How do I repair or replace the Email Accounts app?

Have set up BIS, but whenever I have tried to set up any of my email accounts it just keeps coming up with error - unable to connect to server, then user name and password must be incorrect, check your server. All user names and passwords correct. Have gone through the cold reboot - Registered the Blackberry, removed the Service Books and tried to reinstate the accounts and it keeps coming up with the same error.

When I click on "Email Accounts" in the setup, sometimes it brings me to the next step and sometimes nothing happens. In the case it bring me to the next step, when I click on "Internet Mail Account" it brings me back to the previous step. I have already contacted my provider and removed the battery several times but nothing changed.

I have a full 4G internet plan on my phone and when I tried to setup my email for the first time, I was unable to access the option on my phone. Everytime I selected "setup internet mail account" , nothing happened. It was like the option didn't exist.Upon calling my service provider, I was informed that someone had my phone before and had their plan on it and it somehow blocked my ability to setup or change the previous email options and that it can only be accessed if I get the email address of the previous user, which is impossible because I bought it thinking it was new without any previous records. I tried everything! Factory restore etc! Nothing works because the option is somehow disabled. Is it possible to somehow rectify this situation? There must be some history attached to the PIN of this phone.

When I try moving my old email account it says to put my email password in. I put the right password in and when I press activate it says 'Sorry, unable to continue your session. View 1 Replies View RelatedAn old gmail account shows up on my Torch 9800 in Setup-->Email Accounts as an Enterprise Account. It also appears as an Enterprise Activation icon on my Torch screen. Finally, it appears on Contacts-->Select Contact List. This gmail account was once on my Torch as an Internet Mail Account, but I deleted the account (from gmail and from the Torch). It no longer exists as far as Google is concerned. It never was and never should never have been an Enterprise Account, and I don't know how it became one. How can I completely wipe this gmail account from my Torch?

I have 2 email accounts that I use 2 different icons to access. in Gmail app, i can have both email addresses appear, I added 2nd email address, but don't like the way it works, and want to go back to how I had it before, but I am unable to delete the 2nd email address within Gmail. They say from Gmail, go into Settings, Accounts and Import, Check mail from other accounts, and delete the one I want to remove. I don't have the Accounts and import option. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently synchronised my old Blackberry curve with my new Blackberry torch and unfortunately an old defunct email account has been transferred across - there was no way of removing this prior to the transfer.I have created a new email account and receive emails to this address, however, when I try to send an email, I have the option of chosing which account I use to send this from. I can cope with this, but what I cannot do is forward a received email onto someone else as my phone just appears to automatically select the old email address as the default one and I no longer have this email account. I cannot remove this from my phone as when I have tried to "delete an email address" the old address is not shown anywhere no matter where I have looked.

I deleted my login and password for my email account on my phone; I deleted the CIMIME from the Service Book and deleted something called BIS 5 from somewhere. I'm still getting emails on my phone.
