I'm about to update my 9700 software from .545 to the most current one. My BB is activated on my company's BES server. Will I need to re-activate BES services after the software upgrade or does the activation remain when I back up my device during the upgrade process ?

The phone is working but I am unable to make a new account for BB services using my PIN and IMEI. Can you guide me as to how the PIN and IMEI can now be reassigned to me.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just received as a gift for my birthday a BlackBerry Bold 9900 . I previously owned a Blackberry Bold 9000. Now I can't activate the blackberry services on the new phone. I have followed all the steps (used the desktop app to transfer the data from the old phone to the new one), moved the SIM card but I still can't set up the email or use BBM.I spoke to the service provider here in Romania (orange) and did everything they said (to go to blackberry. orange.com and change the model of the phone, to go to Host Routing Table and use the Register Now tool) but I didn't manage to solve the problem. If I insert the SIM card into the old phone everything works perfect.Also when I try to create a new account for the new phone on url... using the PIN and IMEI from the new phone I get the message - "Cannot create account: Your BlackBerry® Internet Service Account is suspended or deactivated"

Also using blackberry desktop software I tried to restore backup from my old phone to the new one but it has not updated my bbm. The previous bbm contacts are there but I cant send a message to anyone. Do I need to add all of them again?

When I try moving my old email account it says to put my email password in. I put the right password in and when I press activate it says 'Sorry, unable to continue your session. Please log in again.' I have tried logging in again multiple times but it still doesn't work, what shall I do???
View 4 Replies View Relatedi am currently at outside of my country and i was using BBM and other softwares over wifi without any problems and i upgraded my OS to latest (593) and than i can access only internet browsing. BBM - facebook - twitter doesnt connects to the internet.
whats wrong with it? my data services are only wifi because of high charges of gprs while i am outside of my country and it has no problem before upgrading.
Network Name is on home screen + Wi-Fi indicator is dimmed.User Manual reads:Your device is connected to Wi-Fi network but does not have access to BlackBerry services over the Wi-Fi connection.After several hours perhaps overnight the Wi-Fi indicator comes on and then I HAVE "BLACKBERRY SERVICES". until the next time I leave the house and drive down the road.
My point iswhy should I have to wait an indeterminate length of time before I can use Wi-Fi internet services? From the time my Wi-Fi network name appears on the screen I should be able to access internet via Wi-Fi.what gives? How can I overcome this indeterminate waiting for the system to gain acces to "BlackBerry services" over Wi-Fi.
I connected my BlackBerry with the wireless router it says that it's connected, but there is a dash and I can't activate the Internet nor getting mails.
It is very strange as it worked till 24 hours ago. by the way, I'm using a portable PC with wifi connection which works very well.
I wanted to disable all data on the bb 9700 (OS 5.545?) and only use it as a phone/SMS.Question is i went into mobile network and i set Data Services to OFF.But i also read online that if its GSM it should change from EDGE to edge, and 3G to 3g.Well anyways on this phone its still saying 3G even tho data is OFF.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am using a blackberry bold 9700 V5.0.0.862. My phone is unlocked and I am using it on the Fido network. I was away for 5 weeks, and while away I used a simcard from that country in my phone. When I got back to Canada, I put in my fido sim card and the internet was not working. I called Fido and they did a reset on my phone and still no data.
The tech did some trouble shooting as well as gave me the Fido APN info, I did the host routing table reset and still nothing. I have no idea what the problem could be but Fido has told me there is nothing else that they can do, as I am using an unlocked device. I cannot connect to the internet, my BBM does not work, and I am not receieving emails. I can make phone calls and send texts. I have pulled the battery out many times. My phone says 3G.I don't know if some of the setting on my phone locked from using the international sim, if my sim is corrupted, or if I need a new phone.
how to unlock bb9700? I came across an app here for $10 and by installing it provided a code and thats about it. Just wondering if i do UNLOCK will that affect my current services or anything? i am on Telus (GSM)

Indeed, as a phone, it is not locked, and I can do all phone functionality. However the following functions are not available and I wonder how to fix it: When I try to set email accounts, it only lets me the option to set enterprise server based email accounts; it does not let me the option to set Internet based personal accounts as appear in the manual I am also unable to use the device over WIFI networks; I can register them, connect and set them, but the actual browsing over the connection is not possible.

When trying to Upgrade to Os 6 on my Bold 9700. @ the last part it gives me a messages "No actions are required." and does not upgrade my phone. My original carrier was At&t now I'm living in Colombia so I unlocked my phone and I currently have it with Movistar.. HELP!!! Please.. I tried re doing this upgrade 4 times already and same result.

Twitter, Facebook, and the Browser do not work, saying that I am unconnected to wifi, when I do have a connection. To solve this problem, I have been turning off the phone, and then pulling out the battery. This seems to work, it just seems tedious to keep doing so.Then I thought maybe I should upgrade the operating system. I can't seem to find this on the BB desktop manager.

Whats the best build out for tmo? I wanted to put .405 att official on but I read a bunch of posts saying to stay away from that unless you are AT&T...I am not really sure why, I never heard of carrier specific builds...RIM makes the build and carriers call them official if they pass their tests.I do not want bugs...Im over that...gone through trying every single new build on my 9000, lololol.I want one with the best battery life possible and everything working.

I am currently using ver. 4.7 but i do want to see what the new version 5.0 is like. when i click on the messenger i con i get the 'Updat Available:Get Link/Copy Link/cancel options. What im wondering is if i upgrade this way will it install a fresh install or will it simply add on to the existing version, i guess the concern here is if it will delete my contacts as well or will it preserve all my contacts. But This morning i find that everytime i go into BB Messenger I get a box that says 'Upgrade available' I click on the 'get link' box and go to the page it takes me to on explorer. There is a big grey button on the screen that say 'Download' but I can't click on it....... I hold the arow over it and click and nothing happens, I've tried zooming in and i've tried pressing enter.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe trackpad on my Bold 9700 stopped working last night. It scrolled but would not register being pressed. Followign advice elsewhere on this site, I downloaded the desktop manager and backed up the device, then installed a new operating system (version 6).
Now nothing on the BB is working. It is stuck on the terms and conditions screen that starts "This handheld device includes software that it proprietary and confidential to Research In Motion Limited. . ." I can see there is a blue arrow at the bottom, implying I need to scroll down and accept the terms and conditions, but as none of the keyboard is responding, I can't do this.
