I'm about to update my 9700 software from .545 to the most current one. My BB is activated on my company's BES server. Will I need to re-activate BES services after the software upgrade or does the activation remain when I back up my device during the upgrade process ?

I have recently purchased a used Blackberry Bold 9700 which was previous used on a Vodafone network in the UK. No I want to use it with Warid in Pakistan. The phone is working but I am unable to make a new account for BB services using my PIN and IMEI. Can you guide me as to how the PIN and IMEI can now be reassigned to me.

I have followed all the steps (used the desktop app to transfer the data from the old phone to the new one), moved the SIM card but I still can't set up the email or use BBM.I spoke to the service provider here in Romania (orange) and did everything they said (to go to blackberry. orange.com and change the model of the phone, to go to Host Routing Table and use the Register Now tool) but I didn't manage to solve the problem. If I insert the SIM card into the old phone everything works perfect.Also when I try to create a new account for the new phone on url... using the PIN and IMEI from the new phone I get the message - "Cannot create account: Your BlackBerry® Internet Service Account is suspended or deactivated"

Also using blackberry desktop software I tried to restore backup from my old phone to the new one but it has not updated my bbm. The previous bbm contacts are there but I cant send a message to anyone. Do I need to add all of them again?

When I try moving my old email account it says to put my email password in. I put the right password in and when I press activate it says 'Sorry, unable to continue your session. My point iswhy should I have to wait an indeterminate length of time before I can use Wi-Fi internet services? From the time my Wi-Fi network name appears on the screen I should be able to access internet via Wi-Fi.what gives? I connected my BlackBerry with the wireless router it says that it's connected, but there is a dash and I can't activate the Internet nor getting mails.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am using a blackberry bold 9700 V5.0.0.862. My phone is unlocked and I am using it on the Fido network. I was away for 5 weeks, and while away I used a simcard from that country in my phone. When I got back to Canada, I put in my fido sim card and the internet was not working. I called Fido and they did a reset on my phone and still no data.
The tech did some trouble shooting as well as gave me the Fido APN info, I did the host routing table reset and still nothing. I have no idea what the problem could be but Fido has told me there is nothing else that they can do, as I am using an unlocked device. I cannot connect to the internet, my BBM does not work, and I am not receieving emails. I can make phone calls and send texts. I have pulled the battery out many times. My phone says 3G.I don't know if some of the setting on my phone locked from using the international sim, if my sim is corrupted, or if I need a new phone.
how to unlock bb9700? I came across an app here for $10 and by installing it provided a code and thats about it. Just wondering if i do UNLOCK will that affect my current services or anything? i am on Telus (GSM)

Twitter, Facebook, and the Browser do not work, saying that I am unconnected to wifi, when I do have a connection. To solve this problem, I have been turning off the phone, and then pulling out the battery. This seems to work, it just seems tedious to keep doing so.Then I thought maybe I should upgrade the operating system. I can't seem to find this on the BB desktop manager.

Whats the best build out for tmo? I wanted to put .405 att official on but I read a bunch of posts saying to stay away from that unless you are AT&T...I am not really sure why, I never heard of carrier specific builds...RIM makes the build and carriers call them official if they pass their tests.I do not want bugs...Im over that...gone through trying every single new build on my 9000, lololol.I want one with the best battery life possible and everything working.

I am currently using ver. 4.7 but i do want to see what the new version 5.0 is like. when i click on the messenger i con i get the 'Updat Available:Get Link/Copy Link/cancel options. But This morning i find that everytime i go into BB Messenger I get a box that says 'Upgrade available' I click on the 'get link' box and go to the page it takes me to on explorer. View 1 Replies View RelatedThe trackpad on my Bold 9700 stopped working last night. It scrolled but would not register being pressed. Followign advice elsewhere on this site, I downloaded the desktop manager and backed up the device, then installed a new operating system (version 6).
Now nothing on the BB is working. It is stuck on the terms and conditions screen that starts "This handheld device includes software that it proprietary and confidential to Research In Motion Limited. . ." I can see there is a blue arrow at the bottom, implying I need to scroll down and accept the terms and conditions, but as none of the keyboard is responding, I can't do this.
