Mar 7, 2010Does anyone know how to change the default setting for the locked screen? Right now when I press key lock, my wallpaper shows for a few seconds, but then it switches to the big clock. How to I get it to stay on my wallpaper and not show the clock? I just upgraded from My curve 8300 to the Bold 9700 and the only thing I hate about it is the big clock that shows up when I lock the screen.

Feb 11, 2010I can't stand how the bold 9700 has a screen lock button on top of it- on my old curve i set the side convenience button as the screen lock and to unlock the screen i had to hit two keys (since i didn't set a PW)... now all i have to do his hit the top button-- i've pocket dialed a bunch of people now just by accidentally pressing this button- is there any way to disable this top screen lock button?

Apr 10, 2010On my BB, when I press the lock button on the top left, the screen goes black and it locks. I'm sure I changed it to this at some point from something else however I don't know how or where etc. My friend's Blackberry (same Bold 9700) has a lock screen that shows a padlock to say it's locked but I don't get this? Any ideas? This lock screen displays her background image and a little padlock in the bottom corner etc.

However, I recently bought a new cover for my phone (with a see-threw screen on top) and figured out that I'm not able to move the clock in my lock screen. This little see-threw screen is more annoying now than useful, because it only shows me half of the clock.
Is there any way to move the clock a little up at the lock screen? I'm using Android 5.1.1 and I no longer have the feature of widgets in my lock screen. So it seems.
BB (RIM) :: Bold 9700 Apps In Background Running
Jun 18, 2010You know how when you open an application, and just press the hangup / power key, it exits the application from the screen but it still keeps running in the background memory. I have noticed that such applications in the memory can drain the battery real quick. I was wondering if anyway on the phone you can check which applications are currently running in the background memory? If i can find that out, I can just exit all the apps and save my battery life. Let me know if anyone knows a way to do so.

in the device, the main/default folder is the INBOX, whereas I prefer to use the ALL MAIL filter. Right now, I need to select FILTER, and then ALL MAIL, to see all my new emails, as opposed to those that only went into my INBOX. Any way to make the ALL MAIL folder the default one?

Oct 25, 2010Am using BB 9700 and am having problem with my BBM status message is not changing since over a month now, I have read in some forums tha I need to make my BBM contacts less than a 100 to make it change and I don't like this solution since I don't want to delete my friends any one can help.By the way if I add new contact he will see the current status message but for the old contact they will keep seeing the old.i have a dozens of friends having the same problem please RIM we need a propper solution.

Jan 27, 2010Whenever I change the sound profile, my custom alert tones for eBay and UberTwitter apps change to silent and to different sounds than those I chose.
I already tried a RIM support solution that calls for clearing a corrupted profiles database. It helped for a few days. Now the issue is back, and today it even made all my LED alerts turn to off.
A friend of mine is having the same issue. We both use the Bold with TMO's stock OS.

May 19, 2012I've been facing great problems in turning on my Bold 9700 mobile. I just changed the sim card and from then the cell is not turning on. Whenever it stars to turn on after a few seconds it restarts, then again the actions replay. I can't even charge it as it keeps turning on and restarting again and again.

Jul 26, 2010I have a problem with my Blackberry and would be grateful if anyone knows what the problem is.I have only my Blackberry 9700 bold for 1 month or so.I am unable to lock my keypad by using the lock key on top of the phone. This has happened before but after charging my phone it started to work again. I have turned my phone on and off, tried charging it and the button still doesn't work. Although the keypad will lock when I put it into the leather case.Do you think it is a problem with my blackberry and I should return it? Apr 24, 2012I have a bold 3 (9780), while browsing the internet my phone froze for a bit. I than managed to switch on and off. When it restarted I couldn't access applications on the menu. I than switched off again, when I restarted, the screen background appeared white, with a message saying app error 606 and with a small reset link below. I have clicked the reset many times but to no use. I even took out the battery a few times, but nothing has worked.
