Is there a way of changing the lock screen i.e putting a new picture on it so it is not blank? I can not find the option to do this in the settings.
View 6 RepliesI use my phone with a wired headset (no hang up botton on the headset). This also happens on speaker phone. If I'm on a conversation for several minutes and its time to hang up--I have to unlock and enter my password (required for corporate activesync) then push the end call button. This makes hanging up an awkward process--having to fumble around for several seconds while the other party gets to listen to you doing it. The lock doesn't happen all the time.
But one way for sure to recreate the behavior is to:
1. Set your screen timeout to 15 seconds.
2. Call the phone from another line. Answer phone and put it on speaker phone. Or use wired headset as I do.
3. Wait for screen timeout or just press power button while on the call. Now wake the phone up. The phone may or may not be locked now. But if you now press the Home softkey, the screen will certainly lock....while you are on a call! This means you know have to slide the lock and enter security code just to hang up on someone.
A better practice from a design stand point is that the phone should never lock while you are on a call. What purpose does it serve to lock while on a call? When it locks you can neither hang up, push dial tones, answer call waiting, etc. until you unlock it. This needs to be fixed.
I've been using the pattern screen lock since I got my mopho in november. It's been working smoothly until now. I recently decided to change it, so I go to settings put in a new pattern and confirm it no problem. I locked it to try it out and now when I press on the first circle it doesn't light up and it doesn't show a trail behind it. The screen also shuts off in 3 seconds. Now I can't unlock my phone. I'm not running any lockers or launchers just stock android. I searched google and these forums for lock screen bugs but I haven't found anything similar to my situation.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAs nokia user for the last 10 years, I become the proud owner of a 5800 Express Music, which has been the best phone I have ever used. So good in fact that I am not interested in an upgrade to the X6!
The problem I have been having started rearing it's ugly head in September last year. I was not sure if it was down to the cold weather but the screen seemed to "melt". It happened once in a while but now happens everyday. I have updated my software regularly and done the back ups to the phone but there seems to be no change. I have to guess the where the buttons are when putting in my pin number or screen lock pin, or remove the battery in the hope it comes back to normal. Please see pics attached. Anyone else have the same problem?

I was using AK notepad and it wouldn't let me pin a note to the furtherest left homescreen.That screen is totally blank.It said homescreen didn't have room and out the note on the next page over.I can then grab the note and drag it to the blank homescreen.I deleted the app and installed classic notes but it does the same behavior.Why would it do this on that screen?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am not sure if any of you are as upset by this as I am, but it does not appear that I will ever be able to use WiMax in my home area (Directly north of Indy). The only possible redeeming possibility is if the Photon can be upgraded to LTE via software fix (similar to the Xoom). I have heard talk from multilple forums that it may be compatible since it has a sim card and that there is LTE in the build.prop file.
View 14 Replies View RelatedMy phone is always changing the signal quality on it. The top of the information area will turn from green to grey to nothing over and over again. If i place or receive a call within a few minutes it drops with no record of the call. The internet is the same i will have 4g service and then it will crawl. I have to keep the phone still to maintain the signal. if i even move my hand the signal is gone.I know it is not sprint cause my wife has a diffent phone and it works perfectly she is chatting away on it all day never had a signal issue. went the spint salesman and he didnt understand why it was doing that. It dropped a call right in the store.I am on the sprint network, I have updated my profile and all the updates are complete. All the salesman suggested is that I do a factory reset and lose everything on the phone. I dont want to lose some games i paid for. If i have to do the reset is there a way to backup my games and how would i reteive them?

I can view them just fine on my phone, but as soon as I move them over to my computer the images are all invalid and I can't view them anymore. I've only tried with pictures I took with the camera on my phone so I don't know if this applies to downloaded images as well.
I searched around the forum and it seems a couple of people ran into this or something similar to this but I haven't come across a definite solution that doesn't require me to go online with my phone.
On, my Samsung 5S,all the numbers on my lock screen are blank square. I can select them and give the right info but it look likes there is a problem with the display.

Sometimes when i restart my device, it won't display the blackberry logo and the progress bar, i just get the blank lit up screen. and after 5 - 10 minutes or so, i use random buttons on the keypad to get the display back, but nothing works. i just see blank screen and lit up keypad. However, I recently bought a new cover for my phone (with a see-threw screen on top) and figured out that I'm not able to move the clock in my lock screen. This little see-threw screen is more annoying now than useful, because it only shows me half of the clock.
Is there any way to move the clock a little up at the lock screen? I'm using Android 5.1.1 and I no longer have the feature of widgets in my lock screen. So it seems.
By default, the Atrix uses the picture filename of "YYYY-MM-DD_hh-mm-ss_xxx.jpg" (example: "2011-08-01_09-16-12_123.jpg"). How can we change this to another filename mask, like "YYYY_MMDD_hhmmss xxx.jpg" (example: 2011_0801_091612 123.jpg) or any other format of our choosing?In addition, are there any other field masks that we can use beyond the YYY, MM and DD and time fields?

When I went back to put it on I get a message that I can only have one PicFrame widget on my homescreen... i went ahead and rebooted the phone and still the same. So I decided to clear the Home Data, to bring it back to stock, it let me add the widget but it wouldn't show any pics.. so I deleted it to try and add it back and got the same error I was getting befofe.... Can anyone else try to add the widget, delete it, and try adding it again? Any partial fix comes to mind. I think that the HOME app is locking data into memory and not releasing it... maybe that's why when I deleted the HOME DATA I was able to put it back.. but now is not letting me...

In the unlock FAQs, it is mentioned that the bootloader can be re-locked. However, I can't seem to find any instructions on how to do this. So, how do you do it? I've only unlocked my bootloader. Everything else about the phone is stock. I haven't flashed any new ROMs or anything else.

Doesn't have any service at all. I was wondering if I took the SIM card out of the Nokia and put it in my Bold.. what would happen? I received a text with a picture attachment and I could not download the attachment because it came up with an error that said I had no data connectivity. The 3g data symbol was up and blue in color and worked because I was able to text via data roaming.I can send and receive calls and text messages while roaming, just could not get the MMS picture. I had everything checked correctly, data roam and call roam were both checked. The only way I could get it was to get to an area where I had sprint service to download. Is this a known problem? Where I work deep in the building I am usually roaming.
