View 4 Replies View RelatedRecently got a blackberry bold 9700 as a gift. Noticed that a very tiny icon comes up near the upper left corner of the screen. Looks like a box or briefcase with a red circle on the top right corner of the icon, either with a white star or arrow in it. Its too small to say for sure. Can't find any answers in the manuals or online.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI don't remember what I did but my phone icon disappeared and I don't know how to get it back on my home screen.
View 10 Replies View RelatedThe new message icon remains on the home screen even after the messages have been read. It also remains on the Message folder.I was told to remove the battery when the phone is "On" and re-insert it. The icon does disappear only to return when new messages arrive. Is there a permanent solution for this problem? This must be a software problem but no new software updates are available from RIM
View 10 Replies View RelatedI downloaded a few application that I thought were demos of games, but turned out to just be links to the developer's website. It was essentially just a ploy to get some extra revenue, which I suppose is their perogative, but I found the label to be misleading. In any case, I now wish to remove these "demos", but I can't seem to figure out how. The menu on selection won't let me remove the icon (it can be hidden, but I want it gone), and they don't show up under Setup --> Applications. They also don't appear in App World, so I can't archive/delete them from there. I've been working on this for a while now, to no avail. Any thoughts?

Phone: Bold 9700

I have recently notice a small red icon next to the carrier (Orange) name at the top of my 9700's home screen. On close examination it appears to be a house icon. I can't find reference to it in any of the booklets or by Googling. (I've also noticed that when I'm in the office it goes white).
View 7 Replies View RelatedCan anyone tell me what this little green man with a missed message means and how do I get rid of it? It's on the top of my indicator bar?
View 5 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to place an icon on the homescreen which opens directly to a webpage. For example, I don't use the Facebook application due to preferring the mobile web based version but would like to open directly from the homepage if possible without opening the browser and selecting the bookmark.
I found myself doing so much stuffs on my 9700 last nite, things that got me confusing at some point which made me sleep off. I woke up 2day to play music (as usual) and suddenly discovered that my default music icon isn't displayed, with just video, picture, video cam and etc just showing. I did a search on my home screen and discovered it, but it just wasn't showing normal, it showed faintly kind of although it still played my music from there. But still going through 'the media' again, its not showing...ts more like I have to always play my music through searching on my homescreen.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI don't know if this is the right forum for this, but I woke this morning to see my Yahoo email icon back on my home screen. Has anyone else gotten it back? And lastly, how do I change it back to a stock BB icon?
Never noticed this one before; a tiny notification icon in the application banner.Anyone know what app this is? Can't seem to find it.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI can't find my BB messenger icon anymore. It's not in the IM folder or my home screen folder and I don't have any icons "hidden". It is downloaded.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got the bold 9700 ver. 2 from ATT and don't have the phone icon. It is not hidden, I looked, and not in any other folder. All I have is a phone icon that is for Visual Voice Mail, which I am not signed up for and don't want to be. When I click the VVM icon it says do you want to sign up and I hit No and it just kicks me back to the main screen. How can I get rid of the Visual VM icon and get the Call log icon?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI accidentally deleted the contacts icon from the default menu screen, I am not able to recreate the same. What is the procedure for restoring it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust picked up a Bold 9700 today. So far, I've been impressed with the phone itself. One thing I'm wondering though is can the application icons on the bottom of the main (wallpaper) screen be changed for other applications? This is the default theme that came with the phone, btw. I've seen screen shots of this theme with different application icons. I set up 2 emails on my phone and now my phone has the Messages icon, 2 email icons, SMS/MMS icon, Contacts icon, and Calendar icon. I'd like to be able to switch these around if possible. For instance, I only want to see the "overall" Messages icon, and replace the 2 email icons.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMe and two others recently got new bold 9700 phones through work. For some reason my phone doesn't have maps or application center in the homescreen. The phone also doesn't allow me to download the AppWorld through the phone browser.I know maps and application center are installed because they are in the Options->Applications list. I also installed the AppWorld through connecting the phone to my computer. Again AppWorld doesn't show up on the homescreen but does in the applications list.
The only difference (after having a quick look) between my phone and their phones is their 'default browser configuration' is set to 'internet browser', mine only has the option of 'Vodafone Live' or 'Hotspot browser'I tried putting one of their sim cards in my phone, and I still didn't have the applications in the homescreen. All three of us have plugged our phones into the computer and updated the phones - think in the same way.

I found the bold 9700 that I have now, and I've already unlocked it. It apparently has an IT block disallowing third party apps from being downloaded, I looked it up and to remove this it says to restore the factory default settings.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I get a new SMS, it is the same as a new e-mail icon. However, this is not supposed to be so... SMS's are supposed to be a slanted envelop. I never had this problem with my old curve 8320. I've also had this icon issue since I got my phone several months ago. The icons remain the same no matter which OS version I use. I am on T-mobile.
