Mar 21, 2010I do have a few months old X6, which has worked quite fine so far. Now, surprisingly Music Player gives just "System Error" when trying to use it i.e. trying to play a song from the lists. I can play the songs direct from the X6 file manager, but not by the Music Player.
I've done all the normal stuff, e.g. installed firmware again, hard reset, etc. without any success. Seems to be that the library index, or related has been corrupted. Library updating does not work neither. Any ideas? Does anyone now where to find the library index (or related) file to be deleted? And furthermore to re-build the index again?
Nokia Music :: Unable To Sort Songs In Player?
Aug 28, 2012I'm using Nokia 701 with music player version 17.2.17 I've around 700 songs in my memory card. In music player, I see the sorting in the order: (i) Artist & then (ii) Album be specific artist. That's okay.
But when I open the album, I see the songs in any random order. They are not sorted alphabetically.

Jul 19, 2010I have installed OVI Music Player in My PC with windows XP as administrator. With my new Nokia 5235 I have got unlimited ovi music download for n year. So I registered my PC through OVI Player OVI Music tab.
Now I am able to sign in and download music from OVI Music Store.But when I am trying to play Downloaded and imported music in my PC through my music tab it is ovi player is trying to Download Microsoft Windows Media DRM. And it is failed to update DRM showing Error message "We are Unable to authorize your PC. Make sure you are connected to the internet and try again. (0xC00D2736)"
How is it possible that I am not connected to internet as I am downloading Music at the same time through OVI player and signed in to OVI music with my unlimited downloadable user id?? When I open my Music account details through OVI player OVI music Tab it is showing that this is my authorized PC then why I am not able to get DRM to play downloaded Music?

Instead of song I've got ''qtn_lgal_list_title_..." ..i tried to delete them but i couldn't. I updated software,but the problem doesn't disappear.

May 1, 2013The HTC Music player cannot find the songs that I downloaded from Google Play Music? I can't find them either using ES File Explorer although they always show up in the Google "Play Music" app. I've configured the songs that I downloaded from Google "Play Music" to download to the phone and they show as "Pinned" in the "Play Music" app. Lastly I confirmed that the music is on the phone by playing them with "Play Music" while the phone is is airplane mode. I want the default HTC music player to play these songs since that player is available from the lock screen and blink feed.

After about 20 plus songs or so, the playlist starts all over again from the very top.... In some rare occasions, the list even starts auto shuffling itself even though shuffle isn't turned on >.< It's annoying as I have to keep going back to where I last stopped again everytime it does that. Is there any way to fix it??? I've tried turning my phone on and off and soft resetting my phone already but the problem still persists

Jul 27, 2010This is getting really frustrating.I bought this blue nokia 5800 XM in January (Australia), and in the past month its been giving me trouble.Okay, right now: Running v50.xx..My phone is having a 'general error' when I try and play music in the music player.Only when I find songs via the file manager I can play them..One at a time.This is the second time within a week that its done this!The first time I googled around and found I had to 'hard-reset' then clear my memory card of bad sectors.Done that, it fixed..Until now.This isn't the only problem, at the start of the month my stupid phone would restart itself just for fun, and the alarm doesn't function properly (when I touch/slide to 'snooze' or 'stop' it doesn't respond until a minute later) And the memory card has wiped itself before aswell
I reformatted the entire phone and memory, clean install of firmware and everything but still I get problems? Why? Think I'll go back to my old SE w910i it was much better..No problems with it ever (even after I dropped the battery in water).BTW I think I should have 1yr nokia warranty (does it cover first year from purchase?), but then again all they'll tell me to do is wait my time every week re-formatting the phone.

May 9, 2012i have copied a couple of mp3 from pc to mobile and refreshed the music library. All the mp3 were working perfect.. After some days i deleted the copied folder. There are other mp3s in music folder in my mmc which i use to hear frequently. Yesterday, I put my favourite songs that I had on my N95 and some more into the N8 mass storage(about 700 mp3 files closer to 4GB). Then I refreshed the music player and started listening to songs. Nokia :: N97 Music Player Continuously Searching For Songs
Apr 6, 2010I have a N97 running firmware v.21.0.045 and about a week or so ago I was forced to do the hard reset because the phone became so unstable. I left my E: drive (the mass storage) intact including all of my songs, videos and pictures I had stored.Everything seems to be okay apart from the Music Player which everytime I use it it starts to search for songs and podcasts continuously. I can stop that and it lists all of my music and can play them but the volume control does not work, either from the telephone or the earpiece supplied.I have tried leaving it searching for hours but nothing changes - it just keeps on searching. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this please or does it mean I have to do another reset of the telephone? It all worked before.

It does the albums but when you try to load the songs it says something like "damaged/corrupted file". Is I surf the file system and choose a mp3 file I can ply it no problem. Any clue? If we use this it will sort with Artists first and below it will show the Album name. I live in India, and here we generally listen to songs by movie/album wise not by artist.... I having nightmare in searching the albums as they are sorted by artists first..... I also use Nokia 5800 XM in that we got seperate option "sort by Album" but it is combined with artists in Nokia Symbian^3 phones.....I love the new music player the way it shows the album arts but the only thing is it removed the sort by Album option..
