I have a nokia n8 with a 32GB micro sd, I've managed to put some music on and anything I try and put on now doesn't show up in the libery. Then when I look in the file manager the files arent there and when its connected to my computer the songs aren't there.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a N97 running firmware v.21.0.045 and about a week or so ago I was forced to do the hard reset because the phone became so unstable. I left my E: drive (the mass storage) intact including all of my songs, videos and pictures I had stored.Everything seems to be okay apart from the Music Player which everytime I use it it starts to search for songs and podcasts continuously. I can stop that and it lists all of my music and can play them but the volume control does not work, either from the telephone or the earpiece supplied.I have tried leaving it searching for hours but nothing changes - it just keeps on searching. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this please or does it mean I have to do another reset of the telephone? It all worked before.

It does the albums but when you try to load the songs it says something like "damaged/corrupted file". Is I surf the file system and choose a mp3 file I can ply it no problem. Any clue? I tried to re-install the belle, but the problem still there. How could I re-install only the Player?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using Nokia 701 with music player version 17.2.17 I've around 700 songs in my memory card. In music player, I see the sorting in the order: (i) Artist & then (ii) Album be specific artist. That's okay.
But when I open the album, I see the songs in any random order. They are not sorted alphabetically.
Is it possible to shuffle play all the songs in the music player in my Nokia 5800. I know I can do it when playing each individual album but can I do it for the whole library?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI do have a few months old X6, which has worked quite fine so far. Now, surprisingly Music Player gives just "System Error" when trying to use it i.e. trying to play a song from the lists. I can play the songs direct from the X6 file manager, but not by the Music Player.
I've done all the normal stuff, e.g. installed firmware again, hard reset, etc. without any success. Seems to be that the library index, or related has been corrupted. Library updating does not work neither. Any ideas? Does anyone now where to find the library index (or related) file to be deleted? And furthermore to re-build the index again?
Is there any option so that we can sort the songs by Albums. I know we have got a option " Artists and albums". If we use this it will sort with Artists first and below it will show the Album name. I live in India, and here we generally listen to songs by movie/album wise not by artist.... I having nightmare in searching the albums as they are sorted by artists first..... I also use Nokia 5800 XM in that we got seperate option "sort by Album" but it is combined with artists in Nokia Symbian^3 phones.....I love the new music player the way it shows the album arts but the only thing is it removed the sort by Album option..
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have installed OVI Music Player in My PC with windows XP as administrator. With my new Nokia 5235 I have got unlimited ovi music download for n year. So I registered my PC through OVI Player OVI Music tab.
Now I am able to sign in and download music from OVI Music Store.But when I am trying to play Downloaded and imported music in my PC through my music tab it is ovi player is trying to Download Microsoft Windows Media DRM. And it is failed to update DRM showing Error message "We are Unable to authorize your PC. Make sure you are connected to the internet and try again. (0xC00D2736)"
How is it possible that I am not connected to internet as I am downloading Music at the same time through OVI player and signed in to OVI music with my unlimited downloadable user id?? When I open my Music account details through OVI player OVI music Tab it is showing that this is my authorized PC then why I am not able to get DRM to play downloaded Music?
My Nokia E-5 music player does not show all songs. The file manager does though. I have tried everything that I could, from the internet. No solution yet. Nokia wont address it. Please don't ask me to refresh my music player.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a 5800 and recently wanted to play a song. When I started the player, I got an error - something to do with the music library being corrupted. I left it to try and sort the problem for a while and then pressed STOP. When I tried later, the library was empty.I have upgraded the Music player but that also did not help. I removed the memory card where the MUSIC diretory is located and re-installed it. I have also re-booted the phone several times.From my PC I can see the directroy with all my music. All attempts to REFRESH the library on the phone fail with a message saying that 0 songs have been added. I have left it for long periods of time but still have no songs.If I locate a song with the file manager I can play it.Is there some way to delete/reset the library database and force it to re-create it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI dont't know if this was asked before but I couldn't find a toppick with exactly the same problem.When I browse through the albums the songs are listed in the right order ,but when I start dding them to a playlist (doesn't matter if it's new or existing) they appear sorted alphabeticaly.There is no option to correct that.It seems that when adding songs to playlist the player reads the song name and not the song nomber from the tag.I even tryed adding the correct numbers infront of the song name in the id3tag but then again it sorts them wrong (like 01,10,11,12,13,02,03,04,etc.)
View 5 Replies View RelatedRecently ive been using my Nokia 808 as a music player in my car, my Kenwood stereo has a aux input and the 808 has a small headphone jack output so connecting it is no problem (i dont use the FM transmitter on the phone as the aerial on my car isnt so good and i get interference).
It works well but the major problem is that its very quiet compared to a cd. I have used software to normalise the volume of all my audio tracks so they are pretty much at normal cd level but they are still quietier than cd's played by the car stereo by quite a long way. The problem is not with my car stereo as its an extremely good unit which cost me a lot of money, so therefore it must be that the phone simply does not output enough volume.
know of a device that can increase the volume to the car stereo aux input?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been using N86 for the past 2-3 years and this week I switched to nokia n8, I upgraded it to belle the very first day and everything seems to be working well n good except for this thing. I have above 700 songs in my music library and there is no way to mark multiple songs in the music library of nokia n8 so that I can add them to specific playlists. Is there some simpler way to do this maybe I am missing it because its my first experience with a touch phone. OR has nokia been so ignorant that this feature was not implemented in this OS, which I personally think is not possible (cos I don't expect such a thing from Nokia btw). I don't want to long press every single song and then add to playlist and repeat the same process for above 700 records it will take me a whole day I guess.

When I tried to open the Music Player, it showed only some 70 songs, instead of 172 which the Memory card had originally in it.I tried to Refresh the Music Player, initially it showed that files are been loaded.But after about 50 songs the device hanged up there.I tried to cancel the process, but it didn't respond anything. The Screen got struck and I have to switch-off mobile and start it again to resume it into operation. I tried to pull out the Memory card and insert it again, but the songs are not getting populated in the Music Player.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a Nokia 701 and I noticed that sometimes after receiving a call (That being after the call ends) if I was listening to the music player the music is slowed down and crackly after the call. (bug occurs atleast with headphones plugged in. Not sure if without. The music is distorted even after I remove my headphones.) This bug can be fixed with a restart.

Bluetooth headset is connected, music player is not running (or any other application, for that matter). When a phone conversation ends, or a missed call is received, the music player starts by itself. Note: I do not press any buttons on the headset or the phone.
how to prevent this annoying behavior?
