default music player is not refreshing ,when i start refresh is shows 5 songs added but it didnt stop refreshing and after some time the player got hang and i can't play any music and ultimately i hv to restart the ph.
I have , once, removed my mobile phone from data cable without safety remove and there it gave me lot of troubles. My facebook was not able to be connected through the provided application and my music player stopped working as and stopped refreshing saying that "File corrupted"
Finally. i removed my memory card, formatted it and made it worked.
Nokia should consider fixing these issues as we respect them a lot and think that they are still the #1 hardware vendor and will keep giving us good options than Samsung - android and will compete with apple phones.
At first my n8's music player is working fine. But suddenly after i add songs to my n8 and try to refresh the music library, it keeps on saying "library is up to date" but no file or song was added to the music library..I have tried to search some solutions here and follow the instruction like deleting the mpx stuff but stiLl it is not working.

I am hopeless with computers, but i know i have all the system requirements as iv had the full nokia package on this pc before when i had an n96, i then deleted it all when i changed phones.
I have a 5800 and recently wanted to play a song. When I started the player, I got an error - something to do with the music library being corrupted. I left it to try and sort the problem for a while and then pressed STOP. When I tried later, the library was empty.I have upgraded the Music player but that also did not help. I removed the memory card where the MUSIC diretory is located and re-installed it. I have also re-booted the phone several times. From my PC I can see the directroy with all my music. All attempts to REFRESH the library on the phone fail with a message saying that 0 songs have been added. I have left it for long periods of time but still have no songs. If I locate a song with the file manager I can play it.Is there some way to delete/reset the library database and force it to re-create it?
I dont't know if this was asked before but I couldn't find a toppick with exactly the same problem. When I browse through the albums the songs are listed in the right order ,but when I start dding them to a playlist (doesn't matter if it's new or existing) they appear sorted alphabeticaly. There is no option to correct that.It seems that when adding songs to playlist the player reads the song name and not the song nomber from the tag.I even tryed adding the correct numbers infront of the song name in the id3tag but then again it sorts them wrong (like 01,10,11,12,13,02,03,04,etc.)
Recently ive been using my Nokia 808 as a music player in my car, my Kenwood stereo has a aux input and the 808 has a small headphone jack output so connecting it is no problem (i dont use the FM transmitter on the phone as the aerial on my car isnt so good and i get interference).
It works well but the major problem is that its very quiet compared to a cd. I have used software to normalise the volume of all my audio tracks so they are pretty much at normal cd level but they are still quietier than cd's played by the car stereo by quite a long way. The problem is not with my car stereo as its an extremely good unit which cost me a lot of money, so therefore it must be that the phone simply does not output enough volume.
know of a device that can increase the volume to the car stereo aux input?
i have copied a couple of mp3 from pc to mobile and refreshed the music library. All the mp3 were working perfect.. After some days i deleted the copied folder. There are other mp3s in music folder in my mmc which i use to hear frequently. Now, after deleting the copied folder, i tried to refresh the library but it says "refresh stopped' and when i click libary details it says 'file is corrupt. Operation cancelled'I can see the album art but cant see any files in that !!! Cross checked the path and played via files.M using belle frmwr vrsn 111.030.0609 which is latest available in my area.
My music player has suddenly stopped working. When I open it, it just shows file is corrupted and fails to play any song. Refreshing the library doesnt work. Nor does reinstalling the phone firmware.
Unless I'm missing something. There is no way to search/narrow the music list like in the contact list? White 808 Pureview NAMBlack N8 NAMSilver N95-3 NAM
I have bought new Nokia 5233, two days back. And I have inserted a 2GB Micro SD Memory card to it. When I tried to open the Music Player, it showed only some 70 songs, instead of 172 which the Memory card had originally in it.I tried to Refresh the Music Player, initially it showed that files are been loaded. But after about 50 songs the device hanged up there.I tried to cancel the process, but it didn't respond anything. The Screen got struck and I have to switch-off mobile and start it again to resume it into operation. I tried to pull out the Memory card and insert it again, but the songs are not getting populated in the Music Player.
I have a nokia n8 with a 32GB micro sd, I've managed to put some music on and anything I try and put on now doesn't show up in the libery. Then when I look in the file manager the files arent there and when its connected to my computer the songs aren't there.
I recently bought a Nokia 701 and I noticed that sometimes after receiving a call (That being after the call ends) if I was listening to the music player the music is slowed down and crackly after the call. (bug occurs atleast with headphones plugged in. Not sure if without. The music is distorted even after I remove my headphones.) This bug can be fixed with a restart.
I had a Nokia X3-02 which I copied music to the memory (microSD 4GB) and I was able to play the music with the native music player this phone had.....Now I have a Nokia 700 I do the same thing but I am not able to add the music from my microSD (32 GB) to this player so I have to use the File Explorer but is a pain is the **** since I have to play song per song....is the a good free music player for my nokia 700? so I add add o read music from my microSD and create to play the music without too much toucing my phone?
there sorry if this has been repeated but couldnt find it had in the forum.I have the problem of when i move my music albums to the N8 music player it always show the songs even when i choose albums view??? How can i make it just show the album so i can just play that when i need to?
I bought a N8 two days ago. Everything was fine until yesterday. Yesterday, I put my favourite songs that I had on my N95 and some more into the N8 mass storage(about 700 mp3 files closer to 4GB). Then I refreshed the music player and started listening to songs. All of a sudden the music player got stuck. I couldn't do anything. I had to push the power button for about 8 - 12 seconds to turn it off.
I have annoying bug on my Music Player. When i try to refresh the new tunes in the library an error occure : Syntax error ---> 0files refreshed. How to reinstall Music player,I was try to restore factory settings but that error still appear. My second question is how to copy my all contacts saved on phone memory to my SIM memory?
New Phone (5800). New memory card. A few test tracks installed onto card. "Refresh music Library". NO!! comes up with "general system error"? so what now? Nothing old to delete - where do I go from here?
after i sync music from ovi player then i refresh the music library in the phone it shows "operation failed. file is corrupted .. 0 files added " ... but it actually adds the new songs.
I remember for sure that I used refresh in the music player of Belle FP1 on my 701. It was in options>library>refresh. Now I just couldn't find the same. Where did it go lol.
After upgrading my N8 to Belle, the following scenario happens:
Bluetooth headset is connected, music player is not running (or any other application, for that matter). When a phone conversation ends, or a missed call is received, the music player starts by itself. Note: I do not press any buttons on the headset or the phone.
First of all, for some reason Nokia have decided to categories Artists AND Albums together, rather than have a separate Artists category and separate Albums category. It seems to work fine if you have an album from a single artist, but seems to be messed up if you have compilation albums (Such as the NOW albums)For example:I know I have Cheryl Cole's "Fight For This Love" on my memory card, which is on NOW 74 Disc I. However, there are no listings for Cheryl Cole, and there is no way for me to browse via album name. Instead, it can weirdly be found listed under Little Boots, along with other tracks from that album.
It seems a little backwards to me, and an illogical way of doing things. I would have much preferred to have had separate options for Artist and Albums. I know I have at least two Cheryl Cole tracks on my memory card, yet the software doesn't seem to recognise them at all, despite the track tags being up-to-date (They appear on all my other phones). This also happens for many other multi-artist albums.
I also found that the equaliser is limited to only five built-in presets, and there doesn't seem to be an option to set the levels yourself, as you could previously on other Nokia handsets in the past. Nokia also seem to be pimping the Shuffle mode on almost every screen in the music player - Moreso than seems normal I think there is definitely room for improvement in regards to the music listening experience, and it feels as if Nokia haven't quite finished the design. If anything, they've broken what was previously a perfect interface on models such as the N91, N82, N95, and N96 et al...
