after i sync music from ovi player then i refresh the music library in the phone it shows "operation failed. file is corrupted .. 0 files added " ... but it actually adds the new songs.

In almost every album, it shows every song twice.
Tried refreshing the library more than once now, but no luck.
If I add a new album, it only shows those tracks once.
So this must have happened some time ago, but I can't seem te get rid of it.
Then it says "Refresh stopped" How can I resolve this error? I cannot add new songs or playlists.

My facebook was not able to be connected through the provided application and my music player stopped working as and stopped refreshing saying that "File corrupted"
Finally. i removed my memory card, formatted it and made it worked.
Nokia should consider fixing these issues as we respect them a lot and think that they are still the #1 hardware vendor and will keep giving us good options than Samsung - android and will compete with apple phones.
I bought N97 & transferred some music files from PC. Some them are copied to Menu<Music<Music Library. I want to delete these files. Can anybody guide me for this?
Also How the Music files under Application<Mass Memory<E:<Music can be played as playlist?

I recently updated my N70 Firmware to v32 using OTA update. but his prob has been there since b4 doing the update.

If i try to refresh nothing happens, i have removed the data from the card, and put it back still nothing. When i connect with usb cable i can see and even play the music on my laptop. There is still nothing under my playlist the music is still playing under tones but its not showing in my music files and not refreshing.

Songs are present and correct but the folder will not update (i.e. I deleted a song but the number on the folder does not show this change or I removed a specific genre but that genre folder remains)- I have seen this issue with a number of Nokia music player phones and was wondering if anything was ever resolved, There was a workaround for the 5800 (show hidden folders and delete a load of .dat files) but this does not work for my C7 with Belle?

They are on my computer itunes library but it won't let me transfer the purchases back to my phone (which I have never had to do before). My brothers computer broke. It was a PC. But he had his iPhone synced with it. So now he wants to get the music he lost in that computer to download to his new computer. But the music he purchased is on his iPhone, and the computer wont let him transfer the music from his iPhone, to his new computer. It tells him this music was synced with a different library and won't let him transfer the music.
Does anyone know a work around for this. I know he is using a PC, but I figure, and Apple user, who brakes his Laptop(I'm not talking about crashing, I am talking about actually braking, it was smashed basically), would run into the same problem, your iPhone has Music that was synced with another Library, and it wont let you move the music to the new library. Even though this music was all purchased with the same Apple ID, that doesn't seem to matter. Now, I know that one of the new features of iTunes lets you re-download music you purchased and may have lost, without having to purchase it again. But none of the music from that broken laptop appears in that list of re-downloadable music. All was purchased from iTunes.
I was trying to autofill music from my music under Library to my iPhone. I have done this before, but just tonight it has not worked. The message I get is "iTunes cannot add any songs to the iphone "iPhone" because no songs in your iTunes library could be found.

I am trying to erase all the music from my iPhone and then load a new music library. In iTunes I go to Music > Sync Music > Entire music library, then attempt to Sync. I get the "this will erase all the music on the iPhone" message, I say OK. I then get a dialog "The iPhone cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all the items in the iTunes library....."
The new library is about half the size of the library on the iPhone, so it is obviously not erasing.

I will soon be getting a Retina MBP, and would like to keep my entire music library on an external HD.
When keeping all of my music on an external drive, and leaving none on the rMBP, there comes the issue regarding music management on my iPhone. Presumably, in order to add music to the phone using this system, I would have to make sure that iTunes on the rMBP reads from the iTunes folder/library on the external HD, at which point the music files would become visible in iTunes and I could then add music to the iPhone.

Is there any chance to get music files from usb otg into the music library? With the file manager I can only play one title at once, when there are hundreds of mp3's stored on the usb drive. The player shows free space on usb-drive but no title list.

I wanted to add just one new song onto my N97, it was a song that I heard on the radio and liked so I purchased it on iTunes added it to a playlist and transferred it to my N97 using NMT. This all went fine until I tried refreshing the music library, no matter what I did the refresh would not find the additional song. I checked the transfer using YBrowser and sure enough the song had been transferred and the playlist had the new song added (I could even play it in the file browser) but this would not update in the music player.
To resolve this I had to delete all 4.7GB of music off my N97 (including the playlists) using NMT then disconnect the phone and refresh the library, the music library then displayed 0 songs. Then using NMT I had to reload all of the music and refresh the library, this time it worked. As you can imagine deleting and reloading 4.7GB (thankfully I don't have more music on my phone) of data takes quite a bit of time, all to add just one new 8MB song. Outrageous!
Has anyone else experienced this?

I just ugraded from the E73. Moved my microSD card over with my music. There is no where to update the music library so it sees all my music on the SD card.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have recently purchased Nokia N97 and have some problems using media library, exactly.I uploaded some music files to my mobile phone using Ovi Suit and Nokia Music center. But, when i tried to refresh Media Library it said: "0 files were added". although,when i enter Library and choose for instance "Artist" i can see sub folders there, but when i enter there is no music files or albums in it.
Case is that if i try to play some particular song from File Manager, it plays it and i have no problems, but i can not see thous files in Media Library.I have tried to delete files from Nokia Music Center and yes, it deletes them, but i can still see artist and album names in Media Library and can not delete them.Please help me if there is any known solution for it, or any possible way how to get rid of this problem or how to clean my Media Library and delete the files it is not showing.
