Feb 24, 2010Then it says "Refresh stopped" How can I resolve this error? I cannot add new songs or playlists.

Nokia :: N97 - Music Library - Refreshing
May 7, 2010Got a strange problem on my n97.
In almost every album, it shows every song twice.
Tried refreshing the library more than once now, but no luck.
If I add a new album, it only shows those tracks once.
So this must have happened some time ago, but I can't seem te get rid of it.

Jun 20, 2011after i sync music from ovi player then i refresh the music library in the phone it shows "operation failed. file is corrupted .. 0 files added " ... but it actually adds the new songs.

Mar 9, 2012When i removed my usb cable, the phone said device error then when i went to playlist all the music were gone. If i try to refresh nothing happens, i have removed the data from the card, and put it back still nothing. When i connect with usb cable i can see and even play the music on my laptop. There is still nothing under my playlist the music is still playing under tones but its not showing in my music files and not refreshing.

Aug 20, 2012I have , once, removed my mobile phone from data cable without safety remove and there it gave me lot of troubles. My facebook was not able to be connected through the provided application and my music player stopped working as and stopped refreshing saying that "File corrupted"
Finally. i removed my memory card, formatted it and made it worked.
Nokia should consider fixing these issues as we respect them a lot and think that they are still the #1 hardware vendor and will keep giving us good options than Samsung - android and will compete with apple phones.

Nov 20, 2011Ive used a sgs2 for about 2 months now and absolutely love d fone. Only problem now is when i download music (mainly from last fm) it doesnt come up on d music player. Previously, i would restart the fone and it would do a media scan AND library scan/refresh and then d new music would appear in the music player. Now for some reason it doesnt refresh the library! Only does a media scan and i cant get the music on the player though i know they undoubtedly on my fone, i see d files on my files.How can i make the fone scan/refresh the library or get my music to the music player any other ways.

Feb 6, 2010I recently have had trouble transferring music to my N97. I keep getting message the the folder was corrupt. I eventually removed all the music from my device though there are still some files there and I can not see them using File Management. Another thing that is occurring is that every time I go the my Music Player is says USB connection active and is has been hours doing this. In fact is locks up and I have to remove the battery and restart again. When I go back to music the does the same thing again and for hours. No music is being transferred as I have checked.

Nokia E71 :: 8GB MiniSD Card Corrupt / Encrypted Error?
Mar 27, 2010I have the much reported "memory card corrupt" error after upgrading the E71 to the latest firmware. I tried to look all over how to deal with this, most of the answers seem to be oriented towards trying to recover the data. I don't want, it, I just want to use the card. its encryption says its on, tried to unencrypt with the password pk5 file I had, accepts no password I have. so I tried all the suggested ways to format it - from the phone (doesn't work, it says "memory card in use" which isn't true, how can it be in use if its corrupt? I then select "continue anyway" then it just flashes quickly as if it formatted it and then does nothing) or from a PC with a card reader, tried several readers but always shows up the drive letter but when I try to format it in windows it says "There is no disk in drive X" must I throw away this 8GB MiniSD just because I upgraded firmware?

Mar 8, 2015Last week I got a new phone, Moto X, and transferred a bunch of music into it. Most worked just fine, but 4 albums had a problem. Two of them simply don't show in my library and the other 2 display the following error message when a song from one of them is played: Music playback error - Couldn't play the track you requested.
I've tried clearing Google Play Musics cache and data but the problem wasn't solved. I also cant remove my SD card because I dont have the little key that opens the compartment where its stored.

Feb 9, 2012I have an issue with my music library not updating folder/genre information when I refresh. Songs are present and correct but the folder will not update (i.e. I deleted a song but the number on the folder does not show this change or I removed a specific genre but that genre folder remains)- I have seen this issue with a number of Nokia music player phones and was wondering if anything was ever resolved, There was a workaround for the 5800 (show hidden folders and delete a load of .dat files) but this does not work for my C7 with Belle?

If I go in the Music Library, in the Options menu I have:Go to Now playing Go to Music store Music Library Details I've just synched my phone with iTunes by using Nokia Multimedia Transfer, and the files have been copied on my memory card under Sound filesiTunes Music and they play correctly from the file manager, but there's not way to "see" them in the Music Library. Jan 12, 2010My Storm was getting real slow. When I tried to do a backup via DM it kept getting hung up when it got to the Messenger files. So I deleted BBM, always figuring that I can install it again. I did not use BBM all that much anyways. Before I deleted Messenger I would boot at 29mb and it would quickly go down from there. Now I boot at 41mb and it has held steady. I guess I must have had a corrupt BBM file(s) that was messing with my BB. I don't know how big the BBM install is but I doubt it is 10MB.It's not the amount of memory that I boot with that bothers me it is how fast I have been losing it. If I booted at 20mb and it held there pretty steady it would not bother me. It is just the unstableness of the OS that is driving me batty. I haven't been able to load any 3rd party themes on my phone without it bleeding the memory dry in a matter of hours. Google Maps would be a fast drain in just a few minutes. Hopefully this will improve my phones performance in the long run.
