Feb 20, 2012I'm having trouble with my 4G Xoom; I've visited Tim Hortons and Dunkin Donuts, and have logged onto their free wifi, but each store uses the same SSID, and if I pull into the parking lot, my Xoom switches from 4G to wifi to connect. Now I believe the saved profiles are corrupted on my Xoom, as when I leave these establishments, my Xoom will not automatically go back to 4G, and requires a reboot to switch over. I would like to just clear my wifi settings and saved hotspots, but can't find a way to do this. I just wiped and restored my tablet, but it restored all of my hotspot settings and reloaded them. Also, the "forget" command is only available when you are within range of a hotspot

Jan 12, 2012I bought the device few days ago and on very same day updated to Android ver. 3.2. I use internet over my home Wifi and have a Netgear - WGR614 router. The browsing speed is very very slow and most sites dont open.The signal strength shown in xoom is - (-105 dBm 3 asu).Is this a issue with Android 3.2 update or my home wifi is weak? Would i be able to reset the tab to the original version?

Mar 18, 2010I debranded my c905 from ATT. I got everything working now. I have unlimited internet on my cell plan. I use bluetooth PAN to connect my laptop to the internet using my phone. I have another laptop that doesn't have bluetooth. It does have WiFi. I would like to turn my C905 into a WiFi hotspot. I have WiFi working on the phone but it doesn't have settings for AdHoc or anything that will let me turn it into a access point.

I'm trying to get my Xoom to connect to the corporate network (EAP-TLS) and followed the instructions for the IPad and imported my certificated into Android correctly. But when I connect, it hangs at the connecting state for minutes, before finally giving up.

Jun 14, 2011I would like to think that I am somewhat OK with using the XOOM based on the fact that I have an original DROID and have been dealing with the ANDROID OS for some time now. I have yet to load any files on the XOOM itself, but I was wondering how I go about accessing files once they are put on the XOOM. I have uploaded pictures and placed those in the picture folder but they are easy to find due to the gallery. When plugged into my laptop I can see all of the different folders, but I cannot figure out how to get to them when not plugged into the laptop. You can do a long touch on the DROID homescreen and it will give you the options of seeing, shortcuts, widgets, folders and wallpapers. This is how I would access files with the DROID. It does not work the same for the XOOM.

Jun 10, 2012I have a Motorola Xoom and I have just upgraded to ICS 4.0.4, prior to this I didn't have any problems accessing my wireless router...Netgear WGR614V6....but since the upgrade I've tried everything and I can't get Internet access. I go to settings and click on "Wireless" (You can see that it sees it amongst the list of Routers) and it shows that it is protected by the encryption "PSA-PSK". I put in the password and it goes through the motions but it doesn't connect. It shows that it is looking for an IP address but then it doesn't pass the authentication. I have even tried "WEP" but to no avail. Has anyone had this problem..is there a fix or do I have to go back to "HoneyComb".

Oct 4, 2011Just want to know if anyone else is having this problem or is just on my Xoom. I can access Market but when I try to access My Apps I regularly get a FC. What it says is (process.com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly.
I have tried the Vol-Up-On start and cleared the Market cache with the same result. Would uninstalling an reinstalling Market be the next step.

Nov 4, 2011It's wireless and has 3.2.1 installed, and has build # HTK75D. last week it was showing up on My Computer and I was able to save all in the system. Today I'm unable to access it in My Computer, in fact when I plug in the USB plug into the computer with Win 7 Pro it does not give a bing sound that sounds normally when a USB plug it plugged in. the same result when I tried a different hard drive. All my other USB toys work OK. I even installed "MotoHelper_2.0.53_Driver_5.2.0" with no positive results.

So, I looked at the CNet CQR-981 that will accept a USB modem (which the DAP350 apparently does not)The problem as I see it is that they all need some form of setting up/driver, and those will not be available for Andriod-or am I missing something? BTW, I've tried tethering my Xoom to my Nokia N8 both with wifi and BT.

Apr 29, 2011I currently missing photo and music, not really missing them, If I open ES File Explorer and open .sdcard/DCIM/Camera all my photo are there. They just don't show up in Gallery. I can open them from ES File Explorer fine. Same with Music, I can open /sdcard/Music and all my music is there but when I open the Music App, it reports"You don't have any music in your library." I can open any song from the file explorer.Also I can no longer see any files in storage when I connect my Xoom via USB to my Win7 pc, the internal storage shows up but is empty.

It is not listed in the "All Apps" list and when on the home screen, pressing the menu button then "Settings" does absolutely nothing. I've factory reset the phone, twice externally.
I can't get any more phone details as the menu is inacessible. how else I can get the settings menu functionality back?

Aug 27, 2011My son is in the Netherlands, trying to find a mobile carrier that will give him data access on his Droid 3. First he tried Vodafone NL, with the negative results I reported here: url...To summarize, Vodafone NL says there is a bug in the phone that they have reported to Motorola (with no response) that causes it to read the APN info on the SIM card incorrectly. Vodafone recommended that he try getting a SIM card from a major competitor such as KPN.
So that's what he's now done, with the following result: whenever APN settings are entered in the phone, they are forgotten 3 seconds later.So data remains unusable on the phone.This is a new phone that worked perfectly on CDMA and Verizon, and was purchased specificially because of its GSM capabilities in Europe.Note that with both carriers tried so far, voice and SMS ends up working fine.It's data that he can't get to work.A proposed solution to the Vodafone version of the problem was posted that involves rooting and tinkering with the files on the phone.That is not an option for us at the moment.

Oct 27, 2011Connected to WIFI at home, disconnect from WIFI to go to work and Xoom never get connected to 4G/3G/1X. I power off and power back on then it connects to 4G/LTE.
This happening consistently now.
It looks like LTE maybe weak in my area as I see one or two bars but it should have switch to 3G.
