I have recently changed From O2 to EMobile network and now i can't access my CCTV app over 3G/Edge. "The user is wrong or the authority is insufficient" is the error that comes up. All settings are good as works when connected to wifi at home or work and also still works on my wife's iphone over 3G on O2?

In my iTunes window, the playlists for my iphone 4s when it is connected show correctly. The playlists include 'top 25 most played songs', 'recently played', and 'recently added'. Although they appear in iTunes even after syncing, they do not show on my iPhone and I can not use them (they aren't there). But they continue to show in the iTunes list for the device. This is frustrating because I often like to play my recently added list or top 25.

My question is what is appropriate operation of 3G, wifi and edge network?
I get 3G in my area but I have been doing some research and as a result always keep edge on? That it's good for phone usage and text type applications like gmail chat and email? That if you are wanting to surf the Internet 3g and wifi is faster?
Basically the research that I have found is to keep edge on at all times and use 3g or wifi if you want faster results. Also keeping iPhone on edge network uses less battery?
this past week for whatever reason my phone stopped connecting to the edge network and needless to say it sucks not being able to get on the internet on my phone.jailbroke 3.1.2 3gs with black rain. worked fine for over a month no problem and i didnt change anything when i lost internet access.could this be an issue with the jailbreak or is this something i should call att about?

Have also done a soft and hard reset but still the same.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a 3Gs model that after doing the update to IOS 5 and later versions, now just randomly switches from 3G to Edge network whenever I'm using random applications. It'll just shut off the 3G network, go without coverage, and then kick back into Edge network. After thinking about it for a couple of minutes, then the phone will randomly switch back to 3G.
Why is it that the new IOS 5 causes our 3G phones to run like a pile of fail? I find that I have to shut my phone off every other day to kill background applications to ensure that the processor doesn't get jammed up.

That is normal - 3g is the proper network that you should be connected to. The new HSPA+ network is technically a 3.5g network so the phone only shows 3g. Because everyone in the industry brands
HSPA+ as 4g - MTS (my provider) does the same. Is that typical across the industry? If so that's blatant deceit.

All I have under the "mobile networks" menu is: Mobil data, International Data Roaming, Access Point Names and Network operators. None of these including the "network mode".
If I try to find it in the search, it takes me straight to where is should be, but again, is not there.
