When I sync my iPhone, my recently added and my recently played wont sync to my phone. Why?

I just updated my BB and am now having email issues. It appears the update removed the "redirector" from my computer, so I am not receiving emails to my phone. Any help is greatly appreciated, as I can't find anything on the BB website to help.

Device Manager shows a device called MTP when I connect the phone (Should be Media Transfer Protocol). I tried using the Camera Mode (PTP) but this time it shows SAMSUNG_Android.

Now when I sync with outlook 2007 it sets all meeting times to start & finish at the same time on the phone. So apt created in outllook to start say 8am & finish 10am. Sync then puts it in phone calendar but set start AND finish to 8am. I rely on this so really need it fixed.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and every time it sync to my 2014 Honda Accord the volume sync and plays music at extremely low volume even on max. Compared to almost any other phone like my iphone 4s that sync the audio for my music no problem. I tried turning the media on and off and deleting the device completely off the bluetooth list and re-adding which still does not work. I am using mobilego and it sucks as it won’t let you sort the order of your music.

I have noticed that typically it will sync with Outlook when I check my emails first thing in the morning (say at 0700) but later in the day (say at 1300), it will still say 'last synced at 0700' and the only way I can get it to download my latest emails is to reboot my phone.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI had a GS5 and I was able to sync facebook contacts to my device contact list with ease. However, I can't do the same with my GS6 Edge. Going to accounts-> facebook, only shows my account with a gray "refresh" bar saying " sync turned off" and it gives me no option to turn it on. Master Sync is turned on, and Sync from the main pulldown bar is turned on as well. I'm getting ready to chuck this phone at the wall cuz Im so frustrated. This was not an Issue with my GS5.

BlackBerry had a central hub--one inbox--where my three personal email accounts, my work email account, my SMS messages, Facebook, Twitter, and other social media all appeared. All messages of any sort came to this central location. Is this possible with my Galaxy S6 Edge? So far, I have my personal email accounts in one box, my work email (we use Google Apps) in another, and my SMS in a third. I don't mind keeping social media out of this inbox, but it would be nice to get all the other incoming messages 'under one roof.' All accounts considered, I receive 100 messages a day on average. A central location for these would be nice. I've been told that what I want to do isn't possible on an Android device, but I hoped for a second opinion.

View 19 Replies View RelatedDon't suggest using the gmail app instead of the stock. I want to use the Samsung email native app and I have my reasons. Now, I have tried what seems like every way possible to get gmail working on the native app but I get emails hours late sometimes the next day. I am using the proper server setting per Google:
Incoming settings
IMAP server: imap.gmail.com
Port: 993
Security type: SSL (always)
Outgoing settings
SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 465
Security type: SSL (always)
In the app I have under sync schedule "Auto(when received)" and "notify me when email arrives" checked. The part that makes this worse is I can get it to work on non-stock apps like AquaMail using the SAME settings, but again, I want to use the native app.
Last night my fully charged S6 Edge was taken off the charger and left next to my bed. When I got up 7.5 hrs later I was very surprised to see that approx half my battery was gone and all due to the stock email sync. I have unlimited data and didn't bother changing the sync to longer intervals rather than push. I have obviously changed the sync interval.

Setup google account and again put the phone on wireless charger, after 10 mins of no activity send myself emails from different accounts from the PC and No email notifications at all with just Mobile Network only turned on. I tested this with wired charging and the result is the same.
Test condition:
1. Charge phone, wired or wireless, only turn on Mobile network, no wifi!!!
2. Leave the phone untouched and idle for 10+ mins
3. during this time no txt or phone calls otherwise it will reset the sleep flag
4. after 10+ mins of no activity send yourself emails from a desktop or another phone. You should in theory get notifications but I'm willing to be you will not.

Sometime in the last week, a post was made asking how to prevent an unwanted person from contacting her via SMS messaging. She can block his phone number directly, and/or just not answer "unknown caller" attempts. (could just direct those to a silent ring/disconnect)
I was browsing aimlessly thru the internet and just came across this blurb:

and this blurb: • Starting from Android 4.4, Google has revoked SMS/MMS permissions from developers. Due to that fact, LINE whoscall will not be able to block SMS/MMS for Android versions 4.4 and above. Call blocking feature is not affected.
If that is actually true, as of today we have no way to block unwanted SMS messages.
I was reading all of the info on different Caller ID apps to see if any of them are worthwhile.
All of a sudden, my wifi keeps switching between off and on every... 5-10 seconds. No recent downloads/changes, running KK 4.4.2 ....

The playlists include 'top 25 most played songs', 'recently played', and 'recently added'. Although they appear in iTunes even after syncing, they do not show on my iPhone and I can not use them (they aren't there). But they continue to show in the iTunes list for the device. This is frustrating because I often like to play my recently added list or top 25.

How do i assign a tone to a different tone to an individual contact email on S 6 Edge. I am able to do for all favourites. But if I need to set an alarm kind of tone for say my Boss only then how do i do. I could do it on My blackberry. Every time I sync my iPhone 4 it goes through the steps and says "Cancelling Sync" and a couple of the new albums I have recently downloaded will not go on to my iPhone. Although with my shuffle all these songs will go on with no problem. Do I need to restore my phone? When I put music on my phone I do it manually also by having the music checked on and off on my iTunes.
