Galaxy S5 :: Power Button Broken - Stuck In Recovery Mode
Nov 22, 2015
I recently rooted my samsung s5 to try and troubleshoot my power button not working, as when I restarted before root, it would work for a minute then stop. But after rooting i accidentally restarted my phone with a power manager app in recovery mode and now I can not connect to my phone via odin. Volume up/down to move highlight power button to select.
My iphone stock on recovery mode and i have broken lock buttun.i tried all the program that takes you out of recovery mode but nothing helped..the only way that i can get my iphone back is to put it in dfu mode but as i said i don't have lock button so i can't. how can i put my iphone on dfu without lock button?
home button went out first then power button ive seen and tried the videos on Internet.. some work for about a day then my home button goes back to not working... not sure what to do. my phones warrenty and what not is to no use..
I have not used my phone in any wrong way. I did not install a custom rom or anything. no root. randomly in my every day normal usage of my phone, it started to restart. and the the problem got worse and worse. for a few minutes, i will be able to use my phone but then my phone will restart and be stuck restarting. most of the times I can't even go into recovery mode. It restarts again when i get to that. I already resetted my phone, and I wiped the partition.
I have a samsung galaxy s6 SM-G920W8 telus/koodo 32 gb. i got the battery replaced by samsung but that didnt work. i noticed that after a few hours, my phone stops restarting when it reaches to 10% battery life.
My phone: 3gs, jailbroken on 3.1.2 with bootrom 5.11.07 using pwnagetool 3.1.4. Itunes is at 9.1.Basically I'm stuck in recovery mode and I can't restore my phone. I get error messages in itunes everytime.
It started when I mistakenly updated itunes to 9.1. My phone wasn't being recognized to sync. So I thought why not erase all content on the phone itself? Stupid me didn't research it and didn't know I wasn't supposed to do that.
After the erase, my phone was in a constant cycle of rebooting (with the pineapple logo) and it wasn't being recognized on itunes. So I put it in recovery mode and tried restoring my custom ipsw and it won't. Tried restoring to factory settings in itunes and it won't.
Is the phone bricked? Is there anything I can do? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've researched for a couple of days and nothing seems to work.
I had less than 7% of battery and I went into Ultra Power Saving Mode where I got only notification upper tab and blank screen below. I reboot my phone but stuck on Samsung logo. How to fix this?
Tried wipe cache in recovery mode and charging phone up to 100% but no luck, still stuck on Samsung logo.
Phone is international S6, not rooted, official. Any options except hard reset?
Yesterday, 9-2-14, my iPhone 4 unexpectedly powered off when it still had 50% charge. The lock/power button has already been broken for about 5 or 6 months and the screen is cracked. It was working for months even after these things had been wrong with it. I don't know how to turn it back on.
i think its a hardware problem. i have to squeeze the button hard to get it to work. and even still, sometimes it wont work at all. is there a fix i can do for this? i don't want to return it. everything else is fine. I'm afraid to take the top cover off without good directions. can anyone help?
When I lock my SGS II i would expect all the buttons to lock! However the power button function remain active and its far too easy to accidently power off my phone or set it into flight mode.Does anyone know how to disable this "feature" ??
When loading iTunes this morning an update that I had been putting off popped up and I figured since I was going to be in the house for a while I'd finally do it. An error took place that I foolishly ignored and made no note of.
My iPhone is now stuck in Recovery mode (I assume so anyway, after having googles my problem for hours), iTunes tells me I need to restore the phone and so I click to allow it to. It then gets to the "Preparing iPhone for restore" and just sits there, doing nothing.
After my daughter dropped my phone on the floor (surprisingly the screen didn't crack), the screen went black and I could not turn the phone back on. This was not the first time that this happened to me and I fixed it by plugging it in to my car charger. I tried that this time and it did come back on but the place where my signal strength bars should be said 'searching'. After a short while, a message came up saying that my phone needed to be restored and to connect it to iTunes.
My phone would not come on unless it was plugged into a charger, other than that the screen was black (and still does that). The apple screen will show and then the usb cord connecting to iTunes symbol comes up and it will go passed that screen.
I connected to iTunes, and found out that my phone was in recovery mode and needed to be restored. I tried to restore several times and the same thing happens. iTunes will begin the process (extracting files first) after that part is complete and iTunes starts the next step of preparing the phone for restoring, my phone will go black as if it shut off and then the apple screen comes on and then the usb cord connecting to iTunes shows up and then iTunes delivers the error21 code. I've tried pressing the home button and lock button at the same time for seconds and then holding the home button blah blah but it does me no good because I can't get my phone to do anything unless its connected to a charger or the computer.
My phone has been stuck for two weeks. I am not covered by Apple therefore they won't do anything, but sell me a brand new phone. If I could afford one, I would bypass them and just upgrade. Unfortunately, I am not capable at this time. I have tried everything provided by the "help" on iTunes. I get ERROR CODE: 21 every time it goes to try to recover. I tried doing everything it said to help fix this error, but nothing works.
Hi, my recently purchased iPhone 4 is stuck in recovery mode. I tried to restore it using iTunes on my Mac, but it keeps saying "unknown error -1" and is still stuck in recovery mode.
Well my phone is stuck on recovery mode and I tried restoring it but it keep on ending up with error 1611. I tried everything I could online I search everything and tried almost everything none turned out to work . I have a iphone 4gs on ios5.
My iphone 4s is stuck in recovery mode, I've already upgraded to 5.1.1 software and I'm trying to exit the recovery mode, while restoring I'm receiving error (1)
my iphone 4s had an update under settings so i did and now its stuck in recovery mode. In itunes it says i have to restore, but will i get back all of my contacts, pics, apps, etc? will it give the option to get them back?
My iphone 4 is stuck in recovery mode. I was trying to update via iTunes and when I came back the iphone had the picture of the iTunes logo and the cable and the computer stated iphone stuck in recovery mode must restore. I don't want to restore as I will lose everything. Everywhere I read it says you have to power off then hold this button etc etc.the problem is I cant power off to do this?
The sleep button is broken for a while and last night I was updating my iOS and when it was restarting it got stuck at the Apple logo. I can't force my iphone to turn off so I can't do the restore steps. What should I do?
So my problem started yesterday when my phone got wet, not fell on water but water fell on it. I opened it up and dried it up, but when i connected it it wouldnt turn back on. So this morning i tried turning it on and it did.So my problem is that the phone is stuck in recovery mode, before that it just got stuck in the apple logo till i tried restoring it.
Itunes gives me error 6 and sometimes 13.i dont care what i have to do i just want my phone to work, i have att so i dont care about the baseband.
I've got a 3GS which was 3.1.3. I had to restore because a few apps wouldnt load properly. When I restore and it finishes it comes up with the itunes & cable screen and iTunes says its in recovery mode (error 1015) and i must restore it - again.I've tried a couple of things including irecovery but my PC is a win7 64bit system and it kind of killed off all my USB ports. I've tried on a Vista Machine and also tried on iTunes 9.1 and the new Beta.
Will Apple sort it out? Will they send it off or replace it if they cant get it working again? It's only got a few days left on the warranty
I have a 3GS running 3.1.2 and BB 05.11.07. I believe my phone is stuck in recovery mode. It's black and has the Apple logo on it. Is there a way I can fix this issue without restoring the phone? I don't want to install 3.1.3
I got my iphone 4 updated to ios 5 months ago and it was successful. However, i was updating my software to ios 5.1 using the phone itself and it went into recovery mode after that. The moment before updating it was fine and now it stuck in recovery mode, showing the itunes logo and usb cable.
I connected my phone to the itunes on my laptop and it shows that my iphone is in recovery mode and must be restored. I've tried restoring it but after the restoration cycle was done, it pop up a window saying there's an error (1) occuring and my iphone was unable to be restored.
Info:iPhone 4, iOS 5.1, update and recovery failed
Yesterday my sister told me she had a problem with her iPhone. She was on 5.1.0 and updated OTA to 5.1.1. When the update was done, her iPhone rebooted and displayed the 'connect to iTunes' screen. She gives it to me, I do what I can and after several restores the only thing that shows up after a restore is the 'connect to iTunes' screen. In iTunes, it says it's in recovery mode and needs restoring....again.
I started to upgrade my ios today. Next time I pulled my phone out it wouldn't respond. After holding the home screen the connect to iTunes image popped up and wouldn't go away. When I got home and connected, I was told to restore. I did so, and after the thirty-minute software update, it was now returned to the connect to iTunes screen and is giving me the same message upon connecting to iTunes.
My iPhone 4 got wet and when plugged in it displays plug into itunes but when I do it doesn't recognize it. The computer aknowleges that I plug it in because it installed the driver but itunes and tinyumbrella do not so I can't get it out of recovery mode with either nor with the button combo. Any idea why it won't work or have a way to fix it?
