My iphone 4s keeps going into recovery mode then I restore it, then it works fine for a day then next morning it gets back into recovery mode. The same behaviour repeated more than four times now, and I am tired of restoring it
I tried to upgrade the iphone to ios 5.1.1 when the download was complete, phone went to recovery mode and the upgrade process failed, the phone never came back to normal mode.
I have an iPhone four for Xmas and its working fine it just goes into recovery mode on rs own as luckily it can be restarted without connecting to iTunes, it's just really annoying having to do this every 2 minutes
My Iphone 4s keeps going into recovery mode. The first time it happened my phone kept shutting on and off again. Then went into Recovery mode. I reset it back to factory settings and it continued to do this. It's happened about 6 or 7 times in the past 2 days. Sometimes I just try turning it back on and it works.I dont know what to do. Its updated, but it keeps going into recovery mode.
I went to update my iphone 4s to the new software 5.1.1 update and my laptop froze during the update and I was forced to unplug the device. It is now in recovery mode and I need to get it out without restoring factory settings.
How can i get my iphone 4 to work after recent update when I get this message' itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode . you must restore this iphone before it can be used with itunes.' i have a itunes logo and usb display on screen and nothing else.I have tried holding down down power switch and control switch for 15 seconds, but just get apple sign then same as before. i'm sure i'm not the only one with this problem i updated it whilst connected to itunes . I am running with microsoft securuity essentials and poss the firewall may have stopped the update.
This afternoon I picked up my iPhone 4 to check the time, and the screen was black. I took it inside and hooked it up to my MacBook, and nothing happened, then all of a sudden, it went in to recovery mode. When I got the phone last week, I had to get it out of recovery mode, and had no problem. I've been getting errors 2001 and 2006. I've tried all of the troubleshooting tips online, and nothing is helping. I've tried three different usb cables, in both usb ports. I've also tried using a different computer, and nothing is working.
I connect to iTunes but then I get an error message that my phone is in recovery mode (it was fine before I connected it to iTunes!). If I click "recovery" will I lose all my photos and texts that have not been synced?
I have had 3 iPhone 5s in the past week. The nearest Apple store is 2 hours away from my house.I have AppleCare+ so my phone is still under warranty, but being without a phone for several days (3-5 business days) wouldn't work as my phone is my lifeline. My phone keeps crashing and then going into recovery mode randomly and won't restore. The screen will go blue and then reboot. I have tried setting the phone up as a new iPhone at least 5 times today alone and the issue is still occurring. When the phone attempts to reboot, the screen will have vertical black and white stripes.Â
My iphone 5s battery recetlenty died and I only charged it the next day. When I plugged it in, it showed the usual battery that is empty and red. I did'nt realize a problem until the screen turned white with que black apple on it. After that showed up, the screen just became black and I was unable to use my phone. I let it on the charger for a few hours and nothing changed. I then decided to plug it into my laptop. Once it appeared in itunes, something popped up saying that my iphone was on recovery mode. I'm not sure how to take it out of this mode, or even if it is possible. It told me to restore my iphone. Its has been doing an update for the past 2hrs.
I just bought a used iphone 2g of ebay. When I first got it, I could use all the iPod features without my sim card in.I then put my sim card in and it didnt work so I jailbroke it using PWNED i think. Now it would accept my sim card, but it showed only one little bar of service and it wouldnt place or recieve calls.I was stupid and I then clicked restore in itunes to see if that would make my service work.I have an at&t 3g sim card by the way, but I am using it w/o data plan. My problem is now it wont exit recovery mode. All I see is the screen with the itunes logo and the cable being plugged into it. All I can do it slide the bar to make an emergency call, I cant even use the iPod features. There is a little lock icon above the picture and it stills shows that tiny bar of service. What can I do to fix this? I have tried redsnow and pwned so many times now and it just all goes back to this screen. My goal is to be able to put my at&t 3g sim card in and use the phone and i will deactivate data.
My week old iphone 4 has been working perfectly for about 6 days and then last night I picked it up and pressed the home key and nothing. So I plugged it into my mac and it says it is in recovery mode and needs to be restored with newer operating system. Tried the restore and got an error 1600. Then held the on key and it turned on and was completely back to normal. Same thing again this morning, pressed home key and nothing. This time I got the restore to work and updated the software to the 4.1 version ( with the new bars) and everything seems to be OK for now.I have not put anything on the iphone but music and apps from itunes. I don't jailbreak or anything like that.
I was having some weird problems with my iphone 4 today, main my text messaging was weird, everytime i tried to hit the send button to send a text it would send me back to the home screen. Now this didn't happen all day, it just started happening out of no where. So i did a reset on the phone (where i held the lock and home key at the same time). And when I went to turn the phone back on it comes to a screen showing i need to connect to itunes, so I did and it says its in recovery mode and that I need to recover before doing anything in itunes. So i do that and it starts doing the update and recovery, and it starts downloading os 4.0.2, but the thing is it is always timing out!!
When loading iTunes this morning an update that I had been putting off popped up and I figured since I was going to be in the house for a while I'd finally do it. An error took place that I foolishly ignored and made no note of.
My iPhone is now stuck in Recovery mode (I assume so anyway, after having googles my problem for hours), iTunes tells me I need to restore the phone and so I click to allow it to. It then gets to the "Preparing iPhone for restore" and just sits there, doing nothing.
Since a few days ago my iphone just randomly keeps going into recovery mode! Its not jailbroken its not anything! its just a iphone I bought updated in iTunes normally I dont understand why this is happening! I had loads of issues restoreing it at first it would not work error -1 came up in iTunes and then all of a sudden it booted as a new iphone. I thought great I got it working again but now if I turn my iPhone off it goes into recovery mode or just randomly it will go into revocery mode and tell me I need to activate my phone.
It just gets to the end of the process and comes up with an error "The iPhone cannot be restored. An unknown error occured (1015)" what do i do about this ?
I Have iPhone 4S and it is on a recovery mode i cant exit from recovery mode .. when i update from itunes i cant .. because error 14 and error 26 what can i do ?
My 5 month old iPhone 4S began to go into recovery mode for no apprent reason 10 days ago. I restored it and then it did it again 2 days later - both times it was charging via wall socket. The phone had never been wet, and never dropped. I took it in to apple who promptly said I hadn't done anything wrong and gave me a new phone. I restore it from my iTunes restore point and now, low and behold, 1 week later - it's doing it again, except this time it wasn't even charging. It was sitting on a table and then....boom. Recovery mode which you can't get out of, even using the hold-the-2-buttons trick and its variations ...I've tried them all. It had been restarting all week for no reason and taking a long time for the apple-logo to disappear and OS to start.
