I have the international galaxy s6. SM-g920I. I have rooted it already, then I tried flashing a recovery. Now it is stuck in the Samsung logo. I can still go to the download mode. What to do. And if I need to download the firmware file, can you tell me what the baseband is? This is urgent. I can enter download mode, but not recovery. Only have access to Odin mode right now.

Message to Sony: if you didn't load up the phone with a huge pile of bloatware I don't want I wouldn't need to root the phone, and thus run the risk of bricking it.
I bought my xperia z3 a few months ago and I decided I want to root it. I got as far as unlocking the bootloader but now that I need to put it into recovery mode I found out I can't. I have tried multiple methods, the power off then power on while pressing the volume bottons and other variations of that. I also tried usind android-sdk the "adb reboot recovery", and it took awhile to figure that out and once i got it to work all it did was reboot the device. It did not go into reovery mode, I don't get an LED light when i power the phone on like most of the guides say I should be getting. I'm getting really frustrated, I've searched far and wide on the internet for a similar problem and all of the instances i have found have been on rooted phones so the fix is easy, this phone has never been rooted, only the bootloader has been unlocked.

And my question is can I downgrade it to KitKat without rooting my phone??? When I used Sony Emma software to connect my phone with PC it showed that your phone is locked and to enable the functions you have to unlock your phone....

I tried to use an app on the google play store with positive reviews (app is called (D855) LG G3 AutoRec-Lollipop), after I rooted the phone I used this app and it turned off my phone and now it won't even power up.

When I tried to swap it today, nothing from their stocks worked but the demo unit worked, but they wouldn't swap it with mine. I understand that it might be a huge problem for me if i cannot get into download/recovery mode right? Seems to me that the early batches can do this but the new batches cannot. Bell must have done something. But what exactly they have done? Is this software related that Bell did to disable this? Is there no chance at all to flash the device to re-enable it back?

I've tried reinstalling the rom via LG mobile support tool, but the software does not even detect the nexus, but in device manager is identified and the driver installed correctly .. I do not know what to do ..

So i recently switched to a new rom from my previous rooted one. Unfortunatly, i forgot to enable developer debugging or oem unlock in developer options before i restarted, so now my phone is in a boot loop. It wont go into recovery mode, or boot into the system. I can only go into download mode. My knox is tripped, and it shows frp lock. So far i tried flashing the stock 5.1.1 firmware using odin, and it fails on nand write. Tried flashing a new bl and cp, but frp blocks it.

Seems to be when i was trying to flash the original firmware, i got an old one, F6, when the correct one is F8. Went through with odin and seems like everything is back on track!

Everything works flawlessly but the phone seems to be unable to enter in deep sleep mode. I have already cleaned my cache from stock recovery without success.
I got the S6 Edge from t-mobile (g925st). I believe the OS crashed, the phone won't boot up. If I turn it on it will display the Samsung galaxy s6 edge logo and reboot again. I tried to go into recovery mode but it just reboots itself. The only mode I can go into is download mode.

I have tried everything from removing battery, removing SD CARD, SIM CARD, connecting to charger, connecting to USB cable on my laptop, holding volume up, home, and power button. My biggest fear is losing all my data. I have 100's of photos of my 3 month old newborn on my phone memory because I was running low on my SD CARD. I can't fathom losing all her newborn pictures.
I have not used my phone in any wrong way. I did not install a custom rom or anything. no root. randomly in my every day normal usage of my phone, it started to restart. and the the problem got worse and worse. for a few minutes, i will be able to use my phone but then my phone will restart and be stuck restarting. most of the times I can't even go into recovery mode. It restarts again when i get to that. I already resetted my phone, and I wiped the partition.
I have a samsung galaxy s6 SM-G920W8 telus/koodo 32 gb. i got the battery replaced by samsung but that didnt work. i noticed that after a few hours, my phone stops restarting when it reaches to 10% battery life.
I recently rooted my samsung s5 to try and troubleshoot my power button not working, as when I restarted before root, it would work for a minute then stop. But after rooting i accidentally restarted my phone with a power manager app in recovery mode and now I can not connect to my phone via odin. Volume up/down to move highlight power button to select.

I've done full Factory Resets twice now and also many cache wipes but I'm wondering if that original T-Mobile update on the first day got hung up and won't fix itself even with Factory Resets. I have a Galaxy S6 that I purchased off Ebay and on the back of the phone, the model is SM-G920i but in the settings of the phone, the model number is SM-G920F. I want to get this back to original stock firmware based on the G920i. The only problem is that I cannot get into Download Mode to be able to use Odin. I have tried all of the hardware combinations and the only thing is does is take me to a Factory Mode, where the options are Auto Test, Manual Test, Item Test, Test Report, Debug Test, Clear eMMC, Version, and Reboot.

Dropped S6 in water, turned off and left in rice bag for 2 weeks.
Tried to turn on today and it only boots to download mode, everything else just reboots the phone. Also it will only turn on when connected to USB so i'm guessing the battery is dead also.
My main concern is I have photos that I really want to try and recover and yes I know I know, always have a backup, as a desktop technician I really should have had that setup on my phone but here we are.
So my main target is to somehow get into recovery mode and then use ADB to pull files from the phone.
I've tried to flash many different recovery files but they always fail in Odin v3.10.7, log for Odin is:

S6 stuck in download mode. I tried to unroot and flash the old stock software. It's now stuck on a screen that says to use emergency recovery or I can get it to go to download mode. When I open up Odin I don't see the blue section where the driver should be.

Anyway, I today tried to install the 6.0.1 compatible TWRP Recovery on my Galaxy S6 920F and made several mistakes in the process using Odin 3.10.7 on my Windows PC (flashed a wrong file in AP, it was an .img and not a tar.md5). Now I'm still in the Download Mode and can't exit it at all. I tried the Home Button + Vol Up + Vol Down like 1000 times, but it still won't work. It really seems to be stuck. Odin finds the device, but when I try to re-flash the recovery the right way (at least I hope it is), it tries to establish a connection before flashing and after that it's stuck, too.

What can I do? Is there a way to bring this device back to life?

so just like the title states, i cannot activate my iphone. i am in canada and bought it on ebay. it is a 3g, and the seller said it was jailbroken on ios4. however, i am stuck on the 'connect to itunes' screen. when i connect it to itunes with my sim card in, it tells me that the sim is not supported.

View 23 Replies View RelatedI just switched from a Storm 2 to the Torch 9810. My Torch will not enter landscape mode or even move from the portrait mode, so basically the accelerometer seems inop. I have pulled the battery and it will work for a few hours but then it stops again. I am trying to avoid pulling the battery every 8 hours. I have read online that the problem might be related to my transferring some old BB 5 settings to my new phone but don't know how to undo this.
