IPhone :: Why Can't Enter Field Test Mode On IP 4?
Jun 24, 2010
I've tried to do the field test mode by typing *3001#12345#* but when I hit call it doesn't do anything.Does anyone know how to enter field test mode on the new iPhone 4?
how to get telus milestone in field test mode?i want to see what frequencies the cell towers i'm connected to are broadcasting at. 850 or 1900 or both?
I can get a 4G signal rarely in home. At work and mobile I am usually 4G.I expect to be on 4G for a few years (5G anytime soon?) and was thinking of spending $$$ on a Wilson repeater to pick up 4G with a directional antenna and amplifier for home: url...I am a licensed Amateur Radio operator and the principals involved seemed sound to me.Also, does anyone know how to put the Bionic into Field Test Mode?
I have just received an HTC Ozone VX6175 and would like to know if it is possible to enable field test menu to set HDR preference to 1x only. I don't do much web browsing and would like to keep EVDO off until necessary. Been trying to find a way for hours now
Earlier today I was able to unlock the screen but the passcode screen was shrunk to the bottom left corner and I was left unable to enter the numbers for the passcode.
My name is Conrad Cuatjar and I looking out for engineering software called Field Test (previously known as Net Monitor) for nokia phones 5800, for N Series, E Series. Can you please help me out to find the way to have this software so as install in mymobile phone.
I'm adding a new address to my address book but it won't let me enter any letters in the zip/postal code field. How do I correct this? It will accept the number keys but any letter key is disabled and doesn't do anything. I'm on the Telus network.
so just like the title states, i cannot activate my iphone. i am in canada and bought it on ebay. it is a 3g, and the seller said it was jailbroken on ios4. however, i am stuck on the 'connect to itunes' screen. when i connect it to itunes with my sim card in, it tells me that the sim is not supported.
i tried using redsnow to jailbreak/hacktivate, but i cannot get into dfu mode. i have gotten into dfu mode on other iphones, but cannot seem to get there on this phone. i have googled and Internetd, but cant seem to find anything that helps me.
I just got my device back from the repair depot. I sent it in b/c I cant charge my battery. Everything else worked great on the device. I was told that it was out of warrenty and it was sent back. (Not a problem, I have a broken screen 9800 that I was using to charge my battery in the first place)When I got my device back, it is stuck on a white screen that gives me an option on testing the camera, LED, FLASH, etc.. But it does not give me the option of exiting or anything. When I plug it into Desktop Manager, I get that it doesnt connect and gives the options of retry or upgrade. So I go and press update, it connects and starts working. It gets upto the JVM and then it states that it can not connect to the device. What can I do here? It was fine (software wise) before I sent it off and the depot screwed it up!!! What steps can I take into getting my Torch back to where it was?
As the title suggests, this started happening from the moment i started using the "Email" feature in my phone. Even though I have successfully removed it (I don't have a fixed data plan), while writing SMS's the "To" field switches to "abc" mode, as opposed by the normal "123" mode. And no matter how much I press the arrow button to change it, the moment I close messages and open it again, it reverts back to "abc" mode.
I've done a good deal of testing with the 1020. Shown is a resolution test with the 1020 in DNG mode. I judge the resolution at 100 LP/mm ( 35mm equivalent ). For comparison, my 14MP Sigma only makes it to about 50. My friends 20MP Canon earns about 65. 35mm color print film maxes out at about 85 and Tech Pan, 120. I use my 1020 in JEPG mode which yields about 90 but is considerably faster and less noisy than DNG mode. All these tests are " apples to apples ". In other words, the test chart fits the frame on all devices.
There seems to be an inconsistency in safe mode working on the Droid Bionic using the technique as described by Verizon. If any of you have the opportunity to test the safe mode procedure, please go here and report back as to whether safe mode works on your phone.
how to enter recovery mode on the Xperia Neo L? I would like to know how to do this before commencing the rooting process.
Message to Sony: if you didn't load up the phone with a huge pile of bloatware I don't want I wouldn't need to root the phone, and thus run the risk of bricking it.
I just switched from a Storm 2 to the Torch 9810. My Torch will not enter landscape mode or even move from the portrait mode, so basically the accelerometer seems inop. I have pulled the battery and it will work for a few hours but then it stops again. I am trying to avoid pulling the battery every 8 hours. I have read online that the problem might be related to my transferring some old BB 5 settings to my new phone but don't know how to undo this.
I have the international galaxy s6. SM-g920I. I have rooted it already, then I tried flashing a recovery. Now it is stuck in the Samsung logo. I can still go to the download mode. What to do. And if I need to download the firmware file, can you tell me what the baseband is? This is urgent. I can enter download mode, but not recovery. Only have access to Odin mode right now.

I bought my xperia z3 a few months ago and I decided I want to root it. I got as far as unlocking the bootloader but now that I need to put it into recovery mode I found out I can't. I have tried multiple methods, the power off then power on while pressing the volume bottons and other variations of that. I also tried usind android-sdk the "adb reboot recovery", and it took awhile to figure that out and once i got it to work all it did was reboot the device. It did not go into reovery mode, I don't get an LED light when i power the phone on like most of the guides say I should be getting. I'm getting really frustrated, I've searched far and wide on the internet for a similar problem and all of the instances i have found have been on rooted phones so the fix is easy, this phone has never been rooted, only the bootloader has been unlocked.
Is there a way to page up / page down when viewing text messages or emails? I'm tired of hitting the arrow key many times. Is there an enter key? When composing an email via gmail's mobile interface, hitting the down arrow tabs me to the send button, not to the next line in the body of the email. Is there a way to move from viewing one text message to the next text message without exiting the current text message? Is there a way to enter keyguard mode during a call so I can put the phone in my pocket while talking on bluetooth?
I upgraded my Z3 dual using PC companian and I am getting worst of worst battery life which lasts hardly 8 hours with a average 2 hours on screen by using only one sim....Don't recommend me to turn off my mobile data, live wallpaper etc etc...I don't need two days of back up as advertise, I only need atleast one day...
And my question is can I downgrade it to KitKat without rooting my phone??? When I used Sony Emma software to connect my phone with PC it showed that your phone is locked and to enable the functions you have to unlock your phone....
And the other doubt is how can I enter into recovery mode to hard reset my phone??? I tried with a lot of button combinations and all are resulted in normal boot up..And tell me any othere ways to regain my battery back up without downgrading if there is any ( even I don't think so )
I just grabbed a SGS6 on 5.0.2 stock Samsung rom which i rooted with PingPong root method to avoid tripping my knox.
Everything works flawlessly but the phone seems to be unable to enter in deep sleep mode. I have already cleaned my cache from stock recovery without success.
I notice that my motoactv just eats battery when im not using it. My workaround is to power it off so i dont have to constantly have it charging and so its ready when i need it. Is there a setting coming or present that will allow the motoactv to enter deep sleep mode after x amount of inactivity and then to only be awakened by button presses?
so I have the maps loaded onto my phone, but when I use the Directions (like sat nav) mode it quits after 30 secs with the message 'Enter Shop' or something like that? I am using the service offline - if that makes any difference?
(1) When connecting to wall-charger at night, device does not automatically enter bedside mode, even though specified in settings. When manually entering bedside mode, the screen goes black after several seconds; unplugging the device reveals that the device is in bedside mode, but isn't known because of black screen.(2) When connecting to USB-charger to my PC, the phone enters bedside mode and stays in bedside mode like it should.Device info9550Verizonv5.0.0.1015 (Bundle 1656, Platform 4.2.0.442)Apps and free spaceFile free before battery remove/replace: 116765295 Bytes File free after battery remove/replace: 118299711 BytesDid a battery pull fix your issue
Probably the best way to test the real time 3G connection on your iPhone is with a ping tool. The one I used is a free app called Network Ping Lite.Download the tool and turn off WIFI. Open it up and choose the Ping utility. Enter an ip (you can use 208.67.222.222), scroll down to turn on "Ping forever" and then hit Start.
Watch to see if you get a response and note the time in "ms". Then do whatever you think might affect the connection. If the times go up or if it stops responding you've affected the connection.
Mine will sometimes start dropping pings almost immediately after putting the lower left corner of the phone in my palm. This is what happens in the screenshot below. FWIW, this doesn't bother me, I just hold the phone a different way.
