View 10 Repliesgot a problem when making calls... When hitting dial button display goes to sleep and can't be reactivated till other party ends call.Strangely this does not happen during hands free mode in the car.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just grabbed a SGS6 on 5.0.2 stock Samsung rom which i rooted with PingPong root method to avoid tripping my knox.
Everything works flawlessly but the phone seems to be unable to enter in deep sleep mode. I have already cleaned my cache from stock recovery without success.
I notice that my motoactv just eats battery when im not using it. My workaround is to power it off so i dont have to constantly have it charging and so its ready when i need it. Is there a setting coming or present that will allow the motoactv to enter deep sleep mode after x amount of inactivity and then to only be awakened by button presses?

View 8 Replies View Relatedhow to enter recovery mode on the Xperia Neo L? I would like to know how to do this before commencing the rooting process.
Message to Sony: if you didn't load up the phone with a huge pile of bloatware I don't want I wouldn't need to root the phone, and thus run the risk of bricking it.
When my phone is in sleep mode, I do not receive calls or text. I have a unlocked Z3 (model D6603). I have tested the problem with stamina mode on and off. No difference. In my testing, the phone works 100% of the time when awake, but when sleeping, in the same location, the calls are never received. I asked sony about this, and as always, they suggest run through pc repair, which won't work on unlocked phone. This wont work on unlocked phone. I have done factory resets and it has not worked.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI bought my xperia z3 a few months ago and I decided I want to root it. I got as far as unlocking the bootloader but now that I need to put it into recovery mode I found out I can't. I have tried multiple methods, the power off then power on while pressing the volume bottons and other variations of that. I also tried usind android-sdk the "adb reboot recovery", and it took awhile to figure that out and once i got it to work all it did was reboot the device. It did not go into reovery mode, I don't get an LED light when i power the phone on like most of the guides say I should be getting. I'm getting really frustrated, I've searched far and wide on the internet for a similar problem and all of the instances i have found have been on rooted phones so the fix is easy, this phone has never been rooted, only the bootloader has been unlocked.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that LED notification for SMS, email, and... is only working when the phone is in sleep mode, its not functioning when the display is on. It is to say I'm in android 2.1, and had no problems in 1.6.
View 2 Replies View Relatedi have bought my x10 mini and i am update it from android 1.6 to android 2.1 by myself using sony PC companion. yes , i am able to install it in about 1 hour , i have notice that the battery consumption after the update is terrible, battery would not recover although the screen is turn off , battery temperature is about 34 deg celcius.I am then turn off all the data transfer , wifi , GPS, background process , kill all the running app application and measure the battery consumption rate !!! it give me 20 minute/percent of battery which is very not desired ! For "my" X10 mini SE 2.1 update ecleair got bug on CPU management, it run continously without going to sleep mode!
View 5 Replies View RelatedI upgraded my Z3 dual using PC companian and I am getting worst of worst battery life which lasts hardly 8 hours with a average 2 hours on screen by using only one sim....Don't recommend me to turn off my mobile data, live wallpaper etc etc...I don't need two days of back up as advertise, I only need atleast one day...
And my question is can I downgrade it to KitKat without rooting my phone??? When I used Sony Emma software to connect my phone with PC it showed that your phone is locked and to enable the functions you have to unlock your phone....
And the other doubt is how can I enter into recovery mode to hard reset my phone??? I tried with a lot of button combinations and all are resulted in normal boot up..And tell me any othere ways to regain my battery back up without downgrading if there is any ( even I don't think so )
I'd like to readress this issue as it hasn't been resolved yet. After returning fromm sleep mode the pressure sensor needs at least two activations from apps that use the sensor. When running my self-written app, the sensor at first doesn't respond at all, only after activating any other app. Interestingly enough, when doing repeated calls to the sensor, it starts responding the very moment it returns back TO sleep mode...

View 6 Replies View RelatedSince the whole 2.0 update, I have been having problems when it comes to getting my Playbook out of sleep mode. When I swipe the screen to wake it up, the backlight comes on, and a bunch of grey lines are displayed. The same thing happens if I use the power button to wake it up. Sometimes it will display everything but will be a negative (what should be dark is light and visa versa). I either have to reboot the playbook, or keep putting it back to sleep and waking it up over and over again until it finally works.

so just like the title states, i cannot activate my iphone. i am in canada and bought it on ebay. it is a 3g, and the seller said it was jailbroken on ios4. however, i am stuck on the 'connect to itunes' screen. when i connect it to itunes with my sim card in, it tells me that the sim is not supported.
i tried using redsnow to jailbreak/hacktivate, but i cannot get into dfu mode. i have gotten into dfu mode on other iphones, but cannot seem to get there on this phone. i have googled and Internetd, but cant seem to find anything that helps me.
I bought yesterday a Nokia X2-00 and been exploring it for a while, so far so good, pretty happy and satisfied with it, but there's a problem that bothers and I can't seem to find a solution for it. About the screen-saver, I can, for example, put it as a digital clock, and set a timer for when the phone to switch to screen-saver mode. Problem is, I don't seem to find anywhere an option to play with the sleep mode - no matter what, about 10 seconds after the screen saver goes active, the screen goes totally black (goes into sleep mode) and I need to press a button to wake it up. No digital clock display, no nothing.I need to be able to see the clock (and possibly an icon for missed calls/new texts) without having to touch a button. On all my old phones you could play with both screen saver/power saving/sleep mode options, but not here. What can I do?
View 5 Replies View RelatedOk, so this is probably the worst combination of things to occur. If you don't care about reading the story I'm looking for a way to put my phone into DFU mode without the sleep/wake button. If there is a way to do this please let me know - if you want to know why I need to do this, read below... Thanks.
Last week my sleep wake button mysteriously stopped working. For a time it would work with every 5th or 6th press, but now it doesn't work at all. So for the past week I've had to forgo the use of the sleep/wake button, which means that when I'm done using my phone I had to put it into my pocket and hope I didn't hit anything until it shut itself off.
It's been manageable, but I have dreaded the day that my iPhone froze or anything, because I have effectively no way to restart the the device. Turns out that day was this evening - it froze while I was in Gmail, and I was unable to do anything. Home button was non-responsive - basically the whole OS locked up. Now obviously if I had a working sleep/wake button I could have probably held down both that and the home screen and forced the iPhone to restart - clearly I don't have that option in this case...
Worse yet, I decided to try to fix my sleep/wake button, so I took my phone apart. I wasn't able to really figure out what was going on with the sleep/wake button, and while I had the case cracked open it died. Once I got everything plugged in again, the phone turned back on, and sat at the Apple logo screen for a long time, after which it superimposed a spinning wheel over top of the logo. Truth be told, I don't think that disconnecting the screen had anything to do with the spinning wheel, I think it's a result of the OS completely locking up (the likes of which I've never seen the iPhone do before... so something in the OS must have become corrupted... at least that's my theory anyway).
It has been/continues to be stuck in this loop. I'm not sure whether letting the device die and naturally resetting itself will do the trick. I'm leaning towards the idea that it probably won't help the situation. I have not yet tried to do a restore, because I'm worried that it won't work, and then I'll lose my backup as well.
So yah... does anyone know how to force the iPhone into DFU mode without the sleep/wake button?
I've been using my Torch for 6 months now, and it has been working fine with the Holster (its a flip case) Everytime I close, it will auto go to sleep mode. However, since last week, the phone doesn't go to sleep when I close the flip case. I think it doesnt detect the magnet anymore. I check the Holster and the magnet is still there. I use another magnet to run it over the Torch but the phone just doesn't go to sleep mode. I've pulled the battery out and even tried with other casing, it just doesn't work anymore.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI got my Milestone up on Bell's network and configured it all day. Lot's of notifications of email, SMS etc. Now I want to sleep, but need the phone to still ring and SMS to notify me, as I need those for work. Any way I can selectively mute some notifications and not others depending on what time it is? I couldn't find any apps that did this, but there's quite a few.
