HTC One M7 :: WiFi Turns Itself On When Phone In Sleep Mode
Mar 8, 2014My Wi-Fi always turns itself on when the phone is 'asleep'. Here is a screenshot of my Wi-Fi settings. I can't figure out how to not make it turn on like that.

View 2 RepliesIhave all day wifi open but when my lumia goes in sleep mode the wifi turns automatic off and need to unsleep to take notifications and more and then again in sleep mode and wifi off. I am with new update .12070.
View 8 Replies View Related"keep wifi on during sleep" is set to "only when plugged in" - it worked like a charm in lollipop (it switched off wifi after some seconds of disactivity), it doesn't now.
In lollipop after some seconds of inactivity wifi was turned off, that was proper behavior I guess... It is not working in Marshmallow.
I can connect to my home wifi fine and it has great signal but the phone keeps disconnecting when it sleeps and never reconnects. The wifi network has a password and everytime it makes me enter it. is there away it can remember this password so that it automatically connects? and is there a way to stop it disconnecting maybe an app?

I have a samsung galaxy s6, and the battery is draining rapidly because for one, the light will not stay off on the home screen, it keeps coming back on and off. this is my second phone now in two months.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe phone does not go into sleep mode after 1 minute. After using the phone for 20 or 30 minutes, does not go into sleep mode, showing the home screen forever.
View 3 Replies View Relatedmy phone arrived yesterday (replacement for my original which went the way of the dodo) and the damn thing wont stay asleep, regardless of actively making it or it doing it of its own accord it will not. the thing will light up like a christmas tree within seconds of it fading to black then will continue this cycle until the battery dies. only thing on the phone is ice cream sandwich which was installed in a hope that it might fix the issue (was happening from the moment i turned the thing on.)
View 8 Replies View Relatedis there a way to reboot the storm2? with my old curve you just presses 3 keys shift, cap, and delete and it would reboot. So far ill i can find it the turn phone of button but that seems to just put the phone in a sleep mode.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI bought an official Samsung S6 Edge flip case cover for my phone. The S6 Edge fits very nicely and it looks professional. However... when I put my phone in this case, it immediately goes into sleep mode and I can't wake it up unless I take it completely out of the case. And even then the touch screen doesn't work and I have to do a hard reboot by holding the Power - Home - Volume keys.

iPhone 4, I don't know what the problem is?
i dont know why it has only just started to happen, everytime i lock my phone even if im sitting next to my wifi router it switches the wifi off

Mobile data having priority over wifi in some scenarios on Z5 Compact?
Phone is fully charged. None of the power saving options are enabled. Keep wifi on during sleep is enabled.
Phone is somewhere away from wifi in use with mobile data.
Phone becomes in range of a known wifi device whilst not in use.
After any amount of time, phone is used.
Mobile data is still in use and wifi is only switched to at the point the screen turns on.
Please tell me there is any good free software is available for N97 which turns the phone to a WiFi HotSpot.
I used the Joikuspot Premium and that's really good but don't want to spend money, if anything free is available which have no limitation on accessing the internet (http, ftp. smtp).
I have a BB Bold 9000, and it was working fine, i even updated and it worked great for months.and then last week when i tried to turn on the wifi to search for a network the phone got frozen for a few seconds and restarted it self continuously, like 4 times in a row. since then Im unable to turn the wifi on. bluetooth and service provider are working fine. Just wifi is causing troubles.I even tried to restore it to default settings using the lastest BB desktop software and no results.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI transferred/restored all my info and apps to it used it all day till night perfectly fine. It was fast, wifi working fine, etc. Then tonight I installed Go Launcher on it and played with it for like 10 mins and then noticed wifi stopped working. I turned wifi off and when I tried to turn it back on it failed, I kept trying until wifi turned on. Mean while the phone was super super slow so I turned off power saving mode but it didnt work. Then I noticed wifi started turning off on it own. My next step was remove Go launcher but it didnt fix anything, the issues stayed. Next I reset it to factory setttings but when it came on, wifi was failing (and phone slow) even during the initial set up wizard.
The phone was completely fine during the whole day.And my biggest worry is that this is an exchanged phone. I originally got a supposedly new s5 from ebay, (from a guy with thousands of reviews/transactions and like 98% positive score) but eventually I realized the battery was fake and that the IR blasted didnt work. He agreed to exchanged it and I received it yesterday and now today the phone has already failed but in the weirdest way possible by being completely fine for the majority of the day.
When I am on the home page of my iphone 4S, the phone will not go into sleepmode. I have already backed it up and restored. Still only will go into sleep mode manually.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSince the whole 2.0 update, I have been having problems when it comes to getting my Playbook out of sleep mode. When I swipe the screen to wake it up, the backlight comes on, and a bunch of grey lines are displayed. The same thing happens if I use the power button to wake it up. Sometimes it will display everything but will be a negative (what should be dark is light and visa versa). I either have to reboot the playbook, or keep putting it back to sleep and waking it up over and over again until it finally works.

I bought yesterday a Nokia X2-00 and been exploring it for a while, so far so good, pretty happy and satisfied with it, but there's a problem that bothers and I can't seem to find a solution for it. About the screen-saver, I can, for example, put it as a digital clock, and set a timer for when the phone to switch to screen-saver mode. Problem is, I don't seem to find anywhere an option to play with the sleep mode - no matter what, about 10 seconds after the screen saver goes active, the screen goes totally black (goes into sleep mode) and I need to press a button to wake it up. No digital clock display, no nothing.I need to be able to see the clock (and possibly an icon for missed calls/new texts) without having to touch a button. On all my old phones you could play with both screen saver/power saving/sleep mode options, but not here. What can I do?
View 5 Replies View RelatedOk, so this is probably the worst combination of things to occur. If you don't care about reading the story I'm looking for a way to put my phone into DFU mode without the sleep/wake button. If there is a way to do this please let me know - if you want to know why I need to do this, read below... Thanks.
Last week my sleep wake button mysteriously stopped working. For a time it would work with every 5th or 6th press, but now it doesn't work at all. So for the past week I've had to forgo the use of the sleep/wake button, which means that when I'm done using my phone I had to put it into my pocket and hope I didn't hit anything until it shut itself off.
It's been manageable, but I have dreaded the day that my iPhone froze or anything, because I have effectively no way to restart the the device. Turns out that day was this evening - it froze while I was in Gmail, and I was unable to do anything. Home button was non-responsive - basically the whole OS locked up. Now obviously if I had a working sleep/wake button I could have probably held down both that and the home screen and forced the iPhone to restart - clearly I don't have that option in this case...
Worse yet, I decided to try to fix my sleep/wake button, so I took my phone apart. I wasn't able to really figure out what was going on with the sleep/wake button, and while I had the case cracked open it died. Once I got everything plugged in again, the phone turned back on, and sat at the Apple logo screen for a long time, after which it superimposed a spinning wheel over top of the logo. Truth be told, I don't think that disconnecting the screen had anything to do with the spinning wheel, I think it's a result of the OS completely locking up (the likes of which I've never seen the iPhone do before... so something in the OS must have become corrupted... at least that's my theory anyway).
It has been/continues to be stuck in this loop. I'm not sure whether letting the device die and naturally resetting itself will do the trick. I'm leaning towards the idea that it probably won't help the situation. I have not yet tried to do a restore, because I'm worried that it won't work, and then I'll lose my backup as well.
So yah... does anyone know how to force the iPhone into DFU mode without the sleep/wake button?
I've been using my Torch for 6 months now, and it has been working fine with the Holster (its a flip case) Everytime I close, it will auto go to sleep mode. However, since last week, the phone doesn't go to sleep when I close the flip case. I think it doesnt detect the magnet anymore. I check the Holster and the magnet is still there. I use another magnet to run it over the Torch but the phone just doesn't go to sleep mode. I've pulled the battery out and even tried with other casing, it just doesn't work anymore.

Lot's of notifications of email, SMS etc. Now I want to sleep, but need the phone to still ring and SMS to notify me, as I need those for work. Any way I can selectively mute some notifications and not others depending on what time it is? I couldn't find any apps that did this, but there's quite a few.

I've gone through a couple phones now, but I am still having this problem with the Triumph. Periodically, when the phone goes into sleep mode, it will not come out when pressing the power button. I have to take the battery out and replace it to get it to function correctly again. After experimenting with it a bit, it seems to only occur when I have Wifi enabled. When Wifi is off the phone seems to function in and out of sleep mode correctly. Anyone else experience this and/or have a fix for it(beside keeping Wifi disabled)?
I have also experienced some of the same issues that others have addressed on this site (random rebooting, slow GPS), but my Wifi sleep mode problem gives me the biggest headache.
My phone had an 80% charge last night and the nightime battery extender mode was on (as it is every night). Five hours later I woke to the flashing green light so I tried to check my messages. The screen would not come on. I knew the phone hadn't powered off because of the green light. I called from my home phone but there was no sound either. I looked online and found how to force a reboot (power on and volume down button at same time). The phone came on and said it still had a 50% charge. It did NOT show my missed calls! I called Verizon and they tried to say it was a fluke thing and not to worry. This has never happened before and the phone is only a month old. I rely on the phone as an alarm so this is especially disturbing, as well as the unknown missed calls.
