Whenever my phone (HTC one M7) turns off it forgets all wifi networks i have signed into, meaning that when it switches back on I have to type in passwords again. This has been happening since i upgraded my software to android lollipop 5.0.2 ....
View 3 RepliesJust bought an iphone 4s and have been having trouble with wifi at home where i use a Netgear router. As soon as the wifi connection is lost or the phone goes into sleep, the wifi password has to be re-entered.The router has WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES]encryption and the SSID is on broadcast.At work, the iphone remembers the password no trouble, same at a friends apartment. I also have an ipad 2, ipod touch and a mac book pro, none of which have any trouble with the wifi.I have tried reset the network settings and also restored the phone (i only got it day before, so not much on there) but no change. Its presently running 5.1.1 (9B206)

My S6 seems to always ask for the WiFi password whenever I turn the WiFi on and connect it to my (presumably) saved networks. So when I turn on my WiFi at home, it always asks me for my password, same with work, other saved locations etc. This problem has only started occuring from last week, before I had the problem of WiFi not automatically connecting to the network when WiFi was turned on. I would need to turn it on, and manually press connect on the WiFi page without asking for the WiFi password again.

I have tried restarts, I have tried factory reset, I have run a diagnostic but the wifi simply wont switch on and therefore I cannot get the phone to scan for networks. It worked briefly after I updates to latest firmware but that only lasted 5 hours.

My phone will no longer automatically connect to saved WiFi networks. It knows they're there, because if I go to Settings -> WiFi, it shows up in the list as a "saved" one. Tapping on it and selecting "connect" does nothing. I have to turn off the WiFi and turn it back on, and it will then automatically connect.
Additionally, WiFi will not stay off. If I'm some place I don't want it to connect to WiFi, I turn it off so that I don't get messages that networks are available (specifically when I'm driving, it's really annoying to deal with that over Waze).
I've got a Sprint GS5, running stock (not rooted), on 5.0. No updates available for the phone. It does this on every WiFi network I have saved (home, school, and school apartment, among others). I've also tried turning Smart Switch off and on, it makes no difference for either issue.
My Iphone (white) turns on then off then on then off then on then off! Finaly when I eventually get to the lock screen it says: conect to power but I charged it last night and the percent bar (top right) says 100% . Now it says to charge with itunes? What am I supposed to do!

I used the Joikuspot Premium and that's really good but don't want to spend money, if anything free is available which have no limitation on accessing the internet (http, ftp. smtp).
My Wi-Fi always turns itself on when the phone is 'asleep'. Here is a screenshot of my Wi-Fi settings. I can't figure out how to not make it turn on like that.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a BB Bold 9000, and it was working fine, i even updated and it worked great for months.and then last week when i tried to turn on the wifi to search for a network the phone got frozen for a few seconds and restarted it self continuously, like 4 times in a row. since then Im unable to turn the wifi on. bluetooth and service provider are working fine. Just wifi is causing troubles.I even tried to restore it to default settings using the lastest BB desktop software and no results.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI transferred/restored all my info and apps to it used it all day till night perfectly fine. It was fast, wifi working fine, etc. Then tonight I installed Go Launcher on it and played with it for like 10 mins and then noticed wifi stopped working. I turned wifi off and when I tried to turn it back on it failed, I kept trying until wifi turned on. Mean while the phone was super super slow so I turned off power saving mode but it didnt work. Then I noticed wifi started turning off on it own. My next step was remove Go launcher but it didnt fix anything, the issues stayed. Next I reset it to factory setttings but when it came on, wifi was failing (and phone slow) even during the initial set up wizard.
The phone was completely fine during the whole day.And my biggest worry is that this is an exchanged phone. I originally got a supposedly new s5 from ebay, (from a guy with thousands of reviews/transactions and like 98% positive score) but eventually I realized the battery was fake and that the IR blasted didnt work. He agreed to exchanged it and I received it yesterday and now today the phone has already failed but in the weirdest way possible by being completely fine for the majority of the day.
Had my C5-00 for a week or so now and all been ok except this morning. The time reset itself to 1am and the date to yesterday. I took off the auto clock and set it myself with the correct date. 15 or so minutes later it reverted back to 1am (but today's date this time)
I have now turned it off and back on and set the time/date (which it asks on 1st boot every time! Strange) and set it back to auto-update.
As of now it is keeping its time/date but seems strange. I have tried the phone update but it says everything is up-to-date.
I have a problem when someone I know on ATT's network sends me an e-mail to my Gmail account. It can take hours. I really thought I had a sync problem but I ran a test today. Everything came through from other providers immediately, including a user name request from this website that went to my Gmail account.Is this a common problem with other networks? An ATT issue? Just this one person? Maybe they don't have their IPHONE sync set right?

At first I thought it just didn't sync yet, manually synced it, still nothing. After playing around with it for a bit, I started reading through the forums and came across the "Class Action Lawsuit" thread where in the guys rant he says "It constantly resets the date and time so you're workout will show up as 4 months in the past ( not ideal for a training log) "

I've restarted the phone and reset network settings several times. Airport mode is off. This occurs in multiple WiFi hotspots that are recognized by other iPhones purchased at the same time. Apple wants to be paid to help (phone is 7 months old).

Hi, I have nokia 5800 Xpressmusic and I have problem with my wifi. I recently bought it and I cant get wifi networks on the same place that I got 5 networks with my old phone nokia e51. At home I could get 5 networks in my building and now with my nokia 5800 I can't get any of this. It says network not found, my neighbor have a wifi router and with my nokia e51 I had 100% signal now i have (some times) only 20% on the samo place that I had 100%. Can anybody tell me what is the problem???

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to get to the bottom of my high Android System usage (currently 60%), and noticed that if I go into settings>wifi, I can see that my phone is searching for wifi networks every 10 seconds (it shows up in the gray bar near the top that says "WI-FI NETWORKS"). If I go to menu>advanced wifi I have everything un-checked, including "allow Wi-Fi scanning." I would think this would prevent the phone's wifi from constantly searching, but apparently not.

Earlier changes of phones has given me the opportunity to access wifi networks (SSID) I've used before. Now I have to add (connect and reenter key) all networks all over again.

I hgave reset network, reset phone, hard soft shut down, plugged it into the router-time capsule, and nothing. It just keeps on spinning around and around. I do not have a VPN network, but I tried that, and still nothing. My office is where I have wifi-plus their are 10 other wifi's in the building it used to pick up, now nothing. Even at home nothing. Just spinning and spinning.It is 2 weeks old. I bought it in Canada, and am now in Africa. I purchased it factory unlocked, and it is running the 5.1.1 software. I don't want to take my phone to the apple resellers, as I bought it at an actual Apple store, and I don't trust the guy here in Tanzania. Is their anything that I have missed that I could possibly do? If you say fixed or static IP, I have no idea how to do that so if you could explain where that said IP is so I could utilize it, and how do I input it to my phone. I'm thinking that is my last hope. Other than that the chip or antenna are fried somehow-even though it is brand new, and has had a case on it the whole time.

I have an iPhone 4 and it has been using from 10MB to 100MB of my data plan while I'm on a WiFi network. This usually happens at night or when my iPhone is on standby and is killing my 200MB plan.I am almost always on a WiFi network and the most data usage seems to be around 12AM - 6AM. I have just picked up on this when I was out of state and needed to have my 3G on to get good reception (data roaming was off). Before then I usually never had my cellular network on and never had much of a problem.Now i have come home to an AT&T M-Cell. I cannot connect to the M-Cell unless I'm on 3G.
I have read many forums that all say that you need to turn off your data while I'm on a WiFi network. However this is just a work around and not a solution to what is actually using so much data. Has anyone found a better solution or has found an app that will keep a log of what is taking up so much of my data plan?
