After I updated my C5 to latest Finnish software for hardware and ovi shop my C5 has this problem that clock time resets to 3:00 am after it goes to sleep mode (dark screen).
View 19 RepliesHad my C5-00 for a week or so now and all been ok except this morning. The time reset itself to 1am and the date to yesterday. I took off the auto clock and set it myself with the correct date. 15 or so minutes later it reverted back to 1am (but today's date this time)
I have now turned it off and back on and set the time/date (which it asks on 1st boot every time! Strange) and set it back to auto-update.
As of now it is keeping its time/date but seems strange. I have tried the phone update but it says everything is up-to-date.
The time in my Nokia C7 will be late by 1 minute after a week. Try to synchronize your clock with the GMT time or even with your computer clock, and after a week check the time on your C7 against your computer clock.

I've been using my Nokia C5-00 for about a year now without any problems. Recently however, it started to show wrong time (like it was going too fast). The offset is usually about 15-30 minutes forward. Initially I thought that its just few seconds per minute faster than it should be (like a normal mechanism watch) and I tried to explain it with processor clock being somehow off, but I noticed that it must at one point just skip these several minutes.
I've never spotted this "skipping" explicitly but it happens once per 10-15 hours, I guess. E.g. it shows proper time the whole day and when I go to sleep but next morning its off several minutes. It happens both with automatic time update On and Off. I haven't updated my software for a couple of months now, but the one I got is up to date (according to Ovi).

I was in Puerto Rico recently and saw that my display clocks on my home screen and the task bar above were not syncing. The home screen clock displayed the correct time for the time zone, the task bar clock displayed the time in my home time zone. This never happened before and I travel a lot throughout the continental US.
Also when I wanted to set my alarm to wake me up, I had to set it according to my home time zone. That's a lot of math for someone to do while on vacation.
My iPhone 3GS is set to change time automatically with the Daylight Savings change. That worked as the phone time itself is correct, but the times for the different places in the built-in World Clock app are still off by an hour (they are on the old time). This is also true of my husband's iPhone 3G. Strangely, I have an iPod touch that adjusted both its system time and the World Clock times without difficulty.
I have tried syncing the phone, toggling on/off the update time automatically, and rebooting, but the time is still incorrect. If I try adding a new place, it will also have the wrong time.
There may also be an issue with other apps - the ESPN app had the start time of a game today off by an hour as well.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this?
Edit: To clarify, the times are wrong for US cities that do observe DST, such as New York, Chicago, etc.
I went to a different time zone last month and of course changed my clock on my Curve 8520 to that zone (6 hours ahead of my home zone EST). Of course when I returned I changed back. Since then every time I sync to my computer the zone changes to a different time (7 hours behind my zone). Also now after a sync when I click on the clock icon it shows 2 analog clocks. One large one with the new wrong time and a small one to the left showing the correct time. After I reset the time I get only one large analog clock showing the correct time until I resync again.I have checked and rechecked the settings. I have changed the date/time source setting from 'Blackberry' Network Time to 'Network' Time and this does not make any difference. I've pulled the battery. I've reset the sync maagement options.What a pain having to change the time every time I sync. I've called my service provider (rogers) and they went through the same steps I have already tried.

A few days ago I went for a run, got back, went on [url]... to see my workout... but it wasn't there. At first I thought it just didn't sync yet, manually synced it, still nothing. After playing around with it for a bit, I started reading through the forums and came across the "Class Action Lawsuit" thread where in the guys rant he says "It constantly resets the date and time so you're workout will show up as 4 months in the past ( not ideal for a training log) "

Others have reported that hard resetting the device only lasts momentarily and that the bug is pretty fatal.
i have just purchased a C1-01. On the display I a large icon showing my battery life and signal, my network providor name, a really large time display and a slightly smaller date. I have tried to look under the date and time settings, but there is no option for hiding it. It's really annoying but I've no idea how to make it go away.

The clock on the top status bar on the other hand was spot on correct.

Mystery to me why but we've played with and changed all the clock settings including putting it onto manual time, auto on our time zone, entering the time itself, etc. but the stupid thing insists on changing the time by itself. This is one of a few problems we've had so far and our confidence is starting to drain in the blackberry phones.if only she'd of listened to me and had an iPhone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the Xoom set to automatic date/time. I turn on Airplane mode (with WiFi on) to conserve battery. Runs most of the day at the office OK. I think it is OK at home as well. Plug it in to charge overnight (Xoom still on). Wake up in the morning and the time is all wrong.
I then turn Airplane mode off. The Xoom connects to 3G and sets the clock again.
Can't figure out why the clock (once automatically set to the right time), would change after a period of time.
I got my phone on 11/9/12 and within the first day our so the clock had lost a few hours. I had to switch to manual and set the clock. Then I set it back to use network for time. Well today I was late for work because when I woke up my phone said 7:10 and it really was 7:40. So had I not woken up when I did I would have been an hour late for work. The tech in Store removed my antivirus apps starting I didn't need them.

- The clock does not react on automatically time set, picks the right time zone but does not affect the time
- When I change the time manually the clock will show the time like I put it to but won't change.
- The time will run when the screen is unlocked but when I lock the screen and then turn in back on the time is reset to which I set it to.
- When I set the time manually and connect the iPhone to my MacBook the time runs perfectly but when I disconnect the phone the same problem appears.Â
I tried to reinstall the phone with iTunes but that didn't work.

Suddenly, the phone's clock started showing a time that was offset by two hours for my local time.
I deselected automatic time zone and auto date/time and set them manually. If I return it to automatic, it will show my precise location but the timezone and local time would be offset by two hours (earlier, not later).
Currently, I have auto date/time and selected my time zone automatically. It shows the right date and time but the screen showing my current position still shows the clock two hours behind.
Does anybody know if it is possible to display the time / clock and date on my phone's screen when the phone is on but in "standby mode" (black screen)? I can't find a setting anywhere on the menu to activate this.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm regularly seeing the incorrect time displayed when I wake the device to check the time. I completely understand not rendering an updated clock when the screen is disabled, but this needs to occur instantly when the display is awakened. Currently the lag can be around 10/15 seconds (I've not measured precisely, but I can wake the screen by shaking at least 3 times and let it blank again before an update).
View 2 Replies View RelatedI tried various clock widgets and since upgrade to GB, the time does not update, the clock on the top status bar will have the correct time and the widget will show like 2 hours ago. If I tap the widget, it refreshes and shows the correct time, otherwise it's stuck. Anyone have a flip clock widget (ala HTC Sense clock), preferably with weather that will work with the DroidX and GB? Will the new mr6 update in mid-august fix this? Analog clocks seem to work, so my guess it's some sort of update/refresh service in GB is not working correctly.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm about to loose hope on my Nokia 5230. The first was the battery problem. It was empty in a day and a half on very moderate use (swiched off during the night). When I recalibrated the battery the things got better but still far away from the specs on Nokia site. And yes; I have tried all the tricks to save the energy (GSM only, 30% screen brightness, no bluetooth,....).
The second I discovered, that the GPS is basicly useless. It wont lock on the sattelites no matter what.The GPS was one of the main reasons to buy 5230. If someone got lucky to find some sattelites - how good is the accuracy? Is in the range of 6 meters or less as with Garmin?
Now I have discovered, that the clock is not showing the right time. It is loosing minutes as someone said to it that one hour has only 59 or 58 minutes. I still have to discover the logic how the clock is counting minutes. I have tried with and without automatic time update. By the way; the phone has the last firmware.
So if the clock is useless then the alarm is useless and I can't use it on my buisness trips.
Is there anyone else with the same problems? Is there any solution to this clock problem? Some settings I've missed?
Someone would say; for the price everything can not be perfect.
So, is this the logic (Nokia logic):
-we will put in the GPS, but because of a low price it won't find some sattelites
-we will put the battery in the phone but because of the low price it won't last more than two days
-the phone will have the clock but because of the low price it will not show the right time
