View 1 RepliesMy iPhone 3GS is set to change time automatically with the Daylight Savings change. That worked as the phone time itself is correct, but the times for the different places in the built-in World Clock app are still off by an hour (they are on the old time). This is also true of my husband's iPhone 3G. Strangely, I have an iPod touch that adjusted both its system time and the World Clock times without difficulty.
I have tried syncing the phone, toggling on/off the update time automatically, and rebooting, but the time is still incorrect. If I try adding a new place, it will also have the wrong time.
There may also be an issue with other apps - the ESPN app had the start time of a game today off by an hour as well.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this?
Edit: To clarify, the times are wrong for US cities that do observe DST, such as New York, Chicago, etc.
The clock (world clock I assume) disappears from the main screen when there is no reception. How do I change it to local clock so I get time 24/7?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI love the bedside mode of the Storm 2, especially with the dock I recently purchased. The only problem is, I like the room dark as possible and even with the phone in bedside mode when charging, and the setting check to dim the clock, it's still far to bright.
Is there a way of having clock on, but have the screen go off with the usual setting to black the screen after say 30 seconds or whatever I choose for the backlighting time out, then have the screen come on if I reach over and touch the screen to display the clock, then letting the backlighting go off again after the preset time?
This would make the setup perfect for me, allowing me to use the Storm 2 as a bedside clock without having to have the display on all the time, but being able to turn it on for a short period of time as needed. If this is possible, can somebody post the settings needed
I went to a different time zone last month and of course changed my clock on my Curve 8520 to that zone (6 hours ahead of my home zone EST). Of course when I returned I changed back. Since then every time I sync to my computer the zone changes to a different time (7 hours behind my zone). Also now after a sync when I click on the clock icon it shows 2 analog clocks. One large one with the new wrong time and a small one to the left showing the correct time. After I reset the time I get only one large analog clock showing the correct time until I resync again.I have checked and rechecked the settings. I have changed the date/time source setting from 'Blackberry' Network Time to 'Network' Time and this does not make any difference. I've pulled the battery. I've reset the sync maagement options. What a pain having to change the time every time I sync. I've called my service provider (rogers) and they went through the same steps I have already tried.
View 13 Replies View RelatedIs there a way that, when setting a time on a calendar item, that the time can be locked?Example:When travelling, the time of airline flights is set when at home city.Phone is set to Auto Time, to display the system time. I.e., when travelling to a different time zone, the local time is used by the phone.Problem: The time in all calendar items are adjusted to the time zone travelled-to, not the value orginally set. Therefore the time of an airline flight is advanced (or reduced), and does not reflect the time that the flight actually departs.. a problem. One work-around is to leave the phone time setting to home time, but then the phone can't be used in place of a watch. Is there a setting in the calendar function that ignores current phone time?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI travel a lot and I've noticed that quite often when I turn on my phone after landing that the time zone doesn't automatically switch time zones and network time is unavailable. Is there a reason for this? I would have thought that all networks would broadcast time and that all phones would be able to receive it.

Is there a way to change the clock alarm weekdays setting from Monday - Friday to Sunday - Thursday ?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have set the calendar so that Sunday (in UAE) is the first working day of the week. When I select weekdays for the alarm it doesn't recognise this and doesn't go off on a Sunday. It still goes off on a Friday which is the weekend. So I have to remember to keep switching it on or off How can I change this setting?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI found a weird bug and wanted to report it. If you attemt to add the World Clock widget on the home screen it will cause the LED light to flash green continuously when the display goes to sleep. Deleting the widget off screen doesn't make it go away and to make things worse, when rebooting the Atrix 2 the LED flashing comes back because once you apply this clock it will forever run in the background every time phone boots. You have to do a master reset to make this nightmare go away. Update: It appears that what causes this is when for the very first time you apply this widget it scans for your location and if unsuccessful is how this problem starts. Deleting the widget, clearing data and rebooting doesn't fix it. You have no other choice but to master reset the phone. If you were successful then it will function like it should.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an S5 and haven't had any issues with it until now. I was in Puerto Rico recently and saw that my display clocks on my home screen and the task bar above were not syncing. The home screen clock displayed the correct time for the time zone, the task bar clock displayed the time in my home time zone. This never happened before and I travel a lot throughout the continental US.
Also when I wanted to set my alarm to wake me up, I had to set it according to my home time zone. That's a lot of math for someone to do while on vacation.
my girlfriend recently purchased the torch 9810 and the clock on it keeps changing by itself. Mystery to me why but we've played with and changed all the clock settings including putting it onto manual time, auto on our time zone, entering the time itself, etc. but the stupid thing insists on changing the time by itself. This is one of a few problems we've had so far and our confidence is starting to drain in the blackberry phones.if only she'd of listened to me and had an iPhone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the Xoom set to automatic date/time. I turn on Airplane mode (with WiFi on) to conserve battery. Runs most of the day at the office OK. I think it is OK at home as well. Plug it in to charge overnight (Xoom still on). Wake up in the morning and the time is all wrong.
I then turn Airplane mode off. The Xoom connects to 3G and sets the clock again.
Can't figure out why the clock (once automatically set to the right time), would change after a period of time.
I got my phone on 11/9/12 and within the first day our so the clock had lost a few hours. I had to switch to manual and set the clock. Then I set it back to use network for time. Well today I was late for work because when I woke up my phone said 7:10 and it really was 7:40. So had I not woken up when I did I would have been an hour late for work. The tech in Store removed my antivirus apps starting I didn't need them.

- The clock does not react on automatically time set, picks the right time zone but does not affect the time
- When I change the time manually the clock will show the time like I put it to but won't change.
- The time will run when the screen is unlocked but when I lock the screen and then turn in back on the time is reset to which I set it to.
- When I set the time manually and connect the iPhone to my MacBook the time runs perfectly but when I disconnect the phone the same problem appears.Â
I tried to reinstall the phone with iTunes but that didn't work.
I turned locations on.
I did a hard reboot.Â

The time in my Nokia C7 will be late by 1 minute after a week. Try to synchronize your clock with the GMT time or even with your computer clock, and after a week check the time on your C7 against your computer clock.

Suddenly, the phone's clock started showing a time that was offset by two hours for my local time.
I deselected automatic time zone and auto date/time and set them manually. If I return it to automatic, it will show my precise location but the timezone and local time would be offset by two hours (earlier, not later).
Currently, I have auto date/time and selected my time zone automatically. It shows the right date and time but the screen showing my current position still shows the clock two hours behind.
Does anybody know if it is possible to display the time / clock and date on my phone's screen when the phone is on but in "standby mode" (black screen)? I can't find a setting anywhere on the menu to activate this.
