My S6 seems to always ask for the WiFi password whenever I turn the WiFi on and connect it to my (presumably) saved networks. So when I turn on my WiFi at home, it always asks me for my password, same with work, other saved locations etc. This problem has only started occuring from last week, before I had the problem of WiFi not automatically connecting to the network when WiFi was turned on. I would need to turn it on, and manually press connect on the WiFi page without asking for the WiFi password again.
Just bought an iphone 4s and have been having trouble with wifi at home where i use a Netgear router. As soon as the wifi connection is lost or the phone goes into sleep, the wifi password has to be re-entered.The router has WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES]encryption and the SSID is on broadcast. At work, the iphone remembers the password no trouble, same at a friends apartment. I also have an ipad 2, ipod touch and a mac book pro, none of which have any trouble with the wifi.I have tried reset the network settings and also restored the phone (i only got it day before, so not much on there) but no change. Its presently running 5.1.1 (9B206)
Whenever my phone (HTC one M7) turns off it forgets all wifi networks i have signed into, meaning that when it switches back on I have to type in passwords again. This has been happening since i upgraded my software to android lollipop 5.0.2 ....
I have recently bought the S5 and have been experimenting with the face tag function so that the People filter in Gallery is populated. However what I am finding is that the device is forgetting who I have tagged. This has many interesting side effects and I have been to the Samsung service centre who had no advice apart from ringing samsung and samsung themselves said go and talk to the service people.
I thought it was very strange that after taking home my new Galaxy S6, that when I prompted it to connect to my personal password protected (WPA/WPA2) Wi-Fi, that it connected with no problems and never asked for a password.
That prompted me to check the security for my Wi-Fi, which is still in place. I use the Cisco Linksys EA6300 for my Wi-Fi. I have always been prompted for a password when first connecting. Maybe it was me signing into my Google account? Maybe it stores Wi-Fi passwords?
Already tried remote access online but that doesn't work because my phone isn't connected to wifi or MD tried putting wrong password in for a reset option that hasn't happened and i cant for the life of me remember my backup password.
My recently purchased Xperia Active forgets SD card content after rebooting. If I take a photo, I can find it (using ASTRO) saved in mnt/sdcard/dcim/100andro. But after I shut down and restart my phone the directory is empty and the gallery app can't find any photos.
The iOS music app on my phone repeatedly is losing playback position for audiobooks. I go to the Music app > Audiobooks > BookTitle and get to a menu where I see part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4, and part 1 says, below the title/author listing, saysÂ
8:53:58Â 6hr 49 min leftÂ
And I touch the title to start it playing, and it shows the little red marker on the progress bar at about the right position for 2 hours having been played, and as often as not, there is a little flash and then the red marker is back at the far left side and it starts playing again at the beginning. Â
These are books from various sources--today's example was a Librivox download, others have been books on CD, and checking in iTunes verifies that they have been correctly coded as audiobooks and 'remember playback position' is automatically checked.Â
It's a PITA hunting through an 8 hour long recording with only the crude control of the little progress bar and 15 second skip forward/back to find the spot I left off.Â
It doesn't happen with the same titles in iTunes on the computer.Â
So I got my Verizon m8 today and went through the setup process. Everything seemed to be going well until I restarted the phone. Upon reboot I noticed I was no longer connected to wifi. I connected again and rebooted again. Same thing. I've tried everything I can think of, including a hard reset, and still it refuses to remember my wifi password?
OK, just found out that it's related to password length. My wifi password is 63 characters in length. As a test, I reduced it to 9 characters and it then remembered it after reboot. How long it can be and continue to work?
just got a Blackberry Bold today, but when trying to connect to my home wi-fi network, I mistyped the password. When I try to connect to the wi-fi, I get a message telling me that the "Connection failed due to incorrect network credentials. Verify saved network's security settings". I'm assuming this is because the password I entered was incorrect, but it doesn't give me the opportunity to re-enter it. I've been exploring menus, but can't find how to start again and reset this.
After a clean install (restored as a new iPhone) of iOS 5.1 on my iPhone 3GS it keeps asking me the wifi network password every time I want to connect. The system doesn't remember the password. The curious fact is that my iPad 2 isn't affected by this bug. It is on iOS 5.1 too but I simply upgraded it from 5.0.1 without a clean install. Resetting network settings doesn't make it to work, the same with an hard reset.
The 2 iphones in my house will no longer accept the wifi password, wifi will not work on either phone. i know the password is correct but still displays `unable to join to the network`
i have tried resetting wifi settings on both phones, tried resetting wifi router still no wifi.
My 3g will not accept the network key password no matter what I do! I've changed the network passwords a few times through the server and have reset the phone through iTunes as well.
Why my iphone doesn't remember my NETGEAR wifi password? I have a router in my home and I have to select my network "Netgear" each time I arrive home and complete the password. It was not like that before upgrade the software. I've tried with everything, rebooting the iphone, resetting the network settings, etc.
My WiFi connection keeps re-asking for my password even though what I have entered is 100% correct. It keeps coming back and saying its not correct.I have a WPA 63 character key that I enter and do it 4 digits at a time except the last which is 3 digits, all entered 100% correctly and in the right case, yet my Defy keeps saying incorrect. Do you know what is up with that? It works fine on my laptop with the exact same WPA key entered.
I am using Nokia 5800 Xpress Music and also i have a utstarcom wifi moedm.i am using internet with user name and password(Means dialup connection for wifi ON PC).I want that on my nokia 5800 i can use internet using user name and password. Please tell me in mobile where i can fill user name and password for internet connection
I have Nokia E65 and a problem changing WiFi passwords for these a network for which a password has once been entered already. The network is now listed as a known WiFi and for that reason it does not ask the password again. Yet, the password is wrong and the browser fails connecting every time. Never-the-less there appears no opportunity to re-enter the WiFi LAN password.
I'm not understanding how to find the wi-fi password. When it finds a network, it asks me to enter a password. How do I know what to type in?? I have searched online and the darn user guide and everything just says 'type the password in'. What password?! Where do I find this? In the alternative, if it doesn't find a network it says "choose a network" and then wants a name/security/password.
I'll run through all the information I have and everything I've tried. I have a Verizon IPhone 4S, internationally unlocked, using an international sim card When I first moved to China, everything worked fine. Now that I'm thinking back, I'd say that the first time I noticed problems connecting to wifi was after getting a local 3G sim card for my phone. Since then, I've been able to see wifi networks fine, but get incorrect password everytime I've input them.
I can't connect to wifi that need a password to access, it always says the password is incorrect. I was connected to my home wifi until I reset my network settings like I have read but now I can't get back on to my wifi!
Is there a way to connect my iPhone 4s to my wifi network without the password? This is my home network but unfortunately it was setup years ago and I have no way of getting the password for it. I've been able to connect my laptop to it without the password by pushing the button on the netgear router but it does not work when I try with my phone. My laptop and desktop are both connected and have iTunes so I was hoping I could do it that way but I've had no luck. I've also had no luck resetting the router and I'd rather not buy a new one.
