I have Google Nexus 6 mobile. For my smartphone I frequently getting android system update of 30.1 MB. When I try update, while updating it fails and shows error. This occurs for the same update for more than 30 times. after some time my mobile restarts.
I downloaded the new system update, now my phone is in a constant recovery reboot saying installing system update. I press the power button plus the volume up and i can see what it is installing it goes through the same thing over and over and just reboots back in the recovery booting again when its done installing...what is causing this i cant do a system reset either it wont let me (volume up +home+power ) does not work , removing the batter does not work (soft reset)...
Well I'm back at it again. Always had a problem of phone shutting off and entering qhdbootloader 9008 (however it goes) and I just run the boarddiag tool but this time its not that far. Well whenever it does that I also have to reflash system but now when I try to flash a rom, it gets to the installing system part in twrp and hangs, then reboots at the google logo until I enter recovery again. Aka I cant flash a rom, hangs and reboots at the installing system portion
I have updated to android m on my nexus 5. However when trying to root using instructions from: [URL] ...
I'm not able to install twrp with adb as well as one click recovery installer.bat as mentioned in the article.
I follow the steps and it shows it sent the recovery image and when reboot, it optimizes the apps as well ,however when i go to recovery, i get android dead icons with X.
Like the title says I can't write anything new into my rooted N5's system where it says system is out of space or something like that... I can copy files of KB sizes but not MBs... I have V4A libs and SuperSU in the system and now been trying to put in avast antitheft which is not working... This also happened when I tried to install xposed... BTW mine is stock lmy48i rooted with elemental x... Now I had to delete Google books just to install the antitheft!
I have installed Android M one month ago and in the last two days my phone started to reboot at anytime. When I'm using it, like in a call or browsing with google chrome, just reboot...
I flashed Android 6.0 to my Nexus5 and rooted it with NRT. I can't copy a new hosts file to /system/etc because there is to less space. df shows in fact just 4k of free space.
I got an OTA update available notification on my wife's phone and started the update. Its been well over 1.5 hours and it seems to keep repeating the "installing update" step in a loop. I rebooted the phone. Note the phone is unrooted.
A buddy of mine is getting a notifiaction for Android System Update. When he selects to install, It says it will reboot and install updates, but when it reboots it goes in to Team Win Recovery Projest mode (TWRP) as he had rooted his phone. After it goes to recovery mode he manually selected reboot and it does not start to update and the notification is not to be seen again. But after 2-3 hours it comes back again asking to update. Let me know how to diable the phone going into recovey mode or how to update in recovery mode if there is way to do it???? This has been happening from past 2 days.
I got error message when i update my nexus 5 to 5.0.1, my nexus downloading the update and restart, after that in the middle of the process, it suddenly says error
Probably it have something to do with i root my nexus 5?
I'm using Nexus Toolkit to root so can i use the Toolkit to unroot without losing data? After that will i be able to update OTA?
I use Toolkit to Flash stock + unroot and it worked and i didn't lose any data (Must go to option and check unwipe data). I first unroot using supersu but that didn't work, just want to share it.
There is a "downloaded and verified" software update on my phone that says Restart and Install. However, I do not want this update. If my phone restarts (accident, runs out of battery) will this start installing the update? If so, how can I stop it? I have an unrooted Nexus 5, and I do not want to root it.
The ota update notification appeared last week and it was downloaded and verified.
Decided to update, so fully charged, updated all my apps and back up photos, contacts etc. Also wiped the cache partition.
When I rebooted after wipeing cache the update notification appeared as usual and I selected restart and install. Counted down from 10-0, then got stuck on rebooting now... Phone still functioning as normal. So powered down and manually rebooted, ota notification not appearing anymore but the update still available via settings>system update and still hangs on rebooting now.
I tried Lollipop for a loooong time and now I'm sick and tired. I downgraded to 4.4.4 but I have a persistent notification in the status bar saying that the new system update to android 5.0.1 is available. But I don't want it!
Is there a way to disable that notification? It is very anoying. I tried to download FOTAkill.apk and put it in system/apps with rw--r-r- permissions but doesn't work. I know that the simplest solution is to install a custom rom but I am very happy with stock rooted + xposed + modules.
so my Nexus 5 just showed a Update Message today saying that Android 6.0 was available. I accepted the terms and started downloading it.After finishing it asked me if i wanted to restart it, when i did nothing happened it just went back o the check for update dialog box. I tried restarting the phone but nothing happens, it does not detect android 6 again and it does not install the one that got downloaded.
Yesterday I updated my Nexus 5 to android 6 via ota update notification. it seems it didn't download correctly. after a hour I power off my cellphone and after that it didnt boot again and still in page with android logo and ! red mark. I tried to install ota update file via adb sideload but I got status 7 error.
After that I tried to solve status 7 with flash system.img's factory image file but when I type fastboot flash system system.img it still on <<waiting for device>> screen. How can I solve this problem. My datas are very important for me and I dont want to lost theme.
Not wanting to wait for the OTA update to appear on it's own, I downloaded the 5.0.1 OTA update directly and tried to do a adb sideload from my Mac but sadly I get a "device not found" after doing the adb reboot bootloader command. I do adb devices and indeed no devices are attached. So I entered recovery mode and still no device found and so I just start the Nexus 6 back up as normal. At that point, adb devices shows the Nexus 6 and so rinse and repeat - the device is not found while in bootloader. Must be doing something wrong since I was able to install 5.0 without any issue and it's already unlocked.
So I downloaded Android 6 from Googles site and manually updated and of course the phone was wiped! And today I remembered I had a lot of photos from our vacation and of the kids (when my youngest was born etc) and whatnot that got lost as well Is there any way to recover these? I've tried looking for guides on here, but the ones i found that were kind of relevant are old ones and links to files that was needed is dead.
Will the reboot or factory reset delete the Android system on my phone.i'm facing touch, heat, and automatic frequent lighting problems. thus, i want to see if any reboot works.
I am interested in purchasing the Nexus 6 but need to know if I can arrange the apps in the app drawer alphabetically automatically and keep them sorted that way even when I install new apps.
This will be a deal breaker for me if it can't be done as I can do it on my Note 4.
i'm continously getting a 'system error' message whenever i try to install some apps, such as nokia battery monitor, Internet downloader and fmobi. this occurence only began recently after updating to symbian anna. i've installed many other apps and can still install other apps but i seem to have a problem with a select few. i have attempted to uninstall and reinstall the apps and also done a delete and restore after backup but still no change.
So I tried to install an exposed module and after reboot exposed wasn't working anymore. through xda searches I figured out my system partition was full. is there any way to make this partition bigger? or Every time i install a module will I have to uninstall a system app to make room?
I've received the 5.1.1 update notification twice tonight. Both times it downloaded & successfully verified, but once the install process began, I received an error & the update stopped. What's going on??
The latest update keeps giving me error 504 from the play store which I've googled and done the things suggested for the error. Wipe cache and data of play store. Remove Google account and log it back in. But still nothing so i manually downloaded from apk mirror and even that way says not installed when trying to update.
I have had my Nexus 5 for several months and only ever used 1 of my 2 Google accounts on it. About a month ago I decided with a bit more with my second account I would try putting my second Google account in the settings. So I added it in settings > accounts > add account > Google then fill out the rest. I only originally checked to sync Gmail, Keep, and URL shortener for that second account. As those were the only things I really needed for that account since I had my main account already. Switching Google accounts in the Gmail app, Google Keep app, and URL shortener app are very easy and have worked great!
The problem occurred when I decided to add a Google+ profile photo to that second account and decided to sync Google+ on my Nexus 5 for that account too. Since doing that, now in the notification toggle shade for Google+ profile toggle it shows that profile picture with the short cut to go to that Google+ account. Which I do NOT want as that is a highly private account! I want it to stay as the original account I have always had that I have set to sync almost everything with.
how I can change what Google+ profile shows in the notification toggle pull down shade? I also noticed when going to Google contacts app under Me section at the top it shows the Google+ profile I don't want. I have tried unchecking and then rechecking the Google+ sync option for the account I wanted to show but that did not resolve it.
In the Google accounts section on my phone settings I noticed my main account is at the top, but when going in the Google+ app and on the left side menu it shows the account I don't want to show in the notification toggle and contacts app, as the account listed at the top. I am thinking that account being on top on the Google+ app is what's causing the issue.
Why does my phone lag really badly after I updated to v50 from v40 using Ovi Suite (via USB)? The kinetic scrolling is really unresponsive now and I also get system errors when I tried to install Skype for Symbian phones.I thought software updates were meant to improve the phone?I am sure I'm not the only person encountering this problem. Will there be a fix soon Nokia?
