My network provider does not support data plans. However I use wi-fi to connect and download applications from Application world. But when I enable Wi-Fi, I can easyly browse over network, but BB application world does not work. After restart it works. So I need every time restart my device to make app world working again.
We just switched our business account from Vodafone to O2 and got MEP unlock codes for all our phones. One of our Blackberry 9700 handsets is hardlocked. I obtained the unlock code from Vodafone but the user managed to put the MEP code in wrong too many times and now I get a message: "Enter Network MEP code (0 left)"I've tried resetting factory defaults as per Vodafone advice and updated to latest OS but still get the same message. Vodafone have basically now told me to contact RIM. Will RIM sort this and how much will it cost?

View 5 Replies View RelatedIt's happened before..But then I factory resetted my phone and it seemed alright for a couple of months but it then started back again today.Suddenly at some places I lose network signal (i.e. from my provider) and obviously it should come back when I go somewhere or whatever.But this time it won't even connect. I've shut down my phone, taken out the battery, taken out the SIM card..EVERYTHING. And I just can't seem to connect back to my network provider. (This isn't WI-FI I'm talking about - just basic network. I can't recieve texts, or anything - and everyone one in my house's network is working perfectly fine!)My phone runs on the original launcher and I only have a couple of apps on it (i.e. just normal whatsapp etc. - NO GAMES)It has about 500MB of free space on the SD Card too.

I have a Sony Ericsson Satio, and yesterday I changed my wallpaper to a picture of a good friend, however, the Network providers name is right in the center of their face and is ruining the wallpaper for me. Is there any way to remove the text 'T-Mobile' from the home screen? I remember it was possible in Samsung or Nokia, not sure which one.Any help greatly appreciated.

When I wake up the phone the phone suddenly doesnt have any connection. i have to put the phone in offline mode and back to normal/silent for it to connect back to the network. it seems only to happen while in standby mode with powersaving mode enabled.

I was told by the representative that the phone was tri-band and would work in the United States, where I live presently. I am emailing from the US where the phone does not work. It does not roam with my UK network (o2), nor will my AT&T sim card work in the phone (sim card registration failed).Any ideas? I am on the eve of receiving my new un-locked Motorola Charm MB502 phone. I have AT&T as the provided but I know even though it is a T-Mobile phone it works on the AT&T network.However I do not have, nor do I want to pay for a data plan. In fact as of now I have a Sony Ericsson C905a from AT&T just for the reason of not having to have a data plan; I don't need it or want to pay the $$. But I am interested in the wi-fi features of the Charm.I started looking into the Charm's user guide and I want to know if anyone can tell me if it is possible and how to set up the phone so it ONLY uses wi-fi to connect to data? Can I block mobile data usage through configuration? I don't want 2 things to happen:Paying for a lot of pay-as-you-use data MB.having AT&T see so many data packets and automatically slap a data plan on my phone.

I have granted them trusted application status, and have even gone in and checked all the permissions manually but some things simply won't allow me to use data. The strange thing is that other apps work fine (google maps, weather channel, facebook etc).

But every few minutes or so I get the alert saying that I "Cannot activate cellular data network - You are not subscribed to a cellular data service", and it's really annoying because it lights up my iPhone all the time and kills my battery. It's also really annoying - it comes up whenever I'm typing a message or playing a game; literally when I do ANYTHING on my phone. I do not have a data plan, but I have used 'unlockit.co.nz' to install a Fake APN to my iPhone to block data. Rogers has also given me a data block. This has been going on ever since I bought the phone, I thought installing a Fake APN would stop it but I guess not. I can't really restore since I have a lot of stuff on this iPhone already.. but if that's the only option then I will be forced to. I used to have an unlocked Fido 3G (about 2 months ago) without data and it never gave me this alert, do you think it has something to do with my 3GS being locked to Rogers?
This phone is a jailbroken iPhone 3GS (model MC143C) running version 3.1.3 (7E18) and locked to the "Rogers 5.0" network. If it helps the modem firmware is 05.12.01.if there are no real solutions, I still have 2 months left on my warranty. Would Apple fix it or give me a new one if I un-jailbreak it?
I am getting extremely frustrated with my video call on my Satio. My husband has the same phone and we both are having trouble. View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased my BB 9700 on March 2010 in Panama. I live in Venezuela and contracted with a local provider the services for the BB device. Everything went perfect until four weeks ago when I was transferring photos from my BB to my computer and updated the OS. After that I noticed I was not receiving emails not BB messages. I went to the local provider and they tried to fix the problem without success. After two or three attemps they concluded my BB was not recognized. They said that the "edge" was not in capital letters "EDGE" so that meant that I could not get the internet services. I placed my simcard in my wife's BB 9700 and the word EDGE showed up. I placed my wife's simcard in my BB and the word "edge" showed up. The conclusion was that my BB had the problem. So I ended up with a BB that's working like a standard cell phone. The provider told me that maybe BB or RIM could have mistakenly deleted my BB from their system.

Or will you have to get it through other service providers that are more on top of their game and releases new OS 6.0s first? i.e. is it going to be like upgrading OS 5.0 where if you want the latest version, you'd have to use another service provider's OS version?
