Im trying to change my network provider from orange to 3, (i have purchased unlocking code) but since putting in the hanset the phone loading bar will only go up so far, not completely to the end to load up phone. is there another way around unblocking the phone so it will accept other sim cards?
View 5 Replies View RelatedIt's happened before..But then I factory resetted my phone and it seemed alright for a couple of months but it then started back again today.Suddenly at some places I lose network signal (i.e. from my provider) and obviously it should come back when I go somewhere or whatever. But this time it won't even connect. I've shut down my phone, taken out the battery, taken out the SIM card..EVERYTHING. And I just can't seem to connect back to my network provider. (This isn't WI-FI I'm talking about - just basic network. I can't recieve texts, or anything - and everyone one in my house's network is working perfectly fine!)My phone runs on the original launcher and I only have a couple of apps on it (i.e. just normal whatsapp etc. - NO GAMES)It has about 500MB of free space on the SD Card too.

My network provider does not support data plans. However I use wi-fi to connect and download applications from Application world. But when I enable Wi-Fi, I can easyly browse over network, but BB application world does not work. After restart it works. So I need every time restart my device to make app world working again.
I have a Sony Ericsson Satio, and yesterday I changed my wallpaper to a picture of a good friend, however, the Network providers name is right in the center of their face and is ruining the wallpaper for me. Is there any way to remove the text 'T-Mobile' from the home screen? I remember it was possible in Samsung or Nokia, not sure which one.Any help greatly appreciated.

I obtained the unlock code from Vodafone but the user managed to put the MEP code in wrong too many times and now I get a message: "Enter Network MEP code (0 left)"I've tried resetting factory defaults as per Vodafone advice and updated to latest OS but still get the same message. Vodafone have basically now told me to contact RIM. Will RIM sort this and how much will it cost?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased an unlocked Nokia 2680 handset in the UK this month to replace a broken handset for my pay-as-you-go O2 sim card. I was told by the representative that the phone was tri-band and would work in the United States, where I live presently. I am emailing from the US where the phone does not work. It does not roam with my UK network (o2), nor will my AT&T sim card work in the phone (sim card registration failed).Any ideas? I thought an unlocked handset bought from an independent provider would work on any network??
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy phone was working properly. Then it went to a screen with the following message: "Configuration error. Please contact your network or service provider". The phone can receive incoming calls, but that is it. I have tried the update service. Result - Your phone has the latest software update.
Using the SE PC Suite, and connecting by using the USB cable, a list of folders is displayed which are empty. Using the "Phone Repair" from the SE PC Suite, and after following the instructions, the only result is - "Update Failed". Please can someone assist me in sorting out this problem?
I contacted Motorola Chat re this not being an option on the phone.
This is the response.
""Call forwarding can only be done by the NETWORK PROVIDER"".
I have contacted Virgin Mobile and still haven't a response from them since monday
What does the "Reset Network Settings" option do? I found this suggestion under the "calls connection issues" topic and all it says is that it will "clear current cellular and Wi-Fi network settings, saved networks, Wi-Fi passwords and VPN settings" but doesn't go into any details of what happens next. Will the phone just automatically reassign the proper settings or will I have a dead phone? I'm on Verizon and have iPhone 4S, OS 5.1 The reason I went looking is because when I first got the iPhone in Jan 2012, I would have issues with calls going straight to voicemail even though my phone was on and showing strong reception. The phone wouldn't ring or anything and then I wouldn't get my VM messages until hours later. This would also happen with text messages. I didn't even know there was an issue, nothing on the phone indicated anything like missed calls or bad/no connection, and would only find out when friends told me or I'd listen to the VM. And it didn't happen all the time just every now and again.
So I had to call Verizon several times and on the last call they refreshed my network line, so I didn't have to do a phone wipe/reset, and that seemed to do the trick. But just today I discovered that now calls are just ringing, but not ringing on my handset. So I have to dial *832 to test the line, which passes, and then everything is fine again:calls come through, and all texts that were held in purgatory while this anomaly happens, come through immediately. So I'm wondering if resetting the network will solve my issue. Is anyone experiencing the same? BTW, yes, I've checked the most obvious thing, and no, I do not have my ringer silenced, off, or have the switch on red.
I bought an iPhone 4G in Hong Kong official Apple store, and now using it in Russia. They said it is oficially unlocked. I never did jail or anything inappropriate within the user licence. Recently I upgraded the device to iOS 5, then to 5.0.1 and 5.1, but the problem still remains. Unfortunately, the Apple guarantie is availiable only at the local place in Hong Kong. The problem is there is no network (EDGE, GPRS, 3G) in the iPhone, it means there is NO sign and NO symbol of network (small circle/E/3G) next after the network name. Of course, none of internet service is availiable. Nothing changes when I'm playing with switching the network switches (in Network menu). I contacted my local network company and they said that none of GPRS services are missing in my account, the GPRS support is on, so they don't know why the network is absent. There is no doubt about network parameters - my son has iPhone 3Gs with the same operator, and parameters he has action pretty well. Do you have any ideas? Is it the problem of Hong Kong->Russia transfer? Maybe this device isn't compatible?

My friend has an i4 4.0 jailbroke from jailbreakme. After jailbreak everything work fine for him. He had MMS working fine he could send and receive MMS no problems. Well the other day he tried to send an MMS and it wouldn't send out. It tries to send and the little bar on the top when you send a message comes up and it goes about 95 percent of the way and stops then he gets the red explanation mark after about 1 minute. So it doesn't go through. He has tried the Iphone Delivery repo and it didn't work, he has reset his network settings didn't work. Was wondering if anyone had any other advice? His facetime works fine no problems there. I assume the next step is a restore which he already knows but he is trying to fix it without restoring.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI know when you upgrade to iOS4 it updates the carrier file to AT&T 7.0. Being on 7.0 doesn't allow me to input my own Cellular Data Network settings. Is there another IPCC for at&t that will work on iOS4 and allow me to input my own cellular data network settings? Something to like the pictures I've posted.
