Sep 9, 2011There appear to be two ways to get to voicemail on the Bionic (regular voicemail, not visual voicemail which I don't use). The first way is to pull down the notification bar when the voicemail icon shows up there, then press it to check the voicemail. The second is the voicemail app which is on the phone. Pressing that app icon brings up another screen that says call voicemail and also tries to sell you the Verizon visual voicemail service.
After getting the phone, I went to Settings, Call Settings, Voicemail Settings and inserted some pauses and my password so that when I dial voicemail I don't have to do anything but listed to the first message. After doing this I sent myself a test voicemail to verify that it was working properly. When I use the first way described above, it works fine - just like it used to work on the OG Droid. I press the notification button and the phone automatically dials voicemail, puts in my information, and I hear the voicemail without having to interact with the phone.
When I use the voicemail app, it does not appear to pick up the settings I inserted, all it does is dial *86. As a result, it wants me to enter my password before letting me listen to the voicemail. Is there some place I can enter the same settings that work with the other method into the voicemail app so it works the same way or do I just delete the icon from my home screen and use the old tried and true method. I cannot find any place that I can enter setting information into the app.
IPhone :: Account Settings, Payment Type Screen Keeps Refreshing Before I Can Enter Credit Card Info?
Apr 7, 2012When I try to download and app, I am prompted to input payment verification info on the account settings screen. The screen automatically refreshes itself every 10 seconds or so, not leaving me with enough time to input my info. Because of this, I can't put any apps on my phone.

Oct 26, 2012I installed google maps about a week ago. Since that time I cannot enter my app world.When I go to Blackberry ID account..I get message "Unable to retrieve your blackberry ID account information. I cannot download new apps. How do I delete google maps that I suspect may be causing all of the problems, since it is asking for permission to obtain personal information when I try to start.

Oct 20, 2011I just got my blackberry a couple days ago and it's driving me nuts trying to get this set up. I'm pretty techno savy, but not when it comes to this phone.
I set up an account through the blackberry but then I couldn't for the life of me remember what password I put on it. So that became a nightmare and I ended up deleting that account and set up a new one through the computer.
Now whenever I try and log into this, like app world to try and get things set up and started - I get the error message "enter the username associate with this smartphone".
So I enter in the new username/password I set up and it doesn't work So of course I did try getting all the blackberry programs set up on my computer and hook the phone up to my computer - but my house is a dead zone for cells - so I can't get it set up because I can't access my 'data plan' in my house.
I've registered my phone, I've taken the battery out all that fun stuff - but it's still not working! This is driving me BONKERS - I can't set up emails, bbm anything because I can't log into my account

Dec 14, 2011I just switched from a Storm 2 to the Torch 9810. My Torch will not enter landscape mode or even move from the portrait mode, so basically the accelerometer seems inop. I have pulled the battery and it will work for a few hours but then it stops again. I am trying to avoid pulling the battery every 8 hours. I have read online that the problem might be related to my transferring some old BB 5 settings to my new phone but don't know how to undo this.

When I enter the data it says this does not match with a valid Backberry ID. Jul 27, 2011Been waiting for my Torch to arrive (my first own BB) Have been using friends old Bold and had it all set up with my email, contacts etc. (never went via my Mac). So was all ready to copy data & settings - firstly hit the problem of not being able to use mini-CD for BB User Tools with my Mac - so downloaded it from internet as well as BB Desktop Software 6.Despite the basic printed instructions which came with my Torch telling me I would get a Dialog box with the option to "copy Data and settings from another device" - there appears to be no such option available. The options seem very limited. My friends who lent me the Bold keep talking about using Desktop Manager and certainly so many posts I read here mention it - but it doesn't seem to exist on the software I have.

Nov 3, 2011I set my convenience key to the clock setting, and it's been working fine until today. Now the clock keeps randomly popping up even when I don't click the side key. I plugged in my phone to my laptop earlier today--could that have affected it somehow? I've tried a hard reset, and I've messed around with the convenience key settings. Nothing has worked--I'm just locking my phone and setting it off to the side for now.

May 23, 2011When I go into the mailbox on my Torch, and click on "options", nothings happens, so I've tried the same with "Messages" , and nothing happens. Text Messages options work, so I have no idea what could be wrong. its been like this since I got it. No matter how I try access it, I just can't, it doesn't do anything. Even if I go to "Setup", "Email Accounts", when I click on "Internet Mail Account", it does nothing. However "Enterprise Account" works. Mar 2, 2012When I got my Torch, I was really glad that I was able to just set the Normal Profile and then the other Profiles just adjust accordingly when selected. I was messing around with my Profile settings today, and I somehow got my Vibrate Only Profile for the Phone's Vibration settings out of sync from the Normal Profile. Before it had "(Normal)" in front of "Custom" but now it's gone, see attachment. Is there a way I could set it back somehow?
