today i configured my Enterprise mail account, then I saw Email settings for signature and everything, but after some time it vanished, only thing I can see is HTML settings and Delivery settings.
View 2 RepliesI have tried to chnage a few settings in the process of getting a longer battery life and now I cannot see the "sync email to handheld "or email signatures under email Preferences anymore. Not sure what I chnaged. I only see ënable HTML Email" there now. Not getting any emails delivered under Desktop anymore. Have tried removing the battery and restarting phoen, still no luck. How do I get this back to normal settings?

I've been using it lightly for the past year or so and I hardly downloaded anything in that time.Lately, however, I've been downloading a bunch of apps and today I was informed via text message that I had surpassed my limit of 500 megs.Talking to Rogers support, we discovered that the Connection Preferences button under Network and Connections, then Mobile Network, wasn't there. He said it should be between Mobile Network and Network Selection Mode, which it wasn't.I have no option to have my phone switch automatically to my wireless when I'm back at my apartment, and as a result, it's using my Mobile Network to download everything, hence going over this month.Short of having to turn off my mobile network while I download stuff via my wireless (which means I won't be able to receive calls), what am I supposed to do? The guy on the phone told me to update my software, but I just tried through Blackberry Desktop and it said there was no update available.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAnyone else missing the 'Edit Signature' option under Email Settings on their 9650? I just noticed this afternoon it's not there. I'm running 5.0.0.810 on BES.Not sure how long it has been missing; if it has been gone since June since I switched from my 8330 to this 9650 or if it was when I upgraded from .732 to .810.
Just wanted to check, I'll probably try downgrading back to .732 to see if it brings it back.I've actually only got three options under Email Settings; Enable HTML, Download images and Confirm external image download.
I am trying to change my email settings as i changed my email account. When i go to "Setup", "Email Accounts", then click on "Internet Mail Account", it simply circulates back to "Email Accounts". It keeps doing this repeatedly. I have done a soft and hard reset (by removing battery) and have updated software but nothing seems to help.

When I go into the mailbox on my Torch, and click on "options", nothings happens, so I've tried the same with "Messages" , and nothing happens. Text Messages options work, so I have no idea what could be wrong. its been like this since I got it. No matter how I try access it, I just can't, it doesn't do anything. Even if I go to "Setup", "Email Accounts", when I click on "Internet Mail Account", it does nothing. However "Enterprise Account" works. I do have an email account on it, but ever since I tried to access settings it doesn't work. I don't know what else to do,I've tried battery pulls, and all that stuff.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recieved my Torch a few days ago and set up my gmail account on the handset which has been working perfectly. I've had to change my password for gmail on my account. However, when attempting to access the email accounts set up my phone will not let me into the option. Everything else works fine except this. I need my emails for work but, as I can't change the gmail password on my phone or add/delete any form of email account it's a little frustrating, especially as I got this phone due to it being praised for how good emails are on Blackberry. Are they working on a fix for this? I can't even access the Blackberry Internet service even though I have registered my phone.

I recently upgraded the firmware to version 6.0.0.2534 and since then I am no longer able to access my email account settings or add a new email account. I downgraded to the previous version, but still the problem, upgraded again but no luck. Every time I try to access my e mail settings it tells me to contact my provider, and sometimes the phone just freezes. I've tried all the various battery pulls but nothing. After spending hours on the phone with my provider, they tell me that the problem is not theirs but Blackberry!

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just replaced my Blackberry Torch 9800 with an identical device. There is a User name and Password needed to access e-mail settings.
My device prev iously remembered the User Name and Password (e.g., when I had to synchronize my e-mail whenever the password for the e-mail account changed) but now that the device has been replaced, it is now asking for this information which I have misplaced. Is there an easy way to re-set this password?
I do not remember the User name either (it says the password can be sent to the device if the correct User name is provided). Unfortunately right now I cannot access any e-mail on the device.
I recently created a back up of my phone. I followed the wrong advice and wiped the phone. So I went back and restored my back up. Everything backed up, however, the phone went back to default everything, selecting any tab or icon on the set up page will lock the phone when you try to back out or close, and emails cannot be configured - the emails reloaded but I cannot send, receive, or change any email settings - I get error message"unable to open email setup application. contact your wireless service provider." The MAIN issue now is my wireless service provider is not aware of this problem and they keep trying to send me updates via email not accepting that I cannot get my emails from my phone anymore. and are baffled that removing the battery and restarting isn't working?

But I am having difficulty accessing the email settings on my Torch so that I can tap in the new password. I go to "Set up" and then have the choice of "Internet mail account" or "Enterprise account". I click on the first one and get a page entitled "existing users". I then have to tap in my user name and password. I assume this refers to my blackberry username and password. But when I tap the info in and press "continue" I get a message saying "The user name is invalid. A user name must be at least 4 characters". My user name is my gmail address which includes 16 letters before @gmail.com.

I have tried accessing via the setup menu, where nothing happens when I select "Email Accounts" (even after a hard reboot), and through the Options menu in the messages folder. When I access it from there I get a message that says to contact the service provider.

I have managed to set up several email accounts by simply going into the 'email" option in the "messaging" menu, but I can't set the phone to check for emails automatically or to notify me of new emails, etc, etc, in other words, I have no menu option, for adjusting the settings for emails. I am running the latest version of the software
version 10.60.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI recently had my iPhone (4, 16GB, GSM from AT&T) unlocked (by AT&T, and saw confirmation in iTunes). I am now using a prepaid carrier, and needed to change my APN settings for there system, however the APN settings are not available in the phone (Settings >> General >> Network), the only option I have is Cellular Data (on/off). I wound up using unlockit to load an APN profile for my carrier, home come if the phone is unlocked we cannot change the APN settings (something we need to do in order to use data on ohter carriers)? AT&T unlocked the iPhone for me but all the settings still point to AT&T unless I use alternative means.
I did not know if I was mising something or if this feature is not enabling properly on unlocked devices, or what was happening, I was hoping maybe some other people have figured out how to make this option show, or if they have not maybe Apple or AT&T need to see that the Ulocked devices are not able to change data settigns from AT&T settings, I am not sure what is happening, but I would like to fix it (hopefully, or at least make it noted that it is a problem).
I have tried Reloading iOS from iTunes (recovery) and that pops up the Message "Congratulations, your iPhone has been unlocked" in iTunes, but I do not see the APN settings, I do not want to Jailbreak the iPone and I should not have to since I have it unlocked, I just want to be able to change the settings to allow other carrier data plans.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I got my phone all the tethering stuff was in place as normal.. I tried it out on my mac and it worked great.. Then my phone crashed, got it running good to go now.. So the other night I needed internet, go into settings, turn ON tethering.. Open macbook, wait, nothing.. go back into settings on my iPhone and there is no longer anything left even related to tethering.. GONE!
So where did it go and how can I get it back is what I am wondering? 3.1.2j, telus network Canada, originally at&t.
Also, is there a way to force a carrier update? When I got one the first time it didnt show me the cellular data network settings, after the reset of the phone thats there and I had to enter in the information all manually for MMS, internet, etc.friggin problems.. nothing ever wants to work right.
I turned Siri off about a month and a half ago after it eating my battery away, but I thought it was time to start using it again. I went to the general tab to find my Siri is missing. Below is a picture to prove it.
And here is a shot of the Location Services to show that I do indeed own a 4S.
I will probably do a reset/restore tonight some time, but I just wanted to know if this is a known problem or bug.
