BB Bold :: Email Settings Icon Missing In Setup Folder?
Jun 29, 2011My email settings icon is missing in my Setup Folder. I only have three icons available in my Setup Folder; the icon for Setup Wizard Wi-Fi Settings and Bluetooth Settings. how I can retrieve the email Settings icon on my BB Bold 9700 so I am able to set up my internet email account on my BB?

Jan 3, 2010My battery came out, and when I turned my Blackberry Curve 8900 back on , my SMS folder was missing.I was able to find it by:
1. Clicking the blackberry button
2. Clicking messages
3. Clicking the BB button again and scrolling to "View Folder"
There I have options like "browser messages" "facebook messages" "mms inbox" etc.
There are two sections SMS inbox and SMS outbox. I can get to my text messages that way, but its really tedious. If I click on SMS inbox it takes me to what used to be my text screen. When I click the BB button again, there are no "move options"Anyone know how to get it back to being its own icon on the front screen?
BB Tour 9630 :: Missing Email Folder After Update / AOL Going To Messages Folder
Apr 14, 2010Updated my Blackberry software to v5.0 on my Tour 9630 and now I'm missing my AOL email folder. Now receiving my emails in my messages folder. Does anyone have a solution to getting my AOL email folder back and getting my emails sent there as well. I've tried a couple things with no luck!

May 4, 2012Today I noticed that the email folder is not there any more. Only the messages folder exists. I tried removing the battery. Erasing the email account and re-creating it, but no luck. Emails are in the main messages folder but I do not see a seperate email folder. .

Jan 25, 2011i was navigating with my phone the other day and i think the battery was low. Everything was running very slowely and somehow i accidentally deleted the first mail folder on the start screen. I can't remember what that folder was called but it included all the email addresses that i have plus messages as far as phone messages...it was a sort of summary folder i think. So is there a way to restore it? I didn't see that i was deleting or moving. Just saw the results of the folder not being present anymore.
The other problem that has existed since i have had this phone is that two of the email addresses never show the emails. If i go into the folder it says simply *no messages* and yet there is at the bottom of the screen what you see in the attached image....that there is a message. Plus at the top there is a little notification icon saying the number of unread messages.

Aug 9, 2010I wanted to see if there is a way to only password protect the email icon on the IPhone 4. I am little uncomfortable when I let people check out my phone and are able to easily see my emails and personal information. My sister, friends, etc. Some people are noisy and it would make me feel much more comfortable knowing my email is locked when people are checking out my phone. So is there an application that can password protect the email folder?

Aug 23, 2010Can anyone please explain why i have a new 'mini orange envelope' icon with a 'thin swirly line round it' at the bottom of my folder on my 2 x hotmail accounts folders? They used to just be plain envelopes icons. Has something happened that I should be aware of or is something saved? What is this new icon alerting me to? or is this just a creative upgrade?(I auto-upgraded my BB Desktop Software to 6.0.0.40 recently, is this related?)I have always had a 'mini globe' icon at the bottom of my folder for my Gmail account. This has stayed the same. Does it perhaps represent a pop/hotmail account as opposed to a gmail-forwarded account?

Dec 17, 2011I just had an OS update to the phone today (12/17/11) And as usual I had to resetup everything on the phone. Well I setup three email accounts, one of which is gmail (my main one). It is the only one of the three that did not create an icon when I confirmed it was setup. It only shows up messages in the main messaging icon for all email accounts.I have hard restarted the phone, I have uninstalled and reinstalled all the emails again, nothing changes.

It doesn't even show up in the menu (device/delete data) after I sync'd. I do receive messages but without notification. Also the character length is only 28 per message (incoming). Outgoing is OK. Contacts are all there.the SMS in the menu there is ticked. Also I do not receive FaceBook notifications.

Jul 20, 2011My email icon (the one associated with an email account added via Blackberry Internet Service) has disappeared after upgrading the Blackberry Device Software via Blackberry Desktop.At the same time after the upgrade Email Setup does no work. Clicking on the setup icon -> email gets the clock timer for 1 second and then nothing.I've now downgraded back to device operating system 6.0 bundle 905 which has made the email setup icon workagain but no email icon has returned.I've requested the service books which have been successful, but no icon. I've removed and reinserted the battery.I can read messages from the general message icon which shows email is getting to the device but I'd prefer the original functionality of a seperate email icon per account appearing in the All Icons section.I think 6.0 bundle 2647 seems a liitle flaxy or something got corrupted at upgrade.

Her emails stopped pushing so I re-sent the service books and now they work again.But now one of her email folders has completely disappeared but she still gets messages from that account seen in the combined Messages folder.I've tried battery pulls and deleting and re-adding the account but still no folder shows up for it, I can only see those messages through the "Messages" folder which is annoying.
