My blackberry messenger has been working fine since I bought my blackberry. However, when i went to upgrade it today, it upgraded and then when I clicked on the icon it said uncaught exception, so I unistalled then deleted the app. Then I reinstalled it. It is showing on application management, and it is reinstalled, however I can't seem to find the app! What can I do to get it back?
I upgraded my BB 9900 with the new version of bbm 6.2.0.56 on 12/11/2012 with 18modules and did the sysn to the bb desktop manager. to my surprise I dont see the bbm icon any more. I have looked andsearched it everywhere from instant messages folder to search icon but it's no where found
How can I recover the email set up in the setup menu?I only have the setup wizard, the WI-FI set up and the Bluetooth set up.I have already reset to factory defaults without success. My mobile is Curve 8520 with OS V5.0.0.681
Recently reloaded software to support enterprise activation for a new enterprise. My personal email is being received in the main inbox as well as my enterprise mail. However, I can't seem to get my personal email icon to display (thus I'm not being notified of new messages)
For some reason the "Manage Connections" icon is missing from my BB menu.I did a "Show All", but it still isn't showing anywhere. The only way for me to get into this app is to assign the right side button to the "Manage Connections" app via the "Screen/Keyboard" options item.
My email icon (the one associated with an email account added via Blackberry Internet Service) has disappeared after upgrading the Blackberry Device Software via Blackberry Desktop. At the same time after the upgrade Email Setup does no work. Clicking on the setup icon -> email gets the clock timer for 1 second and then nothing.I've now downgraded back to device operating system 6.0 bundle 905 which has made the email setup icon workagain but no email icon has returned.I've requested the service books which have been successful, but no icon. I've removed and reinserted the battery.I can read messages from the general message icon which shows email is getting to the device but I'd prefer the original functionality of a seperate email icon per account appearing in the All Icons section.I think 6.0 bundle 2647 seems a liitle flaxy or something got corrupted at upgrade.
Yesterday I downgraded from 603 to 517, and lost an icon for my local email on suddenlink.net. I went to setup, and deleted the account, rebooted, then set it up again. However, I still get no icon for the account.I read a similar post, and it was suggested to log on to the bis (?) server.I can still receive emails using the account, but cannot send without a way to get into it.I am on Vzw, and have never logged on to anything there or at BB that has to do with bis .
My email settings icon is missing in my Setup Folder. I only have three icons available in my Setup Folder; the icon for Setup Wizard Wi-Fi Settings and Bluetooth Settings. how I can retrieve the email Settings icon on my BB Bold 9700 so I am able to set up my internet email account on my BB?
I had an error on my BB 9900 so I had to reinstall the software it did do! Then I installed all my date with Blackberry protect. Now my email is set up and I do receive emails but my icon is not on my phone?
Today I noticed that when I hit the mute button on the top of my phone that it no longer takes me to my media folder. I thought the button may have broken somehow, however, after locking my phone I hit the button and it unlocked it just fine. So apparently its not broken, it just up and quit taking me to my media. Is there a way to set the mute button as a shortcut again so I don't have to go through the menu button to get to my music, pics etc?
I've been wondering why my hotmail shortcut is just the usual envelope-with-small-globe one, because my friend's 9700 has the envelope-with-small-orange-envelope for her hotmail emails. Anyone know how to fix this? I'm running on 9700/5.0.0.862.
after creating a shortcut by mistake I can now not get rid of it. I've tried the standard process of holding down the icon until they are shaking but it does not appear to have any red x in the upper left corner or anything else allowing me to delete it.
I just got the bold 9700 ver. 2 from ATT and don't have the phone icon. It is not hidden, I looked, and not in any other folder. All I have is a phone icon that is for Visual Voice Mail, which I am not signed up for and don't want to be. When I click the VVM icon it says do you want to sign up and I hit No and it just kicks me back to the main screen. How can I get rid of the Visual VM icon and get the Call log icon?
Wasnt just a mere week ago, I had un installed and re installed the Motocast Software; all was fine til about a day or two ago when I noticed that my Shortcut icon of Motocast is no more; want a pic? I'll upload it in a min.
Well once again this is my weekend and again I usually use Motocast on my days off and lol once again I'm having issues. Tried playing back a video file but alas stops within 30seconds. I play again and it stops within 30seconds. Or Ill start to play a file and it takes seconds upon seconds upon seconds just to play the video file.
I do enable Wifi prior to using Motocast so I wouldnt think it has to do with that; but I am pretty sure that when my graphic shortcut icon goes corrupt so does my actual application for it to work properly.
Question is, why does it keep happening? Is it because my Windows Operating System performs some sort of update and causes it go haywire?
In my old Xperia phone, I can create Direct Dial shortcut on Home Screen. In which the icon displayed for the shortcut is the photo in the Contact. However, after I changed to the new Z2, the photo can't be displayed as icon on the Home Screen.
I just got my new Nokia E72, happy with it overall, just a couple of niggles (apart from the build quality), which I'd like to check with more owners of this phone. When I press the EMail shortcut key, on the top right side of the keypad, this shortcut doesn't open the general EMail "folder" where I can see my GMail, Yahoo!, and Hotmail email accounts, instead it opens my Yahoo! email account directly, and I have to go back to the general "folder" to see my other email accounts.
I've tried playing with all the different options, but so far cannot make it work as I think it should be, which would be to go to the main EMail "folder", so I can choose which EMail account I want to open/synchronise, and not just opening the first EMail account I set up. Also, is not downloading the "Sent Items" folder, even though I chose "All" in What to download.
