View 10 RepliesI just put a hard case on my Bionic and I cant actually get it off that easily, so my question is when my phone freezes is there a battery pull shortcut like Power + volume up/down or something?its already happened once... had to take 2 spoons and a screwdriver to get the case open. and id rather not keep doing that so i dont break the case becasue its really good for my Bionic.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWas just wondering, is it even possible to modify the behavior of the power/volume buttons? It's a bit sensitive and imo placed in an odd spot.
It would be great if there was a way to modify it such as :
power button - either disable it, x clicks to turn screen on/off or a long press to turn on/off with a longer press to power down... just examples
volume rocker - disable
The shortcut widget for having shortcuts for apps in the symbian 3 or symbian Anna platform is made for having four shortcuts and nothing less. If at all, one doesn't assign a shortcut to it, still there's an icon that is shown as default when nothing is assigned. Here's what you do...1. Download the app called vacuum.sis from the web. Try this link...www.mediafire.com/?a01dw4w4azasjmn2. Install the app anywhere in your phone, phone memory, mass memory or memory card.3. Now go to homescreen and press and hold to go into edit mode.4. Tap the desired location for adding the shortcut bar and select it from the list of widgets available.5. Once the shortcut bar is added, tap it and go into the settings for adding the shortcuts to it.6. Now if you want to add only one app in the shortcut bar, select the desired location from one to four and add the app. In the rest of the locations, add the vacuum app.7.
Now close the shortcut and return to home screen. You should see only one shortcut in the shortcut bar. This way you can place any one app at any location on the grid with app. What's actually vacuum app? Its a dummy app which when installed, results in an app which doesn't do anything on installation and has a transparent icon. So an unknowing tap on the shortcut also will do nothing. Tada! You've a shortcut bar with just one app... Its customizable between one and four apps. This has been tested and works in my Nokia C7 with Anna. So should work in other symbian
One more of problems i got whit 6P is that when i make screenshot sound isnt played for it but any other screenshot and sound is played properly.
I can replicate this by rebooting device and testing again.
Device is full stock,no root.
I did clear cache in recovery just to be sure and still problem is present.
So I enabled accessibility shortcut, then found it so annoying that I decided to disable it. Luckily, I paid attention for how to scroll and tap, but when I came to the accessibility shortcut feature in the settings page, I turned off the feature, but the accessibility shortcut was still on! There you have it, it's off, but it is still running.

View 2 Replies View RelatedToday I turn my GPS constantly back on but on battery saving mode. Have it when I use Google Maps and 17 high accuracy. Any way to add a shortcut to the home screen to quickly toggle this GPS location based settings so I don't have to go into the main menu settings and talk to it that way?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI was just wondering if there was a way for me to have both security and convenience.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWasnt just a mere week ago, I had un installed and re installed the Motocast Software; all was fine til about a day or two ago when I noticed that my Shortcut icon of Motocast is no more; want a pic? I'll upload it in a min.
Well once again this is my weekend and again I usually use Motocast on my days off and lol once again I'm having issues. Tried playing back a video file but alas stops within 30seconds. I play again and it stops within 30seconds. Or Ill start to play a file and it takes seconds upon seconds upon seconds just to play the video file.
I do enable Wifi prior to using Motocast so I wouldnt think it has to do with that; but I am pretty sure that when my graphic shortcut icon goes corrupt so does my actual application for it to work properly.
Question is, why does it keep happening? Is it because my Windows Operating System performs some sort of update and causes it go haywire?
I love stock phone dialer on our phones, but is there anyway to get a voicemail shortcut in the phone dialer at all?
View 5 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to prevent or disable using the shortcut settings from the lock screen?
This person could easily turn the screen on, flop the screen down twice, use the short cut settings to turn off the Cellular data, preventing me from finding my phone using the device manager on the web.
Isn't this a security issue?
I am using LG Nexus 5, Android 5.0.1.
I just got my nexus 6p i noticed when i press power button I only see switch off option nothing else (restart or aeroplane mode etc) I scanned through everything and could not find anything,Attaching screen shot.

Info:
iPhone, iOS 5.1
So, the 6P is a sodding big phone and I have fairly small hands.
Switching on to an unlocked state using the fingerprint reader is easy. Switching off requires the power button, which means wrestling the damn thing into a position where I can press the button.
I've looked at a few apps that switch off the screen with a shake or gesture, but these always result in a pattern request to unlock fully when turning back on with the fingerprint reader. Looking at this thread, it seems the Nova Launcher double-tap off function results in the same secondary security challenge when switching back on.
I assume this is because the third-party double-tap/shake/gesture event is only turning the screen off, not actually locking the device as the power button would.
is there any way to enable vibration while using power saving?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe phone vibrates pretty strong when you double tap to Power to launch the camera. I don't see any option in settings to adjust vibration Intensity. Just wish I could turn off the vibration.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAny way to boost bluetooth playback volume. I have beats wireless studio headphones and they are definitely not as loud as they were when using them with my g3 on CM12. I do remember them being this low on the stock lg rom but when I switched over to CM the sound drastically increased. I am looking for a no root solution if possible as I am stock for the time being. I can't even feel any bass from these things and that's what they are supposed to be for.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIt's weird. I'm not talking about DND. Seems as though every time I put ringer on vibrate it reverts back to sound after a while. Same with the media volume. I don't get it?!?!?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have observed this since day 1 on my nexus 6p, that up till 70% volume level (volume steps), the sound is barely audible in lightly noisy room and then from 75% to 100% (volume steps) volume increases drastically and is loud, crisp & clear!
View 6 Replies View RelatedSometimes when I silence the phone (vibrate) by holding the volume down button then later turn the sound back on, the phone will not make any sounds at all. No ringer for calls, no sample sounds while browsing the sound picker, etc. until the phone is restarted. Latest build (M) and rooted.
View 6 Replies View RelatedHaving issue with the audio cutting out when the volume is up high when using headphones? For example, during a phone call, if things get loud, the audio will start popping.
View 3 Replies View RelatedOn my old Note 3 it had a separate volume for the phone ringer and a separate volume for the notification tones, like my text messages. I have noticed on my Nexus 6P that it seems the ringer and notification volume controls are the same. I use to turn my text message volume almost completely off at night and leave my phone ringer turned up some. But I have not been able to do that on the Nexus 6P. Am I missing something or are these two volumes on the same control? I am rooted and running Pure Nexus. I need separate volumes controls for them.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI swapped from a Nexus 5 to the 6P, and I'm finding bluetooth volume to be incredibly low. I basically can't hear my audiobooks in the car with it being as low as it is. This is a serious problem for me. I have the volume maxed and it's like a whisper.
View 1 Replies View RelatedYesterday the volume down button and power button started not working. This has happened before and usually if I turn it off and on again the problem is fixed. That's not working this time. The power button works about 2/3rds of the time and the down volume button won't work at all, it sometimes even lowers the volume by itself. Because of this problem, whenever I turn the phone off and on again it brings me to the fastboot page and puts my phone on safemode, which I can't get out of. I've tried taking the battery out and putting it back in, doing a factory data reset, and using recovery mode.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHaving issue when pressing the power button, the lockscreen will come back on for about 3 seconds and then turn off again. I can't figure out what is causing this to happen.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm running stock 6.0.1 rooted with Xposed (only using gravitybox). When I do the double tap on power to launch the camera, nothing happens other than the power button functioning normally. It did work at one point but I'm not sure if it was an app, Xposed or a system setting which stopped this feature from working. I tried disabling Gravitybox but left Xposed itself still installed. I've also tried changing the "Power buttons locks instantly" setting under Security but that didn't make any difference either.
