Sometimes when I silence the phone (vibrate) by holding the volume down button then later turn the sound back on, the phone will not make any sounds at all. No ringer for calls, no sample sounds while browsing the sound picker, etc. until the phone is restarted. Latest build (M) and rooted.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I switched to the HTC One from the iPhone it was annoying that I no longer has a simply sound/vibrate switch anymore. It ended up not being THAT big a deal though since I was able to simply adjust the volume and/or sound profile of the device by waking it up and pushing the volume buttons. However on the Nexus 5, it's been quite frustrating because the only way to adjust the volume of the device is to wake up the device, unlock it and THEN adjust the volume. Not sure why Google would force you to take 3 separate steps to simply change the volume but it doesn't make much sense. Are there any apps or other tweaks (without being forced to root) that will allow me to adjust to volume from the lock screen (or even with the screen off)?!

No media applications are running. This does it on the home screen, browsing on line, in the market etc etc.lso, battery life? I can honestly (no exaggeration) sit there and watch the battery count down 59...58... Dud battery? Cant seem to make mine last a whole day without it dieing. View 2 Replies View RelatedAny way to boost bluetooth playback volume. I have beats wireless studio headphones and they are definitely not as loud as they were when using them with my g3 on CM12. I do remember them being this low on the stock lg rom but when I switched over to CM the sound drastically increased. I am looking for a no root solution if possible as I am stock for the time being. I can't even feel any bass from these things and that's what they are supposed to be for.

View 3 Replies View RelatedOn my old Note 3 it had a separate volume for the phone ringer and a separate volume for the notification tones, like my text messages. I have noticed on my Nexus 6P that it seems the ringer and notification volume controls are the same. I use to turn my text message volume almost completely off at night and leave my phone ringer turned up some. But I have not been able to do that on the Nexus 6P. Am I missing something or are these two volumes on the same control? I am rooted and running Pure Nexus. I need separate volumes controls for them.

I've noticed today only ( I purchased the phone around the end of February 2014 new direct from Apple) that the ringer volume is going from mute to regular volume setting I have it on by itself. It erratically changes from mute to volume to mute and back again flashing on the screen like its possessed, when its just sitting there...not being touched at all...

View 10 Replies View RelatedThe Volume Down button is jammed (the phone fell and landed on its edge slightly crushing the frame where the volume down is). Curiously the Volume Up button still increased the volume.
After turning the phone off the problem came when turning on the phone as it now only boots into the bootloader as a result of the jammed Volume Down button. Once in bootloader mode, the volume up/down buttons do not change the reboot options - it appears the stuck Volume Down button is causing this.
The way to fix this is to take the phone apart (as per the Youtube clips) and physically straighten the frame. This is no easy task, so the question: is there a way around this so that the phone can boot?It's rooted and fastboot commands work. (I installed TWRP but can only boot to recovery with adb).
I noticed that my phone have uneven speaker volume. ( top is louder than bottom )
Majority of apps out there only allow adjustment to overall volume...
Any way to access the service menu to Increase Headphone volume? I am not rooted. So service menu is my only option to Increase the volume.

I can replicate this by rebooting device and testing again.
Device is full stock,no root.
I did clear cache in recovery just to be sure and still problem is present.
I have encountered this multiple times. The sound is coming normally and just goes off without any reason.
The sound comes back if I pause the audio/ video and then replay. However, after 2-3nutes the sound goes back again.
The only solution is to restart the phone and then the sound is OK for around 2-3 days.
1) During listening music on google play music.
2) During watching video on VLC player
This is a default Australian nexus with default rom and all the updates from Google. NOT rooted.
I have one major issue with my N6P, the in-call volume is way too low... I can barely hold a conversation in the street or in the tube.
I didn't have this problem with my nexus 5. How I could boost the in-call sound ?

My nexus 6p has worked fine for months however I woke up yesterday morning to find it would not play a video on YouTube. Continuing to use it I noticed the following symptoms:Wont play videos of any kind (youtube, Facebook etc)Speakers do not work at all phone hangs and will not connect during incoming or outgoing calls. The call may connect after several minutes of the screen hanging on the blue calling screen however speakers don't work anyway.Phone restarts itself randomly.I have tried a hard reset from recovery, wiped cache, booted to safe mode etc with no change. The phone is bone stock and has not been rooted.

OK, gmail seems to work. Now just hangouts not working.
When I record a video on my Nexus 6 P when the camera focuses you can hear a purring or a tapping sound. easiest way to recreate this is to do it tap focus by focusing on the far and back on a near object.
Is it a faulty device or all have this issue. Im recording in 4k.
