Cant seem to make mine last a whole day without it dieing. I'm using task killers etc to make sure no apps are running that i dont want running whilst it's in my pocket etc
View 2 Replies View RelatedHow can I turn off any sound when a new email message is received.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSometimes when I silence the phone (vibrate) by holding the volume down button then later turn the sound back on, the phone will not make any sounds at all. No ringer for calls, no sample sounds while browsing the sound picker, etc. until the phone is restarted. Latest build (M) and rooted.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've noticed today only ( I purchased the phone around the end of February 2014 new direct from Apple) that the ringer volume is going from mute to regular volume setting I have it on by itself. It erratically changes from mute to volume to mute and back again flashing on the screen like its possessed, when its just sitting there...not being touched at all...

View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I switched to the HTC One from the iPhone it was annoying that I no longer has a simply sound/vibrate switch anymore. It ended up not being THAT big a deal though since I was able to simply adjust the volume and/or sound profile of the device by waking it up and pushing the volume buttons. However on the Nexus 5, it's been quite frustrating because the only way to adjust the volume of the device is to wake up the device, unlock it and THEN adjust the volume. Not sure why Google would force you to take 3 separate steps to simply change the volume but it doesn't make much sense. Are there any apps or other tweaks (without being forced to root) that will allow me to adjust to volume from the lock screen (or even with the screen off)?!
View 9 Replies View RelatedSince installation of WhatsApp on my (recently purchased) Nexus 5, when vibration setting is set to "default" in application, the phone does not vibrate on receipt of a new WhatsApp message, even while system settings are set to "Vibrate when Ringing".
It vibrates though when the WhatsApp vibration settings are set to 'Short' or 'Long'
So basically, the "default" mode in vibration settings of WhatsApp is not ruled by the system settings, rather follows the rule - Vibrate when the phone is set on silent, and do not vibrate when ringing is enabled.
Is this how it is supposed to work? Because as per my read around I got an impression that default mode is to govern the app notification as per system setting. Am I missing something?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a new LG G4 and I can't seem to turn off or turn down notification sound. You cannot turn down the volume of notifications without turning down the volume of your call ringtone. It's such a basic thing to do, but I can't figure it out. I decided I'd load a ringtone of Silent or None but Verizon's LGG4 does not have that option, again very poor design. While trying to load another ringtone, I went to settings, apps, sound, and hit the small + sign to load a new ringtone and was greeted with another one of those "Do you want to use this action, or that app, or whatever" and then the option "always" or "Just once" and without thinking I chose "Always" now I can't get to the media browser? I tried to clear defaults but can't find the sound app that controls this? Where is this setting?
View 1 Replies View RelatedFirst the notification sound I get when I receive a text message is not the notification sound I selected in the sound settings. Not sure why that is?
Also, can you have a quieter text message volume but keeping the ringer high? I want to hear my phone at work, but don't need to be blasted with a text message notification ever time I recieve one.
OK my ringtones are fine when a call is incoming but message notifications are pathetic. The volume is about 40% the preview (I know it's linked to media volume) but even on max the message notification is really weak, there's no x-loud for us to boost the speakers and all other settings do nothing for volume.
View 10 Replies View RelatedHaving volume issues with Spotify on their GS6? Today it was lower than usually while driving. And Spotify volume always drops during a notification. Is this just the app?
View 15 Replies View RelatedJust switched to a HTC One dual sim 802d from iphone 5 a few weeks back. One issue I'm facing with the One is the call waiting notification beep volume level is too low. Most of the times, when I'm on a call and if someone else calls my no. I don't even come to know that call waiting was activated as the notification beep volume is just plain too low.
Its okay on speakerphone mode, but when I have the set next to my ear, I just can't hear that beep. Never had the issue with iphone 5 or my earlier Nokia's before the HTC one, on most of these the call waiting beep would be too darn loud and annoying, now its just way to low. Spoke to HTC Tech Support and the guy asked to me increase the Ring volume to max and see if that works, but that too made no difference.
Just updated to Android 4.4.2 a few days back and Sense 5.5
I've just got my z3 and updated it to the recent update. Now before this update I was having a play around as you do and I got to admit I really like the phone and is functions. So I went ahead and updated the software. After doing this I noticed that some of the functions that I really liked, for example the mute function has disappeared. No problem I found out you can just use the volume key to do this. However I have been reading about the whole volume setting operates both message and media.
So my question is, can these be separated as in you set the volume for messages without affecting your media volume or do I have to keep adjusting the volume each time I'm finished watching or listening to a media file in order for me to hear my message notifications?
How do I tie the ringer, alert and notification volumes together.
