BB Curve 8900 :: New Email Notification But No New Email Inbox
Feb 17, 2010My blackberry can send and receive new email/message, but I can't read any new email/message in my inbox even the email notification shown there are 17 new message in my inbox. Have check the Firewall setting and it has block anything. Have check all the email folder but no joy, didn't set any email filter.

Jan 20, 2012I used to be able to press the blackberry button (think thats what its called) when in my inbox and get various options including mark as unread (as well as forward, reply to all, etc). I now seem to be able to only do from this from in the email itself as if I am in my in box and press the button I need to hold it down and then I get a shortcut menu appearing. Have I accidently created this or has blackberry changed this as I recently upgraded one of their apps (though thought it was messenger)?

Mar 18, 2010I don't know why this happened, I woke up this morning and it was like this. Whenever I try to open my email inbox the SMS inbox opens. Even if I go directly to my individual accounts on my BB (yahoo and gmail) and try to open them directly, it still opens my SMS inbox. I can't figure this out and can't find an answer. I have to check all my emails my going onto a computer. I still get notifications of new emails on my BB, but can't view them because only the SMS inbox will come up. I need my email inbox to show when I click on my email inbox.

Aug 21, 2014My Iphone4 email inbox is showing there is over 1,000 messages in the inbox but in fact there is only a few and email on my pc shows correctly. I cannot get the phone to show me the correct number of messages. Apart from this problem all email related things are working correctly.
I use Thunderbird.

May 16, 2011I seem to have the magic touch for knowing the secret combination of keys to hit while going over railroad tracks and epic potholes and getting my curve 8520 to immediately jump to the first date in my email inbox, forcing me to waste precious hours of my life and inducing carpal tunnel scrolling alllllllllllllllllllllllll the way back to the current date.Does anyone know how on EARTH got get this thing to jump to the current date in the email inbox and save me a WCB claim, or at least be able to redirect those precious hours doing something far less boring and loathesome, like creating rollicking love songs to dinosaurs?

Apr 14, 2010I have the icon showing up that I received emails but the inbox are empty. When I pull the battery the icon goes away. With the next regular email the icon shows up again. I don't want to have to pull the battery every time I have an empty inbox.

I have couple of email accounts like gmail, hotmail etc ... Whenever i received an email the counter shows the number. like lets say i got 1 mail in gmail and 1 in hotmail, the counter next to YELLOW icon on Top row shows 2.
I want to disable counter for my HOTMAIL account. Is it possible? So that even if i receive any email on hotmail, i shouldnt see the YELLOW mail notification on Top row of main menu.

Apr 12, 2010Justed purchase from Rogers Bold 9700 v5.0.0.351, IT no help from company nor Rogers. I am getting email notification icon from BES but no email is updated or found. Rogers told me to upload the OS again and cannot delete the service books since the BES reloads them again. Unusual problem.SMS works though.

Jan 19, 2016I have been given a lumia 950 at work but used to have an android based phone. I have configured my work email and can see the inbox and all other folders as I should.
The problem then starts here, on my desktop outlook I have email rules that move new emails from certain people into relevant folders for them but on the lumia I only see a notification saying there is new email in the inbox and not for the other folders I have. On the android I used to have this would show all new emails on one screen even if they were in another folder.
How can I be notified of new emails arriving into other folders within my mailbox or have them showing up on the first screen like the android or otherwise the phone will be unusable as I will miss too many important work emails because they don't show me notifications that they have arrived.
