Phone vibrates on receiving email and will not stop till iv read the email, I've got notification as no vibrate but it still vibrates on receiving email on hotmail and gmail (notifications in both set up on vibration is off )

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have Yahoo on my iPhone, right? When I read an email in my Yahoo account on my iPhone, and later log into my Yahoo account, it shows those messages as read. Heck, I can even file my emails away in my folders, if I want to; i.e. move them over to my bills folder, or my purchases folder, or my mom folder.Now, here's the deal with my other account tho. I have my work emails going to my iPhone too. At work, I use Outlook. I do not know a whole lot about how things are set up over here, but I have access to answers if you guys can help me find out the right questions to ask. When I read a work email on my iPhone, and I get to work the next morning, there it is, bold and unread. I really want it to show as read. I get an obnoxious amount of work emails. The whole point in keeping up with them on my phone is to save me time in the long run. So, when I get to work and have to re-read them all, I've saved nothing. How do I configure email to blink the notification light when an email is received? Also, I have 3 email accounts configured: Exchange and 2 Gmail accounts. I changed the Gmail accounts to sync email every 15 minutes. The Exchange account works but not the gmail accounts. Gmail has IMAP already enabled.

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust picked up the M8 and I'm super pleased with just about everything on the phone with the exception of a few things. One of the few things that bugs me about this phone is that I'm constantly missing texts, and e-mail notifications if the phone is in my pocket.
On my old phones, I'd rely on vibration to let me know when I receive incoming texts, or notifications, and on the M8 it seems theres only a single option to enable vibration and not anywhere to intensify, or even change the vibration patterns when receiving texts or other notifications.
Is there anything built into the phone that can intensify the vibration or possibly make it vibrate for a longer duration? I'd hate to download a third party app just to do this, but if thats my only option then I'll be happy to do so.
My phone vibrates for phone calls and texts but not emails.I just want to make sure this is reported somewhere. I called Motorola directly but they are reluctant to report anything.
View 8 Replies View RelatedDid a OS ugrade to 5.0.0.681 yesterday as advised by desktop manager when I connected, problem is now no matter how I configure my profiles the vibration is always there when a call,txt,email comes in-done a battery pull etc.
Some new features are good-others bad!-like when you press the top 'play' button all it does is unlock the fone-instead of playing what music was playing before!.
Any clues on the vibration-it's turned off in all profiles but still ruddy gyrates!.
How do I customize the call notification to vibrate and the text message notification to sound at the same time for vibration mode? The vibration mode works fine for me (both call and message notifications vibrate only), but sound notification for text messages when I am in the middle of something. I am a new Android user and it seems that both settings cannot be done separately for the vibration mode.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi have a Torch 9800 on AT&T and I am running 6.0.0.526. When I reboot my phone, I receive a message "Uncaught Exception: java.lang.NullPointerException." Everything was fine until I did an OTA update to 6.0.0.600 last Friday. After I did the update, I could not change my theme(menu<options would pop up then close and Options<display< screen display would do the same thing) and I would get the error. I downgraded to 6.0.0.526 official and I still had the error but I was able to change my theme. I decided to trim my OS using BBHTool (have done this before with no problems). I am still receiving the error even after several battery pulls. I retrieved my event log from Crackutil and below is what shows up(5 times) for the error.

I have a 9650 with BIS on Sprint. I get my e-mail through OWA. When I open or mark as read an e-mail on my phone, my Outlook inbox on my desktop is updated accordingly. However, when I open an e-mail on my desktop, my inbox on my phone is not updated to show that the e-mail has been opened. I have to go in an mark as read all of the items, which is a royal pain.

This is kind of ********, selecting all of your email and marking it or deleting it has been a feature on every mobile devise for over 5 years. Why isn't it an option on my Iphone. Why is apple trying to make me buy an app for this common task to get done!!!!

Is there a setting some place within K9 that will mark the PC email as read and allow the sever to mark an email as read on the Droid?
I have setup my emails with Email Wizard. I could read my emails several times through both GPRS and WLAN. But it happened and I couldn't read my email through my WLAN connection. It asks me the passwords of all mail accounts. I enter them and it says "Connecting" but then suddenly disconnects. I can browse internet with the regular browser, there is no problem. But what is the problem with the e-mail application? How can i fix this?

I check my emails on a daily on a basis on the computer, but the icon still shows them as unread on my BlackBerry, which in turn leaves the yellow envelope/red asterisk on my home screen.
