I have a 9650 with BIS on Sprint. I get my e-mail through OWA. When I open or mark as read an e-mail on my phone, my Outlook inbox on my desktop is updated accordingly. However, when I open an e-mail on my desktop, my inbox on my phone is not updated to show that the e-mail has been opened. I have to go in an mark as read all of the items, which is a royal pain.
View 2 RepliesOne step forward 2 steps back! I had a problem with my e-mails I stopped receiving messages on Friday and since talking to the service centre I now have 2 icons on my main screen. The new one has a globe at the bottom and my email address at the top when I scroll over it. All very nice but totally unnecessary.
Since this icon has appeared all my emails on my main computer are being marked as read. They were not before Friday Any ideas??
I have Yahoo on my iPhone, right? When I read an email in my Yahoo account on my iPhone, and later log into my Yahoo account, it shows those messages as read. I do not know a whole lot about how things are set up over here, but I have access to answers if you guys can help me find out the right questions to ask. When I read a work email on my iPhone, and I get to work the next morning, there it is, bold and unread. I really want it to show as read. I get an obnoxious amount of work emails. The whole point in keeping up with them on my phone is to save me time in the long run. So, when I get to work and have to re-read them all, I've saved nothing. I asked her to check whether she got my email and she said yes, although she did not open the email. The next time she opens her mail, my message was already marked as "Read".

First of all, this is not my blackberry - it's a customers device.what is happening is when they recive an email on there BB, it is automaticly marked as being read on outlook when downloaded, regardsless if it has been read on the BB or not.

Things I have tried:
-Soft reset
-Hard reset (pulling battery)
-Uninstalling Facebook via app world - made it go away
-Reinstalling Facebook via app world - made it come back
-As far as I can tell, it does not show up in either Messages or Facebook app
-Went to facebook website from laptop and open/cleared all notifications
-Went to mobile facebook website from phone and clicked on link that said "clear all notifications"
-Going into Messages, selecting today's date, then menu button, and "Mark Prior Opened"
-Going into Facebook app, notifications tab, selecting today's date, then menu button, and "Mark Prior Opened"
At this point I would be happy with understanding where the notifications that appear on your homescreen are stored and if I could maybe delete a cache file or something from windows when I have it plugged into my computer.
My incoming email is being marked as read before I read them. It is an att.net email address.Â

I am having tough times trying to figure it out why Gmail messages are not automatically marked as read it on my Blackberry after I read them on my computer at the Google Webmail page. I have just read 5 emails on Google web page and they are still appearing as unread it on my Blackberry. My wife has the iPhone, and it immediately marked messages as read it as well. View 2 Replies View Relatedi have a Torch 9800 on AT&T and I am running 6.0.0.526. When I reboot my phone, I receive a message "Uncaught Exception: java.lang.NullPointerException." Everything was fine until I did an OTA update to 6.0.0.600 last Friday. After I did the update, I could not change my theme(menu<options would pop up then close and Options<display< screen display would do the same thing) and I would get the error. I downgraded to 6.0.0.526 official and I still had the error but I was able to change my theme. I decided to trim my OS using BBHTool (have done this before with no problems). I am still receiving the error even after several battery pulls. I retrieved my event log from Crackutil and below is what shows up(5 times) for the error.

I've had to reinstall my backed up iphone data 4 times and each time I have to manually select all my emails and mark them as read.
This is kind of ********, selecting all of your email and marking it or deleting it has been a feature on every mobile devise for over 5 years. Why isn't it an option on my Iphone. Why is apple trying to make me buy an app for this common task to get done!!!!

I have setup my emails with Email Wizard. I could read my emails several times through both GPRS and WLAN. But it happened and I couldn't read my email through my WLAN connection. It asks me the passwords of all mail accounts. I enter them and it says "Connecting" but then suddenly disconnects. I can browse internet with the regular browser, there is no problem. my Bold 9900. Is it possible to setup e-mail service to sync read e-mail.
I there comes new mail to my Gmail account, it immediately appears in my Bold also. If I read this mail on BB, it is marked as read also in my desktop client and on web interface. But if I read new mail in web interface or desktop client it remains marked as unread in Bold (even after few hours!) and I must mark as readed manualy in phone.
