I'm having an issue with emails being marked as read in my work Outlook Inbox as soon as they are sent to my Torch 9850, even though I have not opened the email on my phone or on my PC.
View 1 RepliesFirst of all, this is not my blackberry - it's a customers device.what is happening is when they recive an email on there BB, it is automaticly marked as being read on outlook when downloaded, regardsless if it has been read on the BB or not.

I had a problem with my e-mails I stopped receiving messages on Friday and since talking to the service centre I now have 2 icons on my main screen. The new one has a globe at the bottom and my email address at the top when I scroll over it. All very nice but totally unnecessary.
Since this icon has appeared all my emails on my main computer are being marked as read. They were not before Friday Any ideas??
All the new emails that I receive on my BB are marked as "read" and when I receive new mail the red star icone is not displayed.

Heck, I can even file my emails away in my folders, if I want to; i.e. move them over to my bills folder, or my purchases folder, or my mom folder.Now, here's the deal with my other account tho. I have my work emails going to my iPhone too. At work, I use Outlook. I do not know a whole lot about how things are set up over here, but I have access to answers if you guys can help me find out the right questions to ask. When I read a work email on my iPhone, and I get to work the next morning, there it is, bold and unread. I really want it to show as read. I get an obnoxious amount of work emails. The whole point in keeping up with them on my phone is to save me time in the long run. So, when I get to work and have to re-read them all, I've saved nothing. I just purchased a Blackberry Curve 9300.. I sent an email (I have a yahoo account) using my blackberry to a friend on her Yahoo Mail address. I asked her to check whether she got my email and she said yes, although she did not open the email. The next time she opens her mail, my message was already marked as "Read".

I have a Torch 9800 and I received about 246 messages a space of 5min. The messages were marked in red with a title "HACKERS" from <removed>. The message was very chicky written "your phone has been hacked, enjoy while we hacking your phone". Should I be worried about any of my info being exposed and utilised? How protected is my data? How can I prevent this from happening again?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a 9650 with BIS on Sprint. I get my e-mail through OWA. When I open or mark as read an e-mail on my phone, my Outlook inbox on my desktop is updated accordingly. However, when I open an e-mail on my desktop, my inbox on my phone is not updated to show that the e-mail has been opened. I have to go in an mark as read all of the items, which is a royal pain.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a facebook notification that shows up as seen, but not opened. So it does not have the red asterisk, but will not leave home screen. I cannot get it to go away.
Things I have tried:
-Soft reset
-Hard reset (pulling battery)
-Uninstalling Facebook via app world - made it go away
-Reinstalling Facebook via app world - made it come back
-As far as I can tell, it does not show up in either Messages or Facebook app
-Went to facebook website from laptop and open/cleared all notifications
-Went to mobile facebook website from phone and clicked on link that said "clear all notifications"
-Going into Messages, selecting today's date, then menu button, and "Mark Prior Opened"
-Going into Facebook app, notifications tab, selecting today's date, then menu button, and "Mark Prior Opened"
At this point I would be happy with understanding where the notifications that appear on your homescreen are stored and if I could maybe delete a cache file or something from windows when I have it plugged into my computer.
My incoming email is being marked as read before I read them. It is an att.net email address.Â

I am having tough times trying to figure it out why Gmail messages are not automatically marked as read it on my Blackberry after I read them on my computer at the Google Webmail page. I have just read 5 emails on Google web page and they are still appearing as unread it on my Blackberry. My wife has the iPhone, and it immediately marked messages as read it as well. Do I need to set any specific setting?

Whenever I get any mail on my BB and I read it, while Outlook is not open on my laptop, the mail is not delivered on my laptop at all. I have already ticked the "leave a copy of messages on Server" in accounts settings.
Further, I receive mails on my BB in bunches after a gap varying from 20 mins to 1 hour after the sender has sent the mail to me. I receive from 4 - 10 mails at one single time, but not as and when they are posted. After facing these problems, I upgraded the OS to 6.0.0 bundle 2647, however the behavior has not changed.
When my emails push through to my BB, they are automatically marked as unread in my yahoo account on my PC even when they have not been read anywhere...not on my PC or on my BB. How can I keep my emails marked as "unread" on my PC until they have truly been read?

My company has several E72 Nokias & NONE can view emails due to a html bug in the Nokia E72.If I can change my emails to be viewed in html that might be better. I also get a sync error after emails have downloaded & all i can see if the subject of the email. All other phones on our network that are not Nokia have no problems viewing emails.
