Jul 10, 2010I have set up two e-mail accounts on my new Blackberry 8520 Curve. A Gmail account which works fine and a Demon account. I can send e-mails on the Demon account but not receive e-mails. During the set up procedure I had to add the mail server details (pop3.demon.co.uk) and password.I have also received an e-mail from Orange (my carrier) asking me to update my password as messages from my e-mail address are not being delivered to the Blackberry device. When I do this nothing happens and it reverts to the email accounts screen which now shows the demon account as invalid. I have also tried to validate it by entering the password but again it reverts to the e-mail accounts screen.

Jun 6, 2010A couple of weeks ago my employer gave me a password to activate my Outlook account for my Curve 8530. I was able to send and receive emails for about 3 days, then I suddenly stopped receving emails.I can send email from my outlook address, my Sent Items appear and my Outlook calendar items appear on the blackberry calendar.I'm just not receiving emails through the Inbox.I've contacted my carrier and my IT department at work, but no one can figure out why I'm not getting emails on the Curve.The usual fixes aren't working.

Jan 25, 2010One step forward 2 steps back! I had a problem with my e-mails I stopped receiving messages on Friday and since talking to the service centre I now have 2 icons on my main screen. The new one has a globe at the bottom and my email address at the top when I scroll over it. All very nice but totally unnecessary.
Since this icon has appeared all my emails on my main computer are being marked as read. They were not before Friday Any ideas??

Jul 27, 2012Unable to receive incoming email to 1 email account on BB Curve 9330. tried several times Sprint support on phone and at store. Able to send emails from that email but it shows only on desktop. Other email accounts are running just fine.

I there comes new mail to my Gmail account, it immediately appears in my Bold also. If I read this mail on BB, it is marked as read also in my desktop client and on web interface. But if I read new mail in web interface or desktop client it remains marked as unread in Bold (even after few hours!) and I must mark as readed manualy in phone.

Aug 12, 2010Let the guy in the store "sync" with Desktop Manager. No link through enterprise server until I can get to office computer but that's ok. I am trying to work through MSN account. But it won't receive emails, it won't send emails and it won't let me change the set up.
When I go into setup, it asks for the user name and password. I use my msn user name (inclusive of the @msn.com) and it says it is too short and must be 4 characters! It is! If I leave off the @msn.com, it says my info is wrong.
And I can't figure out how to remove the email account so I can try setting it up again.I did try to set up my gmail account - same issue.
BB Torch :: Moving Hotmail Account To Receive Emails To New Device?
Jul 3, 2011I've just swapped a Bold for a Torch. I'm trying to sync my hotmail email account to it. I go to the set-up wizard as per usual and I'm told to "move my email accounts to receive emails to my new device" It tells me to insert my password, which I do. Message pops up saying the password has been verified. Then that's it. It just then has the option of returning to setup options. I go to my Messages folder and its tells me that no message services has been configured and it all starts again. My Facebook messages are in there but no hotmail.

I would like to prevent this from happening, I would like the e-mail to still appear as unread on my e-mail server/Outlook, even after I have read it on the Blackberry. How can I accomplish this.

Apr 8, 2012my blackberry curve is currently receiving sms text messages, but they only show up as an icon at the top of the main menu, i can't actually see them or even open them. i do not have this problem with mms or email. i also can't see texts when i go to the specific 'sms' inbox. i know i'm receiving them because friends have asked why i haven't responded. but it's like they're lost to some black hole in my phone.
things i've tried:i've tried rebooting the phone, at which point i've gotten the "uncaught exception: java.lang.ClassCastException" error. also, my phone is saying "attempting to open a secure server connection but the server's certificate is not trusted." sometimes i can just click close connection and get through to the phone but other times i can't.
i've tried rebooting the phone (taking the battery out), changing my themes settings to default (and using a default blackberry theme) and deleting all messages from my phone. nothing seems to be working -- what can I do to read text messages again?
BB Curve :: Outlook Emails Showing As Read After Scrolling Over
Nov 19, 2012I am having a problem with my blackberry curve and outlook email. If I scroll through my emails as soon as I scroll over one it changes to "read" even though I haven't opened the email and read it.
I can't find a solution for this, I only want my emails to show as read once I've actually clicked to open it and read the email.

I also have lost the ability to send text messages and emails, as well.Tried removing the battery and resetting that way, and have also done a soft reboot per AT&T's instructions.AT&T has also reset my registration (or something like that) and have verified that nothing in my service plan has changed.

Mar 21, 2010I joined Nokia Messaging service, downloaded the last version software using my Nokia E71 phone. When I signed for the service it asked me for my email account details, so I could not put the settings manually. The hotmail account works fine, but the other account cannot send messages. I cannot change the outgoing settings using my phone and I cannot edit the information on the nokia messaging website.
The incoming server seems to be ok (mail1.doctors.org.uk) but I cannot change the server details : smtp2.realmail-asp.co.uk. My provider is Tmobile (they gave me this: smtp.t-email.co.uk) they were not helpful and told me that they mainly support blackberry. My email accounts were working fine until I installed Nokia Messaging. I find Nokia Messaging very professional for messaging, but unsure if I will be able to make it work.
