I am unable to receive any picture messages?? I am also unable to set up a personal email account through blackberry its only giving me the option of a works email??
View 1 RepliesI got my first BB (8520) two weeks ago, and I still have not managed to get the email and MMS setup. If I go to messages, there is only SMS and email, no MMS options.. And when I try to set the email there is only the Enterprise option, I wanna set it up with my gmail.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI bought my first BlackBerry (Curve 3G 9300) on Friday and tried to setup a personal email account on the phone via the setup wizard earlier today.The phone said that an update to 6.11...... was needed in order to do this. I let it update, now the phone is just hanging after starting up. If I do a start up after removing the battery it comes up with a black screen with the BlackBerry logo and a progress bar below it. The progress bar moves along until the end, this takes around a minute. It then shows something like a little clock over the logo for about a second. Once this disappears the phone says with the logo and the completed progress bar - and just hangs there.

View 9 Replies View RelatedGot my BB curve 8025 at the weekend and have encounted afew things i didnt understand serched the net and found this site which as been a god send! I'm trying to set up email but atm its only giving me the option for setting up work email account with a BB enterprise server - I just want to set up a normal email account using my normal hotmail account but i cant get any further along as it asks for my enterprise activation password - which i obviously dont have?
Also - a few friend have gien me their pin so i can add them on BBM, i type the pin and it says contact pending but the person/s im trying to add get no notification that i'm trying to add them - we try it the other way with me giving them my pin and get the same result WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

I have now created a new email account, but am unable to set it up on my blackberry. On the setup menu it still has my old email address and asks for the password, which I type in but as the accounts deactivated doesn't connect! Then, some weeks ago I stopped receiving emails and I couldn't send either. I ended up removing both email accounts and then I set up one of them, tried it and it worked. Then I went and tried to set up the second one but I haven't been able to do so since.I go to Setup > Email Settings > Add > Gmail (the account I want to set up is on Gmail). I write the correct email address and password and click on Next, it says it's "Processing, prease wait..." and then every time it says "Update Failed".
I've tried also choosing Other instead of Gmail when trying to add the second account but at the end it gives me the same error, "Update Failed". have the BlackBerry Desktop Software 2.4.0 and I've looked there for an option to try and set up my second email account through the software but there just seems not to be such an option.'ve never had any other problem when it comes to the email or the internet connection in general.'ve been looking for a solution in the forum but I haven't found anything.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI want to setup email connection. On this 9360 I do not have any Connection Assistant so I use "setup" mode and "mail accounts" options. Usually (as on my previous Curve 8520) I used to have two options when entering there :
- Use my own email address (personal address) or create a new one
- Use my Enterprise email address
But when I launch Email setup on my curve 9360, I have only the Enterprise option so that I Cannot setup email! My 9360 runs under OS 7.
Is this true, or do I just have a problem? I notice my AT&T friends can send me pictures, but when my Verizon friends send me pics, nothing comes through but the text? Do I need to set something up special? Or is this reality?

All types of trouble shooting have been done with my carrier without positive result in resulving the issue. A collegue in my office with iphone he is using with Spring has the same problem. How come other cellphone users are able to exchange photos and those of us with ihone could not? Considering the cost of iphone, I believe it will shameful if could fail to make these device work perfectly. The email sent to me by Apple does not contain anything new other than telling me to back-up, erase the phone contents and relauch it. It was done without any change.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought this phone approximately 2 months ago. The dealer claimed the phone was new but upon usgae of the phone everyday, I began to believe otherwise. I have a full 4G internet plan on my phone and when I tried to setup my email for the first time, I was unable to access the option on my phone. Everytime I selected "setup internet mail account" , nothing happened. It was like the option didn't exist.Upon calling my service provider, I was informed that someone had my phone before and had their plan on it and it somehow blocked my ability to setup or change the previous email options and that it can only be accessed if I get the email address of the previous user, which is impossible because I bought it thinking it was new without any previous records. I tried everything! Factory restore etc! Nothing works because the option is somehow disabled. Is it possible to somehow rectify this situation? There must be some history attached to the PIN of this phone.
