Is this true, or do I just have a problem? I notice my AT&T friends can send me pictures, but when my Verizon friends send me pics, nothing comes through but the text? Do I need to set something up special? Or is this reality?

I have not had any trouble sending text just receiving them. I have only been notified by one person using an android that they had sent a text which I did not receive. All other text issues have been sent from iphones which my children have. I contacted Straight Talk which is my carrier and they told me that if I could send a text to myself and receive it then it was not my phone. I had a Samsung Proclaim previously and did not have any trouble. I have sent a text to myself as Straight Talk suggested and I received it fine. Both phones were/or are on the Straight Talk plan using verizon towers.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently switched from an iphone 4 to an LG G3 and have been unable to consistently receive group messages from iphone users. Sometimes messages will come through, but about 95% of the time I do not receive them; however, the people in my group do receive my messages. I am aware that this is a common issue among Android users, and I have read about it extensively online for weeks now, but I still have not come up with a solution. I have tried using multiple different messaging apps including the default messaging app, chomp sms, textra, hangouts, etc. I have also turned off imessages on my old phone, typed in the code for Apples "unsubscribe" from imessage thing, and texted STOP to the number to disable imessages.
I am running the latest version of Android. I also replaced my old SIM but still no luck. MMS group message settings are all enabled on my phone too. I didn't see a post about this in regards to the LG G3 specifically so I decided to make one. I have heard suggestions of people saying to tell your iphone friends to adjust settings on their phones, but I wanted to find a solution without having to tell all of my friends to mess with their settings to accommodate me. I absolutely love everything about my new android phone after making the switch from Apple, but this one problem is seemingly large that I hope it doesn't force me to go back to an iphone.
Why cannt I send and receive picture messages from my iphone. I am using ipbone 3 with 3g and with data plan with T-Mobile. All types of trouble shooting have been done with my carrier without positive result in resulving the issue. A collegue in my office with iphone he is using with Spring has the same problem. How come other cellphone users are able to exchange photos and those of us with ihone could not? Considering the cost of iphone, I believe it will shameful if could fail to make these device work perfectly. The email sent to me by Apple does not contain anything new other than telling me to back-up, erase the phone contents and relauch it. It was done without any change.

I recently bought the nokia C3-00 on Vodafone but due to the area i live in the signal was rubbish so had to get the phone unlocked to use my old O2 one.
