I just got a Curve 8530. When I view an e-mail on my Blackberry, it causes the same e-mail to be marked as "read" on my e-mail server and in my MS Outlook. I would like to prevent this from happening, I would like the e-mail to still appear as unread on my e-mail server/Outlook, even after I have read it on the Blackberry. How can I accomplish this.

On my old phone, when I checked my email messages on the phone, the messages remained "unread" on the server, so that when I got to work, I would know that those messages had not been dealt with. Only the messages I read or responded to on my phone showed up as "read" on the server. On the Razr Maxx, the minute the emails download to the phone, they show up as "read" on my computer, even if I never opened them on the phone.The old phone had some kind of setting that gave me the option to leave messages unread on the server, but I can find no such setting on the Razr Maxx and live tech support said it did not exist either. I use Verizon and the email is set up on a POP 3 account?

I can't find a solution for this, I only want my emails to show as read once I've actually clicked to open it and read the email.
My Curve suddenly stopped receiving text messages and it shows I have email messages, however, I am unable to access them. I also have lost the ability to send text messages and emails, as well.Tried removing the battery and resetting that way, and have also done a soft reboot per AT&T's instructions.AT&T has also reset my registration (or something like that) and have verified that nothing in my service plan has changed.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm unable to read individual emails when using the Outlook Web Access site in the internet browser window.I am using this to check work email and would rather do it this way (over the internet) than using the e-mail client that is part of the device. I'm able to log-in to my inbox and see everything I should see, however when I try clicking on an individual email to read it, nothing happens. I've tried clicking on the sender's name, the subject line and everything else on the line for that email. When I do that nothing happens.Am I doing this wrong? I had a problem with my e-mails I stopped receiving messages on Friday and since talking to the service centre I now have 2 icons on my main screen. The new one has a globe at the bottom and my email address at the top when I scroll over it. All very nice but totally unnecessary.
Since this icon has appeared all my emails on my main computer are being marked as read. They were not before Friday Any ideas??

My company has several E72 Nokias & NONE can view emails due to a html bug in the Nokia E72.If I can change my emails to be viewed in html that might be better. Whenever I get any mail on my BB and I read it, while Outlook is not open on my laptop, the mail is not delivered on my laptop at all. I have already ticked the "leave a copy of messages on Server" in accounts settings.
Further, I receive mails on my BB in bunches after a gap varying from 20 mins to 1 hour after the sender has sent the mail to me. I receive from 4 - 10 mails at one single time, but not as and when they are posted. After facing these problems, I upgraded the OS to 6.0.0 bundle 2647, however the behavior has not changed.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having problems with my email in my 5800 can anyone help?it has worked perfectly since I had it until January when it suddenly decided to download every email I have ever kept on my server (several hundred) I then had a fiddle with the settings and now once it picks up my emails and I've looked at them it automatically deletes them from the phone and the server without asking even though I've checked the 'always ask button' I have lost several very important documents this way. I have previously not had this problem in fact when I deleted e-mails before this problem and hit the 'delete from phone and server' the e-mail still remained in my home computer. I have gone through all the settings on the phone many times and cannot see why this should be happening.

I searched this forum and looked through dozens of topics, but none seemed to quite fit my circumstances.What I do is, if I get an email on my iPhone while I'm away from home and my wireless network, I read and answer it with the iPhone. Then when I get home, I open Mail on my laptop and it "gets" the same email, marked as unread with no record of a reply. Perfectly natural.Then I plug in my iPhone and it syncs - I do specifically see the "Syncing Mail accounts" portion on iTunes - but the emails on my laptop remain unread and the reply email does not appear in the sent mail folder. That hardly seems synced to me, and I'm not sure what's causing the problem.
