BB Software :: Facebook Notification Will Not Be Marked As Read

I have a facebook notification that shows up as seen, but not opened. So it does not have the red asterisk, but will not leave home screen. I cannot get it to go away.
Things I have tried:
-Soft reset
-Hard reset (pulling battery)
-Uninstalling Facebook via app world - made it go away
-Reinstalling Facebook via app world - made it come back
-As far as I can tell, it does not show up in either Messages or Facebook app
-Went to facebook website from laptop and open/cleared all notifications
-Went to mobile facebook website from phone and clicked on link that said "clear all notifications"
-Going into Messages, selecting today's date, then menu button, and "Mark Prior Opened"
-Going into Facebook app, notifications tab, selecting today's date, then menu button, and "Mark Prior Opened"
At this point I would be happy with understanding where the notifications that appear on your homescreen are stored and if I could maybe delete a cache file or something from windows when I have it plugged into my computer.
I have Yahoo on my iPhone, right? When I read an email in my Yahoo account on my iPhone, and later log into my Yahoo account, it shows those messages as read. Heck, I can even file my emails away in my folders, if I want to; i.e. move them over to my bills folder, or my purchases folder, or my mom folder.Now, here's the deal with my other account tho. I have my work emails going to my iPhone too. At work, I use Outlook. I do not know a whole lot about how things are set up over here, but I have access to answers if you guys can help me find out the right questions to ask. When I read a work email on my iPhone, and I get to work the next morning, there it is, bold and unread. I really want it to show as read. I get an obnoxious amount of work emails. The whole point in keeping up with them on my phone is to save me time in the long run. So, when I get to work and have to re-read them all, I've saved nothing. I just purchased a Blackberry Curve 9300.. I sent an email (I have a yahoo account) using my blackberry to a friend on her Yahoo Mail address. I asked her to check whether she got my email and she said yes, although she did not open the email. The next time she opens her mail, my message was already marked as "Read".
I'm having an issue with emails being marked as read in my work Outlook Inbox as soon as they are sent to my Torch 9850, even though I have not opened the email on my phone or on my PC.
First of all, this is not my blackberry - it's a customers device.what is happening is when they recive an email on there BB, it is automaticly marked as being read on outlook when downloaded, regardsless if it has been read on the BB or not.
I have a 9650 with BIS on Sprint. I get my e-mail through OWA. When I open or mark as read an e-mail on my phone, my Outlook inbox on my desktop is updated accordingly. However, when I open an e-mail on my desktop, my inbox on my phone is not updated to show that the e-mail has been opened. I have to go in an mark as read all of the items, which is a royal pain.
I am having tough times trying to figure it out why Gmail messages are not automatically marked as read it on my Blackberry after I read them on my computer at the Google Webmail page. I have just read 5 emails on Google web page and they are still appearing as unread it on my Blackberry. My wife has the iPhone, and it immediately marked messages as read it as well. Do I need to set any specific setting?
I have a Blackberry Curve 8530 with v5.0.xx installed. I just setup my Gmail IMAP on my BB and when I read a message on my BB it doesn't show as read on my computer and visa versa.
One step forward 2 steps back! I had a problem with my e-mails I stopped receiving messages on Friday and since talking to the service centre I now have 2 icons on my main screen. The new one has a globe at the bottom and my email address at the top when I scroll over it. All very nice but totally unnecessary. Since this icon has appeared all my emails on my main computer are being marked as read. They were not before Friday Any ideas??
I have an S6 and can not find how to set up the text message alerts to continue notification every minute until the text is opened? Also - my notifications are only sent on the first text not when the responses come in?
I use E66 and E52 phones. When I receive a new message, notification light starts flashing on both phones. It is OK. But... I often use Nokia PC Suite for managing my messages. When I read all new messages on E66, notification light automatically changes its self from flashing mode to "breathing". It's fine. But it doesn't work on my E52. When I read all new messages, notification light is still flashing (no "breathing"!) on E52. I read manual and I know that it is necessary to use my phone directly to stop flashing. Why (if all messages has been read)? I think, it correct works on E66. What is the problem? I use latest version of firmware and Nokia PC Suite (not OVI Suite!). I contacted Nokia HelpDesk, but they told me something like "it is not a bug, it is a feature".
Mine blinks once when messages etc com in but that's it,no continuous blinkjng until I read text etc,can this be altered,also I think I read there are APS to set different colours or patterns for notifications ,is this correct ?
I recently brought out a contract with o2 for a htc one, got home set up all my notification sounds, I was getting sound for my facebook posts, but the next day I turned my phone on and they were coming through but no sound, if I get a notification on there my phone just vibrates but for other stuff i get the sound, if I get a message on fb I get a sound too, not sure why it has done this and I am not sure how to change it ....
I recently downloaded the Facebook app from BBAppWorld, and it's been working perfectly fine.
Anyway, I know that when you get a new notification, a little icon appears at the top of your screen with the blue 'F' logo and a red star on, to show that it's unread. Anyway, I checked all my notifications then deleted them, but I still have a '1 F' icon at the top (without a red star) - even after deleting all my notifications again.
Everytime i click for notifications, an error message appears. "Cannot retrieve the notifications. Please try again later [601/Parser error:unexpected '-' at position 64.]"
I don't like any vibration on my phone. I don't know where to turn off the vibrate for Facebook notification, Tv controls, double tap home screen. I already turned the vibration for call feedback, keyboard and everything I can find in settings.
I had to get a replacement BB today, and I downloaded FB for BB onto the new phone and now I don't get any of my notifications through the app. I don't want notifications through email OR text.
In the past few days my HTC Desire has started vibrating twice whenever a new facebook notification arrives. As this is very frequent, I find it incredibly annoying. It didn't used to do it so I wonder what has changed and how can I stop it happening?
On my home screen the blue F symbol is always on screen with the number 5 next to it.....even when there are no new notifications, messages etc in the application....
I have tried deleting the facebook application and reinstalling it, but the 5F symbol is still there!!
It will go up in number and have a star next to it when there are new notifications for me to view, but it's really annoying me that it's there all the time and its wrong!
My notification bar is not showing facebook birthdays and also in the calendar there's no option for facebook calendar. although its checked on the facebook application...
I am the user of bold 9780 and updated version of facebook. I'm having a problem since yesterday that the FB notification has not come out and this never happen to me before. What make me really disappointed is when I press "Notification" in menu, its come out what I'm posting, not the posting that made from my friend. I checked the "Option" menu but nothing changed even I reinstall but the problem is still there, just now I'm using my android to check the notification, I checked also your facebook support page but the solution is no use for me as I set that already.
How do I get rid of the facebook notification in the second bar on my home screen? It looks like a notification about one bbm message, accept next to the '1' there is a facebook icon, but when I go into facebook, there's nothing. The notification on my device's home screen doesn't go away.
i have a problem with my arc handset. me and my girlfriend both have the arc with andriod 2.3.3. the problem is if someone writes on my partners wall on facebook she recieves a notification on the notification bar on the top of the phone, however mine does not. ive reinstalled facebook app on the phone and even reinstalled the whole phone from scratch. ive gone through all settings to make sure there all the same and im at my wites end.
I have an HTC M8 on Verizon. I have noticed that recently I've been getting notifications for Facebook that popup/show up at the top of the screen below the notification bar (a la Apple's iOS). It pisses me off, as it'll happen when I'm in games (covering up 1/4 of the screen) and it'll even show up when I'm in Facebook!
