BB Curve :: Facebook Notification Won't Go Away From Main

I recently downloaded the Facebook app from BBAppWorld, and it's been working perfectly fine.
Anyway, I know that when you get a new notification, a little icon appears at the top of your screen with the blue 'F' logo and a red star on, to show that it's unread. Anyway, I checked all my notifications then deleted them, but I still have a '1 F' icon at the top (without a red star) - even after deleting all my notifications again.
i have downloaded facebook on my bb and it is the download folder.how do i put the facebook icon onto the main screen so i dont have to go round the world to access it.
On my home screen the blue F symbol is always on screen with the number 5 next to it.....even when there are no new notifications, messages etc in the application....
I have tried deleting the facebook application and reinstalling it, but the 5F symbol is still there!!
It will go up in number and have a star next to it when there are new notifications for me to view, but it's really annoying me that it's there all the time and its wrong!
How do I get rid of the facebook notification in the second bar on my home screen? It looks like a notification about one bbm message, accept next to the '1' there is a facebook icon, but when I go into facebook, there's nothing. The notification on my device's home screen doesn't go away.
i just got the new bb curve 2, and i absoloutely love it, but for some reason, when i get a facehbook notification it does its regular vib/ring mix, but then every 10-20 seconds it vibrates again and it continues until i check the message, ive been woken up way too many times in the past 2 days because of this... does anyone know how to solve it?
My Facebook icon in the 'notification view' bar across the homepage has vanished. I must've changed a setting somewhere, but not in Facebook for BB or Facebook online. I've opened facebook in Setup, and things seem okay there.

I recently brought out a contract with o2 for a htc one, got home set up all my notification sounds, I was getting sound for my facebook posts, but the next day I turned my phone on and they were coming through but no sound, if I get a notification on there my phone just vibrates but for other stuff i get the sound, if I get a message on fb I get a sound too, not sure why it has done this and I am not sure how to change it ....
Everytime i click for notifications, an error message appears. "Cannot retrieve the notifications. Please try again later [601/Parser error:unexpected '-' at position 64.]"
I don't like any vibration on my phone. I don't know where to turn off the vibrate for Facebook notification, Tv controls, double tap home screen. I already turned the vibration for call feedback, keyboard and everything I can find in settings.
I had to get a replacement BB today, and I downloaded FB for BB onto the new phone and now I don't get any of my notifications through the app. I don't want notifications through email OR text.
In the past few days my HTC Desire has started vibrating twice whenever a new facebook notification arrives. As this is very frequent, I find it incredibly annoying. It didn't used to do it so I wonder what has changed and how can I stop it happening?
My notification bar is not showing facebook birthdays and also in the calendar there's no option for facebook calendar. although its checked on the facebook application...
I am the user of bold 9780 and updated version of facebook. I'm having a problem since yesterday that the FB notification has not come out and this never happen to me before. What make me really disappointed is when I press "Notification" in menu, its come out what I'm posting, not the posting that made from my friend. I checked the "Option" menu but nothing changed even I reinstall but the problem is still there, just now I'm using my android to check the notification, I checked also your facebook support page but the solution is no use for me as I set that already.
i have a problem with my arc handset. me and my girlfriend both have the arc with andriod 2.3.3. the problem is if someone writes on my partners wall on facebook she recieves a notification on the notification bar on the top of the phone, however mine does not. ive reinstalled facebook app on the phone and even reinstalled the whole phone from scratch. ive gone through all settings to make sure there all the same and im at my wites end.
I have an HTC M8 on Verizon. I have noticed that recently I've been getting notifications for Facebook that popup/show up at the top of the screen below the notification bar (a la Apple's iOS). It pisses me off, as it'll happen when I'm in games (covering up 1/4 of the screen) and it'll even show up when I'm in Facebook!
I only go on facebook every now and then on my phone and I have before and got the notification and was able to delete them. Tonight when I clicked on the 10fb icon, nothing shows...?
I have a facebook notification that shows up as seen, but not opened. So it does not have the red asterisk, but will not leave home screen. I cannot get it to go away.
Things I have tried:
-Soft reset
-Hard reset (pulling battery)
-Uninstalling Facebook via app world - made it go away
-Reinstalling Facebook via app world - made it come back
-As far as I can tell, it does not show up in either Messages or Facebook app
-Went to facebook website from laptop and open/cleared all notifications
-Went to mobile facebook website from phone and clicked on link that said "clear all notifications"
-Going into Messages, selecting today's date, then menu button, and "Mark Prior Opened"
-Going into Facebook app, notifications tab, selecting today's date, then menu button, and "Mark Prior Opened"
At this point I would be happy with understanding where the notifications that appear on your homescreen are stored and if I could maybe delete a cache file or something from windows when I have it plugged into my computer.
its been about 5 weeks.. my facebook notification on my facebook application are not receiving.i've tried deleting the facebook application and then re-installing it... and NOTHING WORKS!
Im trying to log into facebook on my blackberry curve 8530. And keep telling me a connection cannot be established to the facebook server. Ive tried restarting the phone,taking the battery out and all.

Lately I've noticed Facebook notification, including icons, appear when I open my Droid Turbo. Is this something new, a Motorola upgrade or a Facebook feature. It doesn't bother me, just wondering how I slept this change.
I just got the Galaxy S5 and cannot figure out how to suppress the red Facebook indicator bubble (this probably has a name) that shows on the Facebook app icon on the home screen when there has been some sort of activity. Under Application Manager, Facebook...the Show Notification box is unchecked.
I've also tried Settings, Sounds and notifications, Facebook and turned On the Block all notifications. Still getting the bubble!
When I updated Facebook the Facebook Icon stopped working. I tried to delete it but a messege came up say Facebook already scheduled for deletion. Deletion will occur when handheld is restarted. How do I restart the handheld device? I have an 8520 v5
Ever since I updated the facebook app to the lastest version with push notification. I've been getting fake notifications like crazy. for example, I'll get a pop-up notification that so-so (someone I don't have as a friend) sent you a message when I click on view and the app takes me to my facebook page theirs no message. Actually whenever I get one of these the badge on the facebook icon does not update. I just get the pop-up and that will also show on my lockscreen info.
