Mar 14, 2011I think I accidentially deleted something & then suddenly all of my Icons on the main screen dissappeared. And all I get is a blank yellow circle that I can move across the bottom of the Screen. Also after the accidential deletion, I intermittently got "Error 523" with "Reboot" or something like that. On the secondary screen where it would normally display all Icons, I only get a blank screen (just showing my background) with no icons. It does however show stuff like the battery symbol, notifications, wifi symbol, etc.
I reinstalled the most recent firmware that I could reinstall.It restored the Icons on the secondary screen but none on the first screen and still only get a blank yellow circle that I can move back and forth across the screen. & I also lost the ability to "move" Icons. Even tried "Alt+BB button" & not able to move Icons,I took out the battery, Sim card & memory card & then reinserted them. Still no Icons on the first screen & on the second screen where all the Icons would show is now blank again.Anyone know how I can restore the Icons to the first Screen? How I can get the move function back & get all my Icons to not dissappear off the second screen?

Jun 3, 2011I changed the icons on my main screen. But when I did that, my icons are now all screwed up. on my main screen, when I click my blackberry app icon, games pops up. Jan 17, 2010I organized my screen for hours on my BB8330, created some sub folders and put all icons in order. And, I lost my "Options" and "Compose" icons, which is like the most important ones! I read all suggestions here. It is not hidden, it is not in another folder, it just gone. Now when I change the Theme, I do see it, but all my work is gone, and I like my current Theme of Sprint. Any idea how to restore my lost icons on my current Theme? Look like a BB common problem.

Apr 3, 2011My message icon on the main screen "menu" vanished. I can no longer receive messages, and all the messages that I had stored vanished, since the message icon disappeared. I seem however, able to send messages by going to the email, but instead of composing email, i compose sms. However, I never get any replies. The message icon disappeared approximately two weeks ago. I went to the 02 store and the technical assistant took my phone for about 30 minutes, and then gave it back to me, saying he had no idea what had happened. He initially thought it had been "hiden" but it appears to be no where!

Jun 27, 20129800 Torch When I set up new Email account in Setup - Email Accounts menu it doesn't apear as a shortcut on mainscreen.I have an account on mts.blackberry.com and I can see my email account there. But I can't send e-mail from my device, because "No message service configured. You will be redirected to The Setup Wizard to setup your email accont". Then the OS opening the wizard and i can see my accounts there.I have upgrated my software (with BlackBerry Desktop Software), did the Security Wipe, tryed to delete and then add my email account - nothing. Apr 3, 2012I've recently updated to 5.01 and since then whenever i access my contacts and select a number the phone reverts to the main screen. Same thing applies for mail and calendar. Despite numerous restore attempts its still happening and i'm having to use 'Recents' as my contact book which pretty much limits me to an Indian take away and my mum....

Mar 18, 2010Just got my 9700. All in all, I like it except the UI is horrific. The majority of the screen is taken up by the green stuff which serves absolutely no purpose and to get to the screen with all the icons I need to click on the BB button. Obviously, this is subjective and maybe people like this green stuff, but can someone tell me if there is a way to bypass this and have the screen with all the icons be my default? Perhaps someone wrote a theme or something like that?

It is slightly smaller than the yellow envelope, seems to be a grey envelope, with a black 'seal' and a tiny red circle on the top right corner which may have the number '1' in it - all very difficult to see.I've checked all my emails - all empty.No RIM messages either.No BlackBerry World updates.Removed battery & rebooted.
